USER MANUAL RSMM1403E Redmond
Read the user manual carefully and keep it as a reference book. Proper use of the ap- pliance will signicantly prolong its life. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, ofces and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
Before installing the appliance, check that the device voltage corresponds with the supply voltage in your home (refer to rating plate or technical data).
While using the extension cord, make sure that its voltage is the same as specied on the device. Using different voltage may result in a re or other accident, causing appliance damage or short circuit.
Use only earthed electric sockets as this is an obliga- tory safety requirement. Use an earthed extension cord as well.
Metal parts of the appliance are heated during op- eration. Do not touch them with your hands when the device is connected to a power outlet. Do not switch on the empty appliance. Never touch the inner surfaces of the heated appliance.
Bread can burn that's why the appliance should not be used close to or under ammable materials, e.g. curtains.
Always unplug the device after use, before cleaning or moving. Never handle the plug with wet hands. Do not pull the power cord to disconnect from the outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces (gas or electric ovens) or sharp edges. Do not let the cord hang over edge of a table or a counter. REMEMBER: damaging the cord may lead to afailure that will not be covered by the war-RSM-M1403-E

The appliance can be used only with the closed lid.
Do not cover the appliance during operation. It may lead to overheating and breakage of the appliance.
Do not operate the appliance outdoors, to prevent water or any foreign object or insect from getting into the device. Doing so may result in serious damage ofthe appliance.
Always unplug the device and let it cool down before cleaning. Follow cleaning and general maintenance guidelines when cleaning the unit. DO NOT immerse the device in water or wash itunder running water!
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Chil- dren shall not play with the appliance. Keep the ap- pliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

I . PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Carefully remove the unit and its accessories from the packaging. Dispose of all packag- ing materials and promotional stickers. Keep all warning labels, warning stickers (if any), and the serial number identication label located on the housing. The absence of the serial number will deprive you of your warranty benets! Completely unwind the power cord. Wipe the unit with a moist cloth. Rinse the remov- able details with soapy water; dry all elements of the appliance before plugging in. Unwanted odour during the rst use doesn’t signify the appliance defect. After transportation or storage at low temperatures allow the appliance to stay at room temperature for at least 2 hours before use. Place the appliance on a hard, even and horizontal surface so that the escaping hot steam does not fall on wallpaper, decorative coatings, electronic devices or any other objects or materials that could be damaged by humidity, or high temperatures. Ensure that outer and visible inner parts of the appliance are not damaged, do not have chips and other defects. Before using the appliance as intended, perform the heating cycle with the empty sandwich maker (having preliminarily xed the working plates) to remove technical protective oil. Then unplug the appliance, let cool down and clean according to section "Cleaning and maintenance". This process should be performed for each set of the removable plates. II . OPERATION Replacement of the removable metal plates
Press the lock-on buttons alternately on the housing of the appliance and remove the metal plates.
3. Fix the selected removable plates into the appliance so that the perforations on the
plates align with the slots in the housing. Carefully press the plates until they click. DO NOT replace the metal plates if the appliance is plugged in. Use of the appliance
1. Plug in the appliance. Orange power indicator will light up solid. When the ap-
pliance reaches the required temperature the green indicator will light up solid. The appliance is ready for operation. You can use the appliance irrespectively of green indicator lighting if the appliance is plugged in. If the green indicator goes out during operation that means the Keep Warm function was automatically enabled.
Open the appliance. Depending on the type of adjusted plates put ingredients for sandwiches, the dough for wafes or products for cooking on a grill onto the lower heating surface (meat, vegetables, etc.). Ensure the plates are not overlled.RSM-M1403-E
GBR Non-stick plate coating allows to cook without oil. However, you may apply a small amount of vegetable oil or butter to plate working surface if desired.
3. Press products with the upper plate until the lid lock mechanism clicks. There can be
a small distance between plates.
4. The heating indicator will be occasionally lit up during cooking. The cooking time
isdened by the type of product (the type of bread, lling) and your taste. Cooking process takes 4-5 minutes on an average.
Open the lid of the appliance after a while. If the dish has acquired golden crust, remove it with a wooden or silicone spatula.
Unplug the appliance at the end of operation. Clean the appliance according to recom- mendations of the section "Cleaning and maintenance".
III. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DO NOT use coarse tissues or sponges, abrasive pastes for cleaning. It is also not recommended to use any chemically aggressive or other substances, not recommend- ed for use with items which contact with food. DO NOT immerse the housing and power cord into water or rinse it under running water. Wipe the housing of the appliance with a damp soft cloth, ensure the moist doesn't get inside the appliance. Wash the removable metal plates with warm soapy water after each use. Do not wash metal plates in a dishwashing machine. Completely dry all parts of the appliance before operation or storage. Store the appliance in a dry ventilated place far away from sun rays and heating devices.

This warranty comes into force only in case an original warranty service coupon with a serial article number and an accurate impress of the company of the seller proves the purchase date. This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by the failure to use this product for its normal purpose or in accordance with the instructions on the proper use and maintenance of the product, or any kind of repair works. Do not try to disas- semble the appliance and keep all package contents. This warranty does not cover normal wear of the appliance and its parts (lters, bulbs, non-stick coating, gaskets, etc.). The service life and the applicable product warranty period start on the date of purchase or the date of manufacture (if the purchase date cannot be established). You can determine the manufacture date by the serial number, located on the identica- tion label on the housing of the appliance. The serial number consists of 13 digits. 6th and 7th digits of the serial number identify the month, 8th digit the year of manufacture. The service life of the product, established by the manufacturer is 3 years from the date of purchase, provided that the unit is used and maintained in accordance with the user manual and applicable technical standards. Environmentally friendly disposal (WEEE) The packaging, user manual and the device itself shall be taken to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and elec- tronic equipment. Do not throw away the electronic waste to help protect the environment.8 Old appliances must not be disposed with other household waste but must be col- lected separately. Municipal disposal of recyclable wastes is free of charge. The owners of old appliances are required to bring it to a waste facility centre. With this little extra effort, you can help to ensure that valuable raw materials are recycled and pollutants are treated as appropriate.
