Batteriedeckel/ Battery cover
Carmen Exact Combi trim Congratulations with your purchase of the Carmen Exact Combi trim. Please read these instructions carefully before using the product and keep them in a safe place for future reference. We wish you lots of pleasure with the Carmen Exact Combi trim!

Operating instructions Remove the protection cap. Put optional distance comb on the cutting head if you should trim the eyebrows (see section ¨Trimming of eyebrows“), otherwise you use the cutting head without comb. Start the appliance by turning the battery cover so that the line on the battery cover points towards the on marking on the main unit. To activate the integrated lamp you turn the battery cover so that the line on the battery cover points towards the lamp symbol on the main unit. To turn off the lamp, turn the battery cover to on to turn off the lamp or the off to turn off both lamp and appliance. Turn the appliance off after use by turning the battery cover so that the line points towards the off marking on the main unit. Trimming nasal hair Make sure that the nostrils are clean. Slowly move the cutting head (without comb) in and out to remove unwanted hair. Note! Do not stick it too long into the nostril, max 0.5 cm. You will get best result if you place the cutting head closely to the skin and this will also prevent a tickling feeling that may occur. Trimming ear hair Clean the outer part of the ear and make sure it is free from earwax. Pull the ear slightly back against the head with one hand and hold the trimmer16 • English with the other. Start the trimmer and move the cutting head around the outer part oft he ear to remove visible hair. Move the cutting head carefully into the ear (max 0.5 cm to avoid damaging the inner ear). Trimming of eyebrows Put on optional distance comb on the cutting head. Make sure that the comb fits the slides on the cutting head. It is recommended to start with the longest comb (6 mm) and change to the shorter (3 mm) if needed. Start the appliance by turning the battery cover so that the line on the battery cover points towards the inner, i.e. the nose. Note: never use the trimmer to the eyelashes. Turn the appliance off after use by turning the battery cover so that the line points towards the off marking on the main unit. Remove the comb by pulling it upwards. Battery change Turn the battery cover until the line on the battery cover points to the arrows on the main unit. Pull the battery cover to remove it Place 1 AA 1,5V battery according to the directions in the battery compartment Put the cover back and turn until the line on the battery cover points towards the off marking on the main unit Change batteries when the appliance works slowly to avoid bad result
Cleaning and maintance Use the enclosed brush to remove hair and/or rinse the cutting head under running warm water. The appliance should be turned on when rinsing it. Always remove the comb (if used) and wash it separately. Note: Do not immerse the complete appliance in water. Wipe dry with a towel before you put on the protection cap.
- Read the instruction carefully before use, and save it for future use
- Rinse the cutting head under running water. The main unit must not be immersed into water or other liquids. Should it get wet, it must be wiped off immediately, as liquids contain minerals which may result in rust in the electroni parts or which may totally destroy the electronic parts
- If the appliance gets dirty, the dirt can be wiped off with a slightly humid cloth, and then wiped with a dry cloth
- Never use the cutting head to the eyelashes
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances17 • English
- The appliance must not be used i fit has been dropped on the floor, or if iti is clear that the appliance is damaged
- Use only new batteries of the correct size. Used batteries should always be removed, as they may leak chemicals which may damage the circuitry oft he appliance
- The appliance is for domestic use only
- If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty
Environment and disposal When disposing of batteries it is essential to take the environment into consideration. Used batteries must never be disposed of with domestic garbage. Used batteries must be returned to one oft he authorized collection points. Batteries must be removed from the appliance before it is disposed of. Also take care that the batteries are not expired or become worn-out since there may then be a risk that the batteries will leak acid. Check the vadility date printed on the batteries. Disposal of the appliance Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for re-use and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating seperate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.
Guarantee The guarantee covers this product for a period of 2 years, with the exception of individual parts, beginning on the date of original purchase. Use of the guarantee does not result in extension of the guarantee period. The guarantee covers manufacturing faults and material faults in original parts. This guarantee does not include normal wear and tear and damage to the product by accident or misuse, abuse, alteration to the product or use inconsistent with the technical and/or safety instructions required. If your product requires repair, you should contact an authorized service dealer. Never dispose of your appliance with the regular household waste. Follow the waste disposal regulations for our locality or return your appliance to the retailer. Retain the retailer’s receipt as proof of purchase.
