Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
When giving your appliance to a third person, make sure to give him/her the instruction manual as well.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance without supervision or instructions of a responsible person.
Close supervision is necessary if children are near the appliance in order to avoid that they use it as a toy.
From time to time check the appliance and its cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, all repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician*. Never use the appliance if it shows visible damage.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces (hot plates...).
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.
All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
Never touch the hot parts of the appliance, make use of the handles.
Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur.
Be careful not to scratch the special coating of the baking plate with sharp or metallic objects, as you might get little pieces of this coating into the food. Use a classical wooden spatula or a heat resistant plastic one.
The baking plates should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive cleaners. To clean the housing, a damp cloth and some mild detergent can be used.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially since it is not equipped with an on/off switch.
Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked.
Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.
UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow).
HOW TO BAKE PERFECT WAFFLES
- Before the first use, wipe the baking plates with a damp cloth to remove all packaging residues.
Lightly brush the baking plates with butter, margarine or cooking oil.
After having plugged in the appliance, the red pilot light (3) situated on the top cover will illuminate and the appliance will start heating. Put the regulation knob (2) on the "MAX" position. - Leave the appliance closed during healing in order not to avoid a waste of energy. A smell might occur when using the appliance for the first time. This will disappear after a short while.
- When the temperature is reached, the appliance stops heating and the green pilot light (4) illuminates. Now you can start the baking process.
- Pour dough evenly onto the middle of the bottom baking plate but not all the way to the edges. Press the lid down in order to spread the dough evenly on the baking plates. Do not overfill as dough might come out of the appliance.
- Bake until golden brown. The regulation knob allows you to gradually select a position anywhere in between the MAX" and MIN" positions and to vary the baking times. Remove the waffles with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use scratching objects, as these might damage the non-stick coating.
- The operating temperature is regulated by the thermostat. The green pilot light goes off every time the appliance will start heating.
If necessary, you can also set a lower temperature with the regulation knob. The regulation field is between MIN and MAX. - Unplug the appliance after use.
MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
- Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the waffle maker is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.
- Clean the cooled baking plates with a damp cloth or towel to remove crumbs and absorb excess oil.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish. You do not need to take the appliance apart for cleaning.
- To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth. On no account must the appliance be immersed in water.

and good practice. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified
or if some attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot
be held responsible in case of accidents
In the event of claim, in the first instance, please contact your vendor and return him your
complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt/guarantee card. The
guarantee will only be valid if the date of purchase and signature of the vendor is clearly
indicated on the guarantee card or if a copy of the receipt is sent with the appliance that
needs repair.
Or send the appliance well packed and freight prepaid to our customer service with a short
description of the default in capital letters with the mention "Repair under guarantee" together
with the guarantee card or receipt.
In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.
Pieces undergoing wear and tear (e.g., Motor brushes, dough hooks, driving bells, spare remote controls, spare toothbrushes, lighting, etc.) as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!
After the guarantee period
Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
