How many eggs can I cook at once?

The appliance can cook up to 7 eggs at a time.

How do I measure the water for cooking?

Use the provided measuring cup. Fill it with cold water up to the mark corresponding to the number of eggs and desired doneness (soft-boiled, medium, hard-boiled). Then pour the water into the cold appliance.

Should I pierce the eggs before cooking?

Yes, pierce the eggs at the thick end with the needle located under the measuring cup. This prevents trapped air from causing the egg to burst during cooking. Be careful not to break the shell.

How do I know when the eggs are cooked?

The appliance stops automatically when all the water has evaporated. An audio signal sounds and steam stops escaping. Then turn off the switch.

What should I do if an egg bursts during cooking?

Check that you pierced the eggs before cooking. Use eggs at room temperature to avoid thermal shock. Then clean the appliance after use.

How do I clean the appliance?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Clean the base with a damp cloth without immersing the appliance. The lid and egg holder can be washed by hand. For descaling, use a vinegar solution or commercial descaler.

Can I use the appliance without water?

No, the appliance needs water to produce steam. Operating it dry can damage it and poses a risk of overheating.

What should I do if the appliance does not turn on?

IMPORTANT

The boiling time depends on the size and temperature of the eggs.

Depending on the mineral content of the water used, the egg shell can be slightly discoloured. This harms neither the taste nor the quality of the egg.

CONNECTION OF THE EGG BOILER

Place the appliance on a solid supporting surface. The power supply connecting lead can be coiled up in the appliance base to the required length and be fed out from the cable outlet. Connect the appliance to the mains. For that purpose, the appliance must be switched off (pilot light - off).

MEASURING CUP

The measuring cup serves to fill the heating dish with water.

The scale divisions are based on the different degrees of hardness depending on the number of eggs to be boiled. Fill the measuring beaker up to the appropriate mark with cold water and then pour it into the cold appliance.

PRICKING OF THE EGGS

The egg pricking needle is located at the bottom of the measuring cup. The eggs are pricked at the thick end so that the enclosed air does not make the eggs burst later. Warning: press the needle carefully into the eggshell! Too forceful handling can lead to the eggshell being broken! Then you can place the eggs carefully, with the tapered end upwards, into the egg carrier.

BOILING PROCESS

After you have placed the hood on the egg boiler, you can switch on the appliance. After complete evaporation of the water, the built-in thermostat switches the heating off. You can tell by the fact that no more steam escapes from the appliance and by a buzzer signal. After the signal starts buzzing, put the switch into the OFF position.

In order to avoid scalding, you should keep your hands away from the steam outlet opening in the hood during the boiling process.

QUENCHING THE EGGS

Remove the hood, take out the egg carrier with the eggs and hold it under running cold water. Quenching of the eggs should take place immediately after termination of the boiling process, as otherwise the eggs become harder in the hot appliance.

To preserve and keep warm the boiled eggs you can let the egg boiler stand with the hood on it.

CLEANING

For cleaning the basic appliance remove the mains lead. For cleaning of all parts use a damp cloth. Possible calcium residues on the heater can be easily removed with a vinegar solution or a solution of commercially available decalcifiers.

No guarantee claims will be accepted for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or failure to descale where appropriate or otherwise clean/maintain your item in line with the instructions and good practise. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if some attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held responsible in case of accidents.

In the event of claim, in the first instance, please contact your vendor and return him your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt/guarantee card. The guarantee will only be valid if the date of purchase and signature of the vendor is clearly indicated on the guarantee card or if a copy of the receipt is sent with the appliance that needs repair.

Or send the appliance well packed and freight prepaid to our customer service with a short description of the default in capital letters with the mention "Repair under guarantee" together with the guarantee card or receipt.

In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged. Pieces undergoing wear and tear (e.g. Motor brushes, dough hooks, driving belts, spare remote controls, spare toothbrushes, lighting, etc.) as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!

After the guarantee period

Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
