How to install the Brother MW100 printer?

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your computer. The installation program starts automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software. Connect the printer via USB or use the infrared connection. Consult the Quick Reference Guide for more details.

What type of paper to use with the MW100?

Use A7 thermal paper (105 mm x 74 mm) in Brother C-11 cassette (50 sheets). A7 labels (C-21) and A7 die-cut label sheets (C-41, C-42) are also available.

How to charge the printer battery?

Plug the supplied compact AC adapter into the printer and a wall outlet. The orange indicator light shows charging. The built-in lithium-ion battery fully recharges in a few hours.

Is the printer compatible with my smartphone?

The MW100 connects primarily via USB or infrared to a computer. For mobile use, it is compatible with Pocket PC and Palm via the supplied software. No Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.

What to do if printing is blurry or poor quality?

Check that the thermal paper is correctly inserted and not damaged. Ensure the print head is clean. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Consult the User Manual for cleaning procedures.

How to clear a paper jam?

Open the paper cassette compartment. Gently pull out the jammed paper. Avoid tearing the paper. Close and reinsert the cassette. If the problem persists, check that the paper is not wrinkled.

Insert the enclosed CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the computer running Windows®.

The installer automatically starts up and the Brother

Mobile Printing Software dialog box appears.

If the installer does not automatically start up, double-click

"My Computer", and then double-click

Prepare the printer.

Refer to the User's Guide. (The User's Guide can be viewed by clicking the Indicates User Guide button in the first dialog box that appears when the installer is started up to install the software.)
