6. Water tank with water level indicator

  • Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete.
  • Placetheapplianceonanevenandheatresistantsurface and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.
  • Beforemakingyourrstcoffee,rinsetheunitbyllingthe watertank(6)uptotheMax.markingandoperateit2-3 times without coffee. After that your coffee maker is ready for operation. Note: After each rinse cycle, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down.

babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation. Operation Brewing Coffee

1. Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface

and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.

2. To open the lid (7) of the water tank slide it sideways

andllthewatertank(6)withcold,freshtapwater.The markings on the water tank (6) indicate the required water level to brew the desired number of cups. Do not exceed theMax.llinglevel(10cups).

3. Close the lid (7) of the water tank.

5. For each cup of coffee, use one leveled measuring spoon

ofgroundedcoffee.Forstrongerormildercoffee,adjust the amount of coffee! 6.Closethelid(1)ofthelterholder(2)bypushingitback into its original position, make sure it’s properly locked in place.

7. Place the carafe (3) into the appliance.

8.PresstheOn/Offbutton(5)toswitchontheappliance. The integrated indicator light indicates that the appliance is in operation. The brewing process can be interrupted at any time by pressingtheOn/Offbutton(5).Oncetheunitisswitchedon again the appliance will continue with the brewing process. Note: If you wish to have a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is completed, remove the carafe (3) from the appliance. Due to the automatic drip stop, dripping will automatically cease.Putthecarafe(3)backwithin30seconds,dripping process will automatically resume.

9. After the brewing cycle is completed (no more water is

drippingthroughthelter),thecarafe(3)canberemoved. When serving coffee do not remove the lid in order to preserve the proper serving temperature. Note: Never open the lid of the lter holder during operation–hotwatercouldspill–Danger of serious burns! 10.Aslongastheapplianceisswitchedon,youcankeep the coffee hot, by returning the carafe (3) to the hotplate (4) after serving. The hotplate (4) will automatically cycle on and off to maintain the ideal serving temperature as long as the coffee maker is switched on.20 Attention: The appliance will automatically shut-off within40minutesandtheindicatorlightwillgoOFFaswell. Oncetheappliancehasautomaticallyshut-off,thekeeping warm function is also deactivated. Attention:-Despite the automatic shut-off, the appliance has to be switched off properly after each usage. -Beforeeachbrewingcycle,always make sure that the On/Off button is set to Off position. 11.Toswitchofftheappliancebeforetheautomaticshut-off, presstheOn/Offbutton(5). Note: If you wish to prepare more than one pot of coffee, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you are not using it! Cleaning and Care Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down. Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock! Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth. DESCALING Depending on the water quality and usage, calcication can occur. Therefore, to keep your coffee maker operating efciently,youshoulddescaleitonaregularbasis. Neveruseanysharp, pointed ormetalobjectsto remove limescale built up in the appliance. To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for your appliance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. After descaling, always rinse your appliance as described under Before First Use. Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks.22 Storage Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down. Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
