> Important Safety instructions

The instructions include safety guidelines and other information important for the proper functioning of the appliance. Please read the instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.

If the appliance changes hands, be sure to give the instructions to the new owner. It is in your own interests to follow all safety guidelines.

• The appliance can only be used at the correct voltage: 220/240 Volts AC (Alternating Current).
• Never use the appliance in a bathtub or shower, above a sink filled with water or with wet hands. Also, do not use the appliance in the vicinity of a bathtub, sink or any other reservoir filled with water.

WARNING! Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• Never submerge the appliance in water. Even when you clean the appliance, it must not come into contact with water.
• When the appliance is turned on, never set it down on a soft cushion or blanket.
• Do not cover the air intake or air outlet during use.
• The dryer is fitted with an overload protection which switches off in the case of an overload (e.g. air outlet or intake is blocked). If the dryer switches off during use, please reset the graduated switch to 0 and wait for approx. 5 minutes. Then, switch on again.
• Turn off the appliance whenever drying is interrupted.

• Always disconnect the plug from the socket outlet:

• in the event of any malfunction during use;

• before cleaning the appliance;
• when the appliance is not being used.

• Do not pull on the mains lead when disconnecting the plug from the socket outlet.
• Never wrap the mains lead around the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance:

• when the mains lead is damaged;

• when the appliance is visibly damaged;

• when the appliance has fallen or been dropped.

• To avoid damaging of the hair do not hold the hairdryer too close to the hair.

• This appliance can be used by children from the age of 8 up as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lacking experience and/or knowledge, if these persons are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance in a safe way and have understood the hazards which could arise from using it. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

• Keep the packaging materials (for instance the plastic

wrapping) out of reach of children.

• The installation of a faulty current protective device with a rated breaking current offers you additional safety by ensuring that 30mA will not be exceeded in the house installation. Let your installation electrician advise you! Dangerous situations can also arise when the appliance is turned off. Therefore, the appliance's plug should always be disconnected from the socket outlet after use.
• The mains lead of the appliance must not be replaced. An appliance with a faulty or damaged mains lead can not be repaired and must be disposed of as waste material. Have a service provider authorised by the manufacturer inspect the product to minimise risks.
• Use the appliance for its intended purpose only.
• Chemical waste: a defective appliance should be rendered unusable. Consult your local authorities for information about waste disposal regulations.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use

since the proximity of water presents a hazard even then appliance is switched off!

After washing, towel dry your hair. Insert the plug into the socket and select the desired speed and heat setting.

Precision nozzle

Professional precision nozzle for styling and shaping. The precision nozzle concentrates the airflow enabling targeted drying of specific sections of hair. The precision nozzle is easily attached to the airflow outlet of the hairdryer.

Disconnect the plug of the appliance from the socket outlet. Never submerge the appliance in water. Do not allow dirt or hair products to build up on the appliance. Always wait for the appliance to cool down thoroughly before cleaning. Remove the attachment and use a damp cloth to remove any build up on the appliance and attachments, then dry with a soft cloth.

>Guarantee

A guarantee covers this product for a period of 2 years, beginning on the date of original purchase. Use of the guarantee does not result in extension of the guarantee period. The guarantee covers manufacturing faults and material faults in original parts. Normal wear and tear and damage resulting from inappropriate use are not covered by the guarantee. If your product requires repair, you should contact an authorized service dealer.

Never dispose of your appliance with the regular household waste. Follow the waste disposal regulations for your locality or return your appliance to the retailer.

Retain the retailer's receipt as proof of purchase. Carmen has a policy of continuous improvement in product quality and design. Carmen therefore reserves the right to change the specifications of its products at any time.
