INTRODUCTION
With your new RACLETTE/GRILL/FONDUE you can prepare raclette cheese or grilled food on the stone or grill plate, or fondue for 8 people. It is ideal to enjoy a meal in a cosy circle and is eminently suitable if your family likes to eat at various times, or favours different dishes.
PREPARATION FOR USE
This RACLETTE/GRILL/FONDUE has been designed so that you and your guests can prepare their meal individually. That's why the appliance should be placed in the middle of the table and the foodstuffs should be served separately on plates or in bowls. Raclette parties are fun, but not without danger. It makes sense to put the RACLETTE/GRILL/ FONDUE on a clean, even, steady surface, as this will give the best results.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Before using the RACLETTE/GRILL/FONDUE for the first time, please wash the raclette plate, the pans, the fondue bowl and the fondue forks in hot water with some mild washing-up liquid and dry all parts carefully. Clean the stone only with a damp cloth.
Before taking the appliance into operation, add a little cooking oil on a kitchen paper and grease lightly all surfaces that come into contact with the foodstuffs.
This small layer of oil ensures that the foodstuffs do not stick to the coating, which makes the cleaning afterwards easier. - When you have done all this, plug the unit into a wall socket. The red indicator lamp lights up and indicates that the appliance is in state of readiness. The appliance has an on-off switch, by pressing this key you can switch on the appliance. Put the regulator on the maximum position. Let the appliance heat in a sufficiently ventilated room for about 10 minutes. This process will evaporate all possible manufacturing residues (e.g. the protective coating of the heating element) and prepare the surfaces for the first use.
OPERATION
Preheat the RACLETTE/GRILL/FONDUE for about 10 to 15 minutes.
ATTENTION: When preparing food or when cleaning, never use brushes with metal or nylon bristles, sharp utensils or knives. Avoid damages to the non-stick coating. Use the provided wooden spatulas.

ATTENTION:
Never use a multi-outlet power strip at the same time as other loads!

A) Grilling on the upper plate/on the stone
- When you do not use the fondue bowl, please put the stone in the notch of the grill plate.
You can prepare all kinds of food. We recommend greasing the plates with a kitchen paper with some cooking oil beforehand. You can grill thin steaks, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, courgettes and prawns.
Cut all ingredients as thin as possible in order to reduce the cooking time.
Also fried eggs or omelettes are suitable for preparation on the upper plate. - Serve your meals with an assortment of sauces, salad and white bread. As dessert also bananas, pineapples and other fruits that you can prepare in the pans or on the upper plate are suitable. With this, we recommend ice cream or pudding.
B) Raclette grill
You get the best result with the original raclette cheese, but you can also try other cheeses according to your taste, e.g. French soft cheese or Greek sheep's milk cheese, just as you like.
Take about 200 grams of cheese for each person and cut it into thin slices.
- Fill the raclette pans with the cheese, season it with a little pepper according to taste, and serve it after a cooking time of about 3 - 4 minutes (when it is melted and has become a golden yellow colour) together with baked potatoes or white bread. You may combine this preparation also with mixed pickles and/or salad.
The raclette pans can of course also be used for the preparation of other foodstuffs, such as eggs, omelettes, tomatoes, broccoli, hot peppers etc.
Please note that the raclette pans get hot during use and take them by the handle only.
C) Oil fondue
Fill the bowl for about a third with heat-resistant vegetable oil.
You can let the bowl with the oil heat on the raclette grill for about 30 minutes, but we recommend preheating the oil in the bowl on a normal cooker to save time. At the same time, preheat the appliance for about 15 minutes and put the bowl in the foreseen opening. Caution: danger of burning! It is recommended to use oven gloves. Put the fork holder ring on the upper edge of the bowl.
Cut the meat into small cubes or shape it into small minced meatballs, skewer them on the fondue forks and hold them in the hot oil until they have reached the desired degree of browning.
- Do not use the fondue forks as long as the appliance is still preheating, as the forks would heat up too much.
Take the forks only by their handle in order to avoid burns.
You can also marinate the meat before serving and cooking. You can also serve dipping sauces to accompany your ingredients. Alternatively there is the possibility of preparing a simple batter and rolling the pieces of meat, mushrooms or courgettes shortly in the batter before frying them.
Fish fillets - e.g. of tuna or monkfish - are also delicious when prepared in the fondue.
After use
Turn the adjusting knob to position ,0" and switch off the appliance. Unplug the appliance after use.
Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning or storing it.

CLEANING OF THE RACLETTE/GRILL/FONDUE
Always disconnect the power supply cable from the power supply and let the appliance cool down before carrying out any cleaning operation.
- Wipe the outside only with a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease enters the appliance.
We recommend cleaning all detachable parts in hot water with some mild detergent. Cleaning in a dishwasher is not recommended. Let the stone dry completely afterwards.
- Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. We recommend cleaning the appliance with hot water with some mild detergent.
