How to install the RET1000 M thermostat?

The thermostat should be mounted about 1.5 m from the floor, away from drafts, radiators, open fires or direct sunlight. Installation must be carried out exclusively by a qualified electrician or a competent heating engineer in accordance with current IEEE wiring regulations.

What types of power supply does this thermostat accept?

The RET1000 M can be powered either by 230 VAC ±15 %, 50/60 Hz (for mains-powered models) or by 2 AA batteries (2.5-3 VDC) for wireless versions. Consult the manual for the exact model.

How to adjust the heating cycles (CHRONO)?

Use the microswitches located on the back of the thermostat. Select 6 cycles for radiators, 3 cycles for underfloor heating. The 12-cycle setting is also available but not used by default.

What is the difference between ON/OFF and CHRONO?

ON/OFF mode switches the boiler on and off based on a fixed temperature differential around the setpoint. CHRONO (chronoproportional) mode switches the boiler at regular intervals to reach the temperature without overheating, saving energy.

How to limit the temperature setting range?

Use the limitation microswitch to restrict the setting range, for example between 18 and 22 °C. This prevents the user from exceeding certain temperatures.

What is the maximum contact rating?

The contact rating is 3 A (1) at 230 VAC. The switch is SPDT Type 1B. Do not exceed this value to avoid damaging the thermostat.

Is the RET1000 M compatible with underfloor heating?

Yes, by setting the microswitch to 3 cycles in CHRONO mode. For radiators, use 6 cycles. The number of cycles adapts the control to the heating type.

How to clean the thermostat?

Clean the housing with a soft dry cloth. Do not use water, solvents or abrasive products that could damage the device or cause a short circuit.
