q Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
q Only use the appliance in the way indicated in this instruction manual.
q Should you hand over the appliance to another user, make sure to hand over the instruction manual together with the appliance.
q Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance. The appliance must be connected to an earthed power outlet.
q To ensure a major security, it is recommended to set up a current flight jump 30 mA in the electric circuit. Ask your electrician for advice.
q Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
q People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.
q Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
q From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician(*). All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*).
q Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Do not use the appliance as a plunger. Never put it in the dishwasher.
q Do not use the appliance when it is raining or when it is wet.
q Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
q Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur.
q The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use or before it has cooled down. Do not touch these surfaces but use the handle.
q Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
q Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
q Only use charcoal or charcoal briquettes as fuel!

USE
- Fill about half of the grill tray with the necessary fuel.
- Position the heating element on the fuel in such a way that the handle of the firelighter remains outside the grill tray.
- Now fill the grill tray with the remaining fuel but do not exceed the metal mark. Handle and cord shouldn't come into contact with the fuel.
- Check again if appliance and cord are in the right position.
- Put the plug in an earthed power outlet.
• Depending on quantity and quality of the fuel, it will start glowing within 10 to 15 minutes. - Unplug the appliance, then lift it carefully out of the grill tray. Grab the handle with one hand only and let the appliance cool down on its support, which should stand on a sufficiently large and heat-resistant surface.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
- A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
•The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance.
•The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top, where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol the rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it free of charge to a municipal collection point performing waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with the directive.
TERMS OF GUARANTEE
For our products, the legal terms concerning claims under guarantee are valid. During the legal period, all material and manufacturing defects are covered. No claims will be accepted for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held responsible in case of accidents.
If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs repair.

Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service in our firm in Bad Blankenburg.
In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged. Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
AFTER THE LEGAL PERIOD OF GUARANTEE
Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
