Information on these instruc- tions These operating instructions contain important information for proper and safe operation of the product. Therefore, read the operating instructions through in full before you use the product. Otherwise there is a risk of hazards to perso- nnel and damage to the product. Keep the operating instructions safe. If you pass on the product to third parties, you must also hand over the operating instructions with it. Intended use The product is used for purifying the air in dry, closed indoor rooms only. The product is not intended for commercial use but rather only domestic use. Intended use also includes com- pliance with all information and specications contained in these operating instructions. Any use other than for its intended pur- pose shall be deemed as misuse. LMisuse Misuse of the product can lead to hazardous situations. ■ Do not use the product as a replacement for fans, dehumidi- ers or extractor hoods. ■ Do not use the product simul- taneously with impregnation agents, hair sprays, insecticides or other ammable uids or fra- grances or in an environment with chlorine content. ■ Do not use the product in wet rooms, such as bathrooms or saunas. ■ Do not use the product in rooms with very greasy air, e.g. whilst frying in the kitchen. ■ Do not use the product in rooms with open re (replace, gas cooker, candles etc.). ■ Do not insert any objects into the openings of the product. L Children This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with redu- ced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. ■ Make sure that the product is set up out of the reach of child- ren. ■ Make sure that children are not allowed to play with the product at any time. ■ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. ■ Do not leave packaging mate- rial lying around unattended. LImproper handling Improper handling of the product can cause injuries. ■ Make sure that the product is connected properly. In the pro- cess, adhere to these operating instructions. ■ Make sure that the product is used properly. Never cover it. ■ Be aware that unauthorised conversion and / or modication of the product is prohibited. In case of unauthorised conver- sion and / or modication the warranty cover will be rendered null and void. ■ Contact the manufacturer or a specialist if you have any dou- bts regarding the way the pro- duct works, its safety or how to connect the product. ■ Before installation, cleaning or a period in which the product is not used, pull the mains/USB plug from the socket. LSetting up If liquids, damp air or re come into contact with the product, there is a risk of injuries. ■ Do not set up the product in rooms with high air humidity, such as bathrooms or saunas. ■ Make sure that no liquids enter into the inside of the housing. Functions The Medisana Air is a modern air purier which removes dust, pollen and bacteria from indoor air. LED display The colour of the LED display on the base of the pro- duct indicates the level of soiling in the 3-layer lter. When the environ- ment becomes darker, the speed of the fan is reduced automatically and thus the running noises are decrease. Cleaning and servicing ■ Before cleaning, pull the mains/USB plug. ■ Only clean the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Then rub it dry with a soft, dry cloth. ■ Do not under any circumstances us brushes, sharp cleaning implements, benzene, thinners or alcohol. Maintenance Apart from the lter change, the Medisana Air is mainte- nance-free. The LED lamp indicates when a lter has to be changed. How to change the lter is described on page 3. Contact our service department with any further questions. The service department address is included on the sepa- rate supplementary sheet. Disposal Electrical and electronic components must not be disposed of with the domestic waste. Once the product reaches the end of its service life, dispose of it and its components separately in accordance with the local valid regulations for disposal. Warranty and repair terms Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is. The following warranty terms apply: 1.The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of pur chase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice. 2.Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period. 3.Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts. 4.The following is excluded under the warranty: a.All damage which has arisen due to improper treat- ment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions. b.All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties. c.Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre. d.Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear. 5.Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.Art. 60300 / 6032010 Consignes de sécurité
