What is the output power of the GZHA 5125 X amplifier?

The RMS power varies depending on impedance and channel. For channels 1-4, it is 4 x 100 W at 4 Ω and 4 x 150 W at 2 Ω (1% THD+N). For channel 5, it reaches 1 x 270 W at 4 Ω and 1 x 800 W at 1 Ω. Bridged, channels 1-2 deliver 2 x 300 W at 4 Ω.

How to connect the GZHA 5125 X amplifier?

Connect the power supply: GND to ground, REM to the head unit's remote wire, BATT to permanent +12V. Use power cables of at least 16 mm² and ground cable of 10 mm². Audio inputs are via RCA cables. For speakers, follow the diagrams in the manual. Disconnect the battery before installation.

What to do if the PROTECTION light comes on?

The red PROTECTION light indicates a short circuit, overheating, or overload. Check the speaker connections (minimum impedance of 1 Ω in stereo). Make sure the amplifier is well ventilated. If the problem persists, reduce the volume or check the speaker impedance.

How to adjust the high-pass and low-pass filters?

Use the mode selector (position LPF, FULL, HPF). For a high-pass filter (HPF), choose HPF and adjust the frequency between 40 Hz and 3 kHz for channels 1-4. For a low-pass (LPF), select LPF and set between 30 Hz and 250 Hz. The subsonic filter (channel 5) adjusts from 5 to 50 Hz.

Can I use the amplifier with a head unit that has no RCA output?

Yes, the amplifier has a speaker-level (high-level) input. You can connect the head unit's speaker outputs directly to the corresponding input on the amplifier. Make sure to adjust the input sensitivity correctly (200 mV to 9 V).

How to connect a subwoofer in bridged mode?

For bridging, use channels 1 and 2 (or the appropriate channels). Connect the positive of the subwoofer to the positive terminal of channel 1, and the negative to the negative terminal of channel 2. The minimum impedance in bridged mode is 4 Ω (or 2 Ω depending on the model, check the manual). The resulting power is 2 x 300 W at 4 Ω.

What is the minimum impedance for each channel?

In stereo mode, the minimum impedance is 1 Ω for channels 1-4 and for channel 5. In bridged mode (channels 1-2), the minimum impedance is 2 Ω. Respect these values to avoid protection or damage.

How to install the amplifier in the vehicle?

Choose a location with good air circulation. Use the amplifier as a template to drill 4 mounting holes. Route cables avoiding sharp edges. Mount the amplifier with the provided screws. Leave space for cooling. Do not drill into the fuel tank or brake lines.

What to do if the amplifier does not turn on?

Check the REMOTE wire connection (auto turn-on). Make sure the amplifier fuse (3 x 40 A) is not blown. Check the +12V power supply and ground. The blue light should come on. If the PROTECTION light is on, resolve the short circuit.

How to use the bass remote control?

The amplifier is compatible with a bass remote control (not included). Connect it to the dedicated input. It allows remote adjustment of the low-pass filter level. Activate the function in LPF mode. Turn the knob to increase or decrease the bass.

Please note!

• As a precaution it is advisable to disconnect the vehicle's battery before making connection to the +12 Volts supply wiring (see owner's manual of your car for further information).
• Please use great caution drilling your trunk. Your gas tank and brake lines can be damaged by puncturing with your drill bit - this could cause damage or failure of your cars operating systems.
• Never pass wires over sharp angles. It is recommended to buffer the power supply of the amplifier with an capacitor min. 1 Farad to guarantee a stable operation voltage.

Planning your system

Before beginning the installation, consider the following:

a. If you plan to expand your system by adding other components sometime in the future, ensure adequate space is left, and cooling requirements are met.
b. If your radio i source is equipped with pre-amp outputs, it is possible to utilize them to drive the amplifier and connecting (amplifier) to the 2 rear speakers.

Mounting your amplifier

a. Select a suitable location that is convenient for mounting, is accessible for wiring and has ample room for air circulation and cooling.
b. Use the amplifier as a template to mark the mounting holes, removes the amplifier

Warning

Choose a mounting position where all electroic wires are protected from being damaged by sharp edges, heat or other conditions. +12Volt DC electrical connections must be based on the battery side. Make sure your radio and all other devices will be turned off while connection your system.
If you need to replace the power fuse, replace it only with a fuse identical to that supplied with the system. Using a fuse of different type or rating may result in damage to this system which isn't covered by the warranty.

Turning on the amplifier

The amplifier automatically turns on a few seconds after you turn on your radio.

Note: Your amplifier temporarily shuts down if it gets too hot, then restarts automatically once it cools

(A1 about 80^ / 176^ F1.

Adjusting the audio level

LEVEL(MinMax):Turn fully counttckwase to MIN position
2. Turn the auto sound system's volume control to about two-third of its full range.
3. Adjust LEVEL to a comfortable listening level.

Connecting the speaker for trimode operation - notes

TRI MCOE operation output allows a subwoofer to be operated in mono mode while the main speakers are playing in stereo. Leave this crossover switch on "Full" position.

Use 100 volt, non-polar capacitors for a high pass crossover to filter out low frequencies and Air-core or Fortri- orcells with a minimum diameter of 1mm / 0.030^* for the lowpass crossover to filter out high frequencies.

The capacitor and inductor values as written in the below table. The front and rear channels of this amplifier get the capability. Only the rear left and right channels are shown on the following pictures.
