ECO cooking with 900 watts - meals is prepared within 15-40 minutes.
It's never been as easy, healthy, and energy saving to cook.....
No stove required.
The ingredients are cooked in pressurised steam at a maximum of 800 watts within
a fraction of the normal cooking time, whereby vitamins, mineral salts and trace
elements are retained.
The airtight pressure cooker reduces cooking steam.
With a little practice you will be able to prepare any dish.

-
The cooker may only be operated without the lid for roasting, close the lid again.
-
Do not carry the cooker by the handle while hot.
Workplace:
Important: Never put the cooker on or near a hot surface (e.g. hotplate). The cooker must always be operated on a level, stable, and temperature resistant surface. Ensure that no flammable objects are in the vicinity of the cooker.
Please note that the steam can damage the veneer of overhanging shelves!
Cleaning before initial use:
Remove the accessories and the inner pot, and clean the parts with a mild cleaning agent. Wipe the lid and the housing with a damp cloth. Dry the parts thoroughly.
Usage:
Place the inner container inside the outer pot. Ensure that it is no more than 2/3 full with food, otherwise it may be overcooked. Also ensure that nothing sticks to the hotplate or inner pot, since this would have a negative effect on the control of the cooker. Turn the inner pot briefly to the right or left so that it has good contact with the hotplate. No liquids or food must be placed inside the casing.
Putting on the lid
Before putting on the lid, check if there is any soiling on the top edge of the outer pot. Put on the lid diagonally with the valve pointing to the rear. The lid is engaged by rotating it clockwise. Please then check whether the valve is closed.
Opening the lid

When you have finished cooking, first relieve the pressure using the
valve. For safety reasons, use a wooden spoon to open the valve. Do not put your hands or face over the valve!

Beware of hot steam! When the cooker has depressurised and there is no more steam in the cooker, the lid can be removed by rotating it anticlockwise.
Pressure:
0.7 bar overpressure, produces a high cooking temperature
0.3 bar overpressure, produces a lower cooking temperature,
but above 100^
Amount of water: pour in at least 12 litres, so that steam pressure can build up. Cooking time with closed valve: starts after the steam pressure has been reached.
Opening: always carefully vent the device using the valve until no more steam is escaping, then turn the lid handle anticlockwise as far as it will go.
The device has a fixed program. If you wish to change the steam pressure or the pressure cooking depending on requirements or the type of food, the fixed program can be changed.
Example: Fixed program for soup
Put on the lid and rotate it clockwise as far as it will go. Close the valve.
Plug into the power supply - 8 lines light up on the display.
Press the soup button 0,7 bar appears on the top display; "25 minutes pressure cooking time" flashes in the bottom display.
The start/stop button must be pressed within 30 seconds, otherwise the device will switch back to standby mode. The pressure cooking time starts counting when steam pressure has built up with the valve closed. The display shows 0.7 bar as well as the running cooking time. After the time has expired the device automatically adjusts itself to "warming". The display shows 4 hours as well as the temperature in the pot.
Example: Soup self-programming
The fixed cooking time could too long/too short or the
quality of the food may be too delicate, meaning that only 0.3 bar is required.
Press soup button once, 0.7 bar appears in the display, 30 Min flashes. Select time of 1-35 Min. using the button. Press the Soup button again and change the steam pressure from 0.7 bar to 0.3 bar. Start selected program using the Start/Stop button After the time has elapsed, the appliance sets itself to warming provided that the Start/Stop button has not been pressed.
Meal cooking
The time always depends on the ingredient with the longest cooking time (e.g. meat: 40 min, potatoes or vegetables: 10 min). Brown the meat (e.g. a roulade) using the Brown setting, then infuse with water. Close the lid and the valve and cook using the Meat setting (30 min). When the program has finished, vent and open lid. Put the insert carrier and the perforated insert into the pot and put the vegetables or the potatoes into the insert. Press the Vegetables and Start/Stop buttons. After the timer has elapsed, the device will automatically switch to Heat or the cooking process can be stopped by pressing the Start/Stop button.
The pot should never be more than 75% full of meat, bones, soup vegetables etc. in order to prevent overflowing!
In order to reduce cooking time, use hot water from the tap.

Cooking Suggestions
Beef broth
Pressure cooking time approx. 30 minutes
Add boiling meat (e.g. leg meat), soup vegetables, seasoning (stock cube, peppercorns, bay leaf) to the pot. Fill up to max. 75% with hot water. Put on lid, lock, and close valve. Press the Soup and the Start/Stop buttons.
Chicken broth
Pressure cooking time approx. 30 minutes
Bring 1 12 litres of salted water to the boil using the Brown setting. Add boiling chicken (cut into quarters if necessary because of the size), seasoning and pot herbs to the boiling water. Close lid as described above and close valve. Select the Soup program and press Start/Stop.
Potato soup
Pressure cooking time approx. 10 minutes
Put fat, onions and and bacon into the inner pot and brown using the Brown setting. Infuse peeled and roughly chopped potatoes, pot herbs and seasoning (stock cube, marjoram and possibly some bacon rind) with water. Close lid as described above and close valve. Select Soup program and press Start/Stop.
Farina soup:
Pressure cooking time approx. 10 minutes
Brown the onions and fat in the inner pot using the Brown setting, infuse with hot water and add seasoning (stock cube, pepper, nutmeg). When the soup is boiling, close the cooker and the valve. Press the Soup button and the Start/Stop button.
Since the soup only requires a pressure cooking time of 4-6 minutes, set a kitchen timer to the required time and stop the device manually.
Onion Soup:
Pressure cooking time approx. 10 minutes
Simmer a large quantity of chopped onions and fat until translucent using the Brown setting and dust with flour. Infuse with water and pre-season with seasoning. Close the lid and valve as described above. Press the Soup program and the Start/Stop button. Due to the relatively short pressure cooking time, set a kitchen timer to the required time. The cooking time can also be programmed as described above.
Oxtail Soup:
Pressure cooking time approx. 30 minutes
Brown the pieces of ox tail using the Brown setting. Infuse with water, add pot herbs and seasoning. Close lid and valve. Select the Soup program and press Start/Stop.

Infuse with water and add various seasonal vegetables (e.g. coarsely chopped white cabbage, cauliflower, beans, leeks, carrots etc.), seasoning and tomato purée. Close lid and valve. Select the Soup program and press Start/Stop. Due to the relatively short pressure cooking time, we recommend setting a kitchen timer to the required time. The cooking time can also be programmed as described above.
If you would like to make a pureed soup, a handheld blender with an extra-long shaft is available from Steba. (MX 21 - product number 28.05.00).
Meat
The smaller the pieces of meat, the quicker they will cook, and the meat will still remain moist. The timing is based on 500g of food at room temperature. Otherwise the timing will differ slightly. It is better to undercook than overcook, since the food can always be cooked for a little longer.
- Boiled meat:
