How to connect the GZUA 4125SQ amplifier?

Make sure to disconnect the vehicle battery before installation. Connect the power cable (min. 20 mm²) to the +12V terminal, the ground cable (min. 20 mm²) directly to the chassis, and the REMOTE wire to the head unit's remote output. Use RCA cables for audio input and speaker cables (min. 2 x 1.5 mm²) for outputs.

What to do if the amplifier does not turn on?

Check for +12V at the +12V terminal, the ground connection, and the fuse. Ensure the REMOTE wire receives 12V from the head unit. If the POWER LED is off, the issue is with the power supply.

What does the red PROTECTION LED mean?

The red PROTECTION LED lights up in case of a speaker short circuit, overheating, or internal fault. Check the speaker impedance (minimum 2 Ω) and ensure they are not short-circuited. If the amplifier overheats, let it cool down.

How to adjust the gain (GAIN)?

Set the GAIN control to MIN. Turn up the head unit volume to about 2/3 of maximum. Then turn the GAIN until you get a pleasant sound level without distortion. The gain should be adjusted between 8V and 250mV depending on the input.

How to connect a subwoofer to this amplifier?

You can use the speaker outputs in stereo or mono mode. For a subwoofer, it is recommended to set the low-pass filter (LPF) to cut high frequencies. Use the RCA MONO OUTPUT to connect an additional mono amplifier if needed.

Why is there no sound on one channel?

Check the RCA cables and speaker cables for that channel. Ensure the RCA jack is not defective and that all connected devices share the same ground point. The problem may also be due to an incorrect filter setting.

How to use the balanced or unbalanced input (BAL/UNBAL)?

By default, the switch is in BAL (balanced) position to reduce noise. If noise persists, switch to UNBAL (unbalanced). If the problem continues, check the wiring or consult a professional installer.

What is the minimum speaker impedance supported?

In stereo mode, the minimum impedance per channel is 2 Ω. Do not go below this to avoid damaging the amplifier. For mono use, the minimum impedance may vary; refer to the specifications in the manual.

How to install the amplifier in the vehicle?

Choose a location with good airflow for cooling. Use the amplifier as a template to drill mounting holes (3 mm drill bit). Secure it with the supplied screws. Make sure not to drill into the fuel tank, brakes, or other important parts.

Where is the fuse located and how to replace it?

The fuse is located on the fuse holder next to the power terminals. Use a fuse of the same amperage (2 x 40 A for this model). Never replace with a different value fuse, as this could cause damage not covered by warranty.

Introduction

Amplifiers provide high-performance sound reinforcement for your mobile audio equipment. It's versatility enables compatibility with optional Equalizer, Frequency Dividing Network Crossovers and other audio processors in a customized system. The Multi-Mode bridging capabilities allow felibility in hosting several differnet speaker configurations.

To achieve optimum performance, it is highly recommend that you read this Owners manual before the Installation.

Attention

• As a precaution; it is advisable to disconnect the vehicle's battery before making connection to the +12 volts supply wiring (see owner's manual of your car for further information)
  Do not drill holes into the tank, the brake pipe, wires or other important parts of the vehicle
• Never pass wires over sharp angles. It is recommended to buffer the power supply of the amplifier with an capacitor min. 1 Farad.

High powered audio systems in a vehicle are capable of generating "Live Concert" high levels of sound pressure, Continued exposure to excessively high volume sound levels may cause hearing loss or damage. Also, operation of a motor vehicle while listening to audio equipment at high volume levels may impair your ability to hear external sound such as; horns, warning signals, or emergency vehicles, thus constituting to a potential traffic hazard. Consumer Electronics recommends listening at lower volume levels while driving.

Planning your System

Before beginning the Installation, consider the following:

a) If you plan to expand your system by adding other components sometime in the future, ensure due equate space is left, and cooling requirements are met.
b) Your radio/insurance is equipped with Pro-Axis output. It is recommended to utilize them to drive the annular

c) Are your components matched? The peak power rating of your speakers must be greater than the Amplifiers. They also must be 2-8 ohms impedance (This information as normally printed on the speaker magnet). Consider both the length of your leads, and routing when choosing the mounting location. Pro-Amp Input jacks require a length of high quality shielded male to male RCA patch cord.

Mounting your amplifier

a) Select a suitable location that is convenient for mounting, accessible for writing and has enough room for air circulation and cooling.
b) Use the amplifier as a template to mark the mounting holes, remove the amplifier and drill 4 holes, use extreme caution, inspect underneath surface before drilling.

Wiring connection

Attention!

mind. 20mm^2 wires are necessary for power connection

1.) Ground: Ground connection should be passed directly to the car body as short as possible (max. 1m)
2. +12 Volt: Power connection should be passed directly to the battery. Please pay attention on a correct fuse protection of the installation with an Infine device with a max. wire length to the battery of 30cm .
3.) Remote turn on: This connection is getting connected with the remote control line of the radio. It is used for tuning on and off the amplifier.

Warning

Investigate the layout of your automobile thoroughly before drilling or cutting any holes. Take care when you work near the thanks, lines, or hydraulic lines, and electrical wiring. Don't mount this system so that wire connections are unprotected or are subject to pinching or damage from nearby objects.

The +12 Volt DC power wire must be fused at the battery positive terminal connection. Before making or breaking power connections at this system power terminals, disconnect the +12 Volt wire at the battery end. Confirm your radio / cassette player and / or other equip, mount it turned off while connecting the input jacks and speaker terminals.

If you need to replace the power fuse, replace it only with a fuse identical to that supplied with the system. Using a fuse of different type or rating may result in damage to this system which isn't covered by the warranty.

All adjustments of the GROUNDOZERO SO-SERIE are located under the upper aluminium cover in the middle. All screws have to be released.

Adujstment and Tuning

The amplifier automatically turns on a few seconds after you turn your vehicle's ignitions switch to ACC or ON or

turn on your auto sound system, depending on how you wired the system.

Your amplifier temporarily shuts down if it gets too hot, then restarts automatically once it cools down.

For the best performance of the amplifier, the Input level sensitivity has to be adjusted correctly (8V-250V)

Adjustment of the GRIN Input Level sensitivity (8V-250mV)

For the best performance, you must set LEVEL(MIN/RWX) on the Top of the amplifier to adjust the level of the audio signals.

1. Use a screwdriver to turn LEVEL(MIN/MAX) fully to MIN
2. Turn the auto sound system's volume control to about two-third of its full range.
3. Adjust LEVEL(MIN/MAX) to a comfortable listening level
   Turn up the auto sound system's volume control until the sound begins to distort. Then immediately turn the volume down to a point just before where the distortion began. Caution: Never up turn the auto sound system's volume control more than needed to adjust the audio level, more than thirds of its maximum volume.
4. 1. Adjust LEVEL(MIN/MAX) until the sound is at the maximum level you want the amplifier two

5. Adjust the auto sound system's volume control to a comfortable listening level.

Attention!

Please note that the gage on a CD that reproduces music with a higher dynamic is essential higher as an Radio reception.

With the bass remote control, you can readjust the Bass gain from the driver's seat. (GZUA 22255Q).
