Intended use
This appliance is intended primarily for non-commercial use in closed rooms for mixing and chopping food and for extract the juice from citrus fruits (lemons, oranges, grapefruit) in normal household quantities. Any use other than previously stated is considered as improper use.

Safety instructions
Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsibly for their safety or have received instructions on the use of the appliance from such a person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appli- ance.
Store the appliance and accessory parts out of the reach of children.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
Only allow repairs to the appliance ■ to be carried out by an authorised specialist or by the works customer service; this particularly applies to replacing a damaged connecting cable. Unqualified repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. They will also invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Repairs to the appliance during the guarantee period may only be carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer, otherwise the warranty/guarantee will become invalid in the event of damage or subsequent damage.
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts. Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety requirements are met.
Only use spare parts from the manufacturer or spare parts that are specifically recommended by the manufacturer. The warranty/guarantee will otherwise be invalidated.
Do not use this appliance together with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
DANGER
Danger from electric current!
Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged.
Never open the housing of the appliance. Danger from electric current if live connections are touched and/or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket, when changing the attachments;
- if you are not using the appliance,
- if a malfunction occurs during operation,
– before you clean the appliance.
Danger of suffocation!
▶Never play with packaging material. Risk of suffocation.

WARNING
Frozen food such as frozen fruit must be defrosted before they are chopped otherwise the container could be damaged.
Do not operate the appliance without the corresponding lid.
Danger from sharp blades!
Remove the blade lid of the chopper knives carefully.
Do not touch the blades. Always hold the chopping blade by the plastic shaft.
Remove the blade before emptying the jug.
Always push food in with the pusher. Never use your fingers.
Danger from moving parts!
Always disconnect the mains plug ▶ before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or storing the appliance.
Never put your fingers or other objects into the feed shaft.
CAUTION
Always switch off the appliance before removing the upper parts.
Only operate the appliance when the upper part is locked and the lid or pusher is in place.
Do not pull the connecting cable ▶ to remove the plug from the mains socket.
Remove the stones and seeds from fruit before blending.
Never operate the appliance when ▶ the jug is empty.
CAUTION
Always use the stopper for inserting ingredients into the filling chute, never use any other objects.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the surfaces.
When using for prolonged periods ▶ of time, allow the appliance to cool down occasionally to avoid overheating.
The jugs are not suitable for ovens or microwave ovens.
Never lift or move the appliance with the mains cable.
Requirements for the place of use
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the installation location must satisfy the following requirements:
■ Place the appliance on a firm, dry, flat, waterproof and heat-resistant surface.
■ Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid environment.
■ The mains socket must be easily accessible and allow fast disconnection in the event of an emergency.
■ The surface finishes on furniture may contain substances that can be detrimental to the suction feet of the appliance. If necessary, place a mat under the suction feet of the appliance.
Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions must be observed for the electrical connection:
Before connecting the appliance, ■ compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. This data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.
The mains socket must be protected by at least a 10 A automatic circuit breaker.
Ensure that the mains cable is undamaged and is not laid over hot surfaces or sharp edges.
The mains cable must not pulled ■ tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.
Route the cable to prevent risk of trip- ■ ping.
The electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Startup
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory parts including those in the accessories compartment on the back of the appliance, and the user manual from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.
NOTE
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the appliance. If possible, keep the original packaging throughout the warranty period so that the appliance can be duly packed in case of a warranty claim. Transport damage will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Check the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.
Report incomplete or damaged contents to your supplier immediately.
Before using for the first time
Clean the appliance and the accessories as described in the section Cleaning and care.

Safety switches
The appliance is equipped with a safety switch and can only be operated if the corresponding attachment has been correctly fitted and locked onto the motor unit.
WARNING
Before using each time, check the function of the safety switch. Switch on the appliance with attached jug for this purpose. If the motor turns, the safety switch is defective and the appliance may not be used.
Operation and use
Switching the appliance on/off
The appliance is turned on and off via the rotary switch (2).
◆ Set the rotary switch (2) to level 1 or 2 for continuous operation.
For impulse operation, turn the rotary switch (2) to level P. The appliance runs at maximum speed as long as the rotary switched is pressed.
Mixing
(see images A1 - A6)
Place the sealing ring (14) around the base of the chopping unit (13). Make sure that the sealing ring is lying flat all the way round.
Insert the blade unit (13) with the fitted sealing ring (14) into the blender jug (15) from below. The noses of the base fit into the recesses at the bottom of the blender jug.
Turn the blade unit (13) with the lid lock (17) anticlockwise to tighten.
Place the blender jug (15) onto the motor unit (1) with the handle to the right and turn the blender jug clockwise until it audibly snaps in.
NOTE
Make sure that the blender jug (15) is seated properly, otherwise the appliance cannot be operated (safety switch).
Put liquid/fruit into the blender (15). ◆
NOTE
Pour liquids into the blender first and then the solids.
Do not put solid parts (metal, wood, bones) into the blender jug.
Cut through larger parts so that the blade unit (13) can seize them.
Pay attention to the maximum filling quantity in the blender jug (15).
Place the lid of the blender (16) onto the blender jug (15) and lock it by turning it clockwise.
Place the lid lock (17) onto the lid of the blender (16) and lock it by turning it clockwise until it snaps in.
NOTE
Pay attention to proper seating of the lid (16) and the lid lock (17) to prevent squirting out of the appliance.
◆insert the plug into the mains socket and move the rotary switch (2) to impulse or continuous operation.
CAUTION
Observe the maximum operating time of 2 minutes.
Allow the appliance to cool down for 1 minute.
Refilling:
Switch off the appliance.
Remove the lid lock(17) and fill the ◆ blender (15).
Close the lid (16) again with the lid ◆ lock (17).
NOTE
Pay attention to the maximum filling quantity in the blender jug (15).
Chopping
(see images B1 - B5)
Place the jug (3) onto the motor unit (1) with the handle to the right and turn the blender jug clockwise until it audibly snaps in.
Put the chopping blades (7) onto the spindle attachment (4) and press the chopping blade downwards to that the spindle attachment snaps in.

WARNING
Danger from sharp blades!
Do not touch the blades. Always hold the chopping blade by the plastic shaft.
Put the spindle attachment (4) with fitted chopping blade (7) onto the drive spindle of the jug (3).
Put the food to be chopped into the jug (3).
NOTE
Pay attention to the maximum filling quantity in the blender jug (3). Only fill liquid up to the "Max. Liquid" marking.
Put the jug lid (8) onto the jug (3) and lock it by turning it clockwise.
Insert the pusher (9) into the filling ◆ shaft of the jug lid (8).
NOTE
Make sure that the jug (3) and ▶ the jug lid (8) are seated properly, otherwise the appliance cannot be operated (safety switch).
Make sure that the pusher (9) is ▶ inserted into the jug lid (8) during operation to prevent squirting out of the appliance.
Insert the plug into the mains socket and move the rotary switch (2) to impulse or continuous operation.
CAUTION
Observe the maximum operating time of 2 minutes.
Allow the appliance to cool down for 1 minute.
Refilling:
Switch off the appliance. ◆
◆ut the jug lid (8) onto the jug (3) again and lock it by turning it clockwise.
NOTE
Pay attention to the maximum filling quantity in the blender jug (3).
Before emptying the jug, remove the spindle attachment (4) with the chopping blade (7).
Cutting/rasping (see image C1)
Place the jug (3) onto the motor unit (1) with the handle to the right and turn the blender jug clockwise until it audibly snaps in.
If the chopping blade (7) is fitted, remove it from the spindle attachment (4) by pressing in the latches.

WARNING
Danger from sharp blades!
Do not touch the blades. Always hold the chopping blade by the plastic shaft.
Put the spindle attachment (4) without chopping blade (7) onto the drive spindle of the jug (3).
Remove the grating disc (5) or the cutting/rasping disc (6) from the accessories compartment (18) on the back of the appliance.
Put the grating disc (5) or the cutting/ rasping disc (6) onto the spindle at- tachment (4), in the case of the latter, with the rasper or blade edge pointing upwards.
Put the jug lid (8) onto the jug (3) and lock it by turning it clockwise.
NOTE
Make sure that the jug (3) and the jug lid (8) are seated properly, otherwise the appliance cannot be operated (safety switch).
Fill the food to be rasped or cut into the filling shaft of the jug lid (8).
Insert the plug into the mains socket and move the rotary switch (2) to impulse or continuous operation.
Push the food downwards with the pusher (9) until the filling shaft is empty.



CAUTION
Observe the maximum operating time of 2 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool down for 1 minute.
Refilling:
Switch off the appliance.
Take out the pusher (9) and fill the shaft of the jug lid (8) with more food.
NOTE
Pay attention to the maximum filling quantity in the blender jug (3).
Before emptying the jug, remove the grating disc (5) or the cutting/rasping disc (6) and the spindle attachment (4).
Juice extraction
Place the jug (3) onto the motor unit (1) with the handle to the right and turn the blender jug clockwise until it audibly snaps in.
If the chopping blade (7) is fitted, remove it from the spindle attachment (4) by pressing in the latches.

WARNING
Danger from sharp blades!
Do not touch the blades. Always hold the chopping blade by the plastic shaft.
If the grating disc (5) or the cutting/ rasping disc (6) is fitted, remove it from the spindle attachment (4).
◆ Put the spindle attachment (4) onto the drive spindle of the jug (3).
Insert the drive attachment (11) into the collecting bowl (10) and lock it by turning it clockwise.
Put the collecting bowl (10) onto the jug (3) and lock it by turning it clockwise.
NOTE
Make sure that the jug (3) and the collecting bowl (10) are seated properly, otherwise the appliance cannot be operated (safety switch).
Place the grater attachment (12) onto the drive attachment (11).
Insert the plug into the mains socket and move the rotary switch (1) to impulse or continuous operation level 1.
To extract juice, push the halved fruit onto the grater attachment (12).
CAUTION
Observe the maximum operating time of 2 minutes.
Allow the appliance to cool down for 1 minute.
NOTE
Pay attention to the maximum filling quantity in the blender jug (3).
In the case of larger quantities, ▶ empty the collecting bowl periodically to prevent overflowing.
After using
Switch off the appliance and pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Rinse the jug and the accessories used with water.
Clean the appliance and the accessories used as described in the section Cleaning and care.







Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period of time, clean it as described in the section Cleaning and care.
Store the appliance and all accessory parts at a dry, clean and frost-free location, which is protected against direct sunlight.
Accessories compartment (see images D1 - D2)
Store the grating disc (5) and the cutting/rasping disc (6) in the accessories compartment (18) on the back of the appliance.
Cable compartment (see images E1 - E2)
If the connecting cable is too long, it can be stowed in the cable compartment on the back of the appliance.
Stowing the cable:
Press the cable not needed into the inside of the appliance through the round opening of the cable outlet.
Fixing the cable:
Pull the cable into the narrow recess of the cable outlet to fix the cable.
Cleaning and care
Before beginning work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the section on safety!
Cleaning the appliance
Wipe the motor unit (1) with a slightly damp cloth.

All other parts can be cleaned in a warm washing-up liquid solution or in the dish washer.
Dry all parts of the appliance thoroughly after cleaning.
NOTE
Dried and caked food residues can be removed more easily if you allow them to soak in warm washing-up liquid solution for 10 minutes before cleaning.
Immediately after processing very salty ingredients, rinse the chopping blades.
After processing strongly coloured ingredients, the plastic parts of the appliance can become discoloured. Rub these parts with cooking oil before cleaning them.
Troubleshooting
The following table helps in localising and remedying minor faults:
