How to turn on the flashlight?

Press the trigger: once to turn on the LED 3W, a second time to turn it off, a third time to turn on the 18 LED, a fourth time to turn everything off.

What is the battery life?

The lead-acid battery of 4 V / 2.8 Ah provides up to 3.5 hours with the 3W LED and up to 9 hours with the 18 LEDs.

How to recharge the flashlight?

Turn off the flashlight. Plug the AC charger (110 V AC) or the cigarette lighter adapter (12 V DC) into the Jack socket. The LED indicator lights up. The full charging time is approximately 9 hours. Do not charge for more than 30 hours.

Can I use the flashlight while charging?

No, do not turn on the flashlight while charging. This could damage the device and void the warranty.

Is the flashlight waterproof?

No, it is not waterproof. Do not use it underwater. Store it in a dry and clean place.

How to maintain the battery during prolonged storage?

Recharge the battery every 1 to 2 months to prevent deterioration. Do not let the battery fully discharge.

Can I replace the battery?

The battery is internal and not user-replaceable. For any issues, contact customer service.

What to do if the flashlight no longer turns on?

What is the warranty?

How to get a return for a defective product?

Thank you for purchasing the Brite-Nite 3W Sport by Wagan Tech. With normal care and proper treatment it will provide years of reliable use. It is important to read and understand all operating instructions before use.

WARNING

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use it near flammable liquids, gasses, or in high temperature—the battery may explode.
• When the light gets dim, please stop using it and charge immediately.

• This unit is durable and built to last; however do not drop it as this may damage the unit.
• Do not throw used battery into garbage can. Please recycle the battery at your local recycling center or household recycling center in your community.

OPERATION

1. Push the power trigger once to turn on the 3W LED spotlight; push it again to turn it off.
2. Push the power trigger a third time to turn on the 18 LED area lantern; push it again to turn it off
3. The unit will not turn off automatically. When the light becomes dim, please turn off the light and charge immediately to avoid battery damage.

RECHARGING THE UNIT

IMPORTANT

DO NOT turn on the light while charging. Doing so may damage the unit and will not be covered under the warranty. As with all sealed lead-acid batteries, when storing, be sure to recharge the battery fully every 1-2 months to prolong the life of the battery.
DO NOT leave the unit plugged in after it is fully charged. Charging the unit past the recommended maximum time will damage the internal battery and will void the warranty.

AC CHARGING

Make sure the unit is turned off before charging.

1. Insert the AC charging plug into the charging jack on the bottom of the handle of the spotlight.
2. Plug the transformer end of the AC adapter into a 110V AC outlet.
3. The LED indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the spotlight is charging.
4. The LED indicator light will go out when fully charged (about 9 hours).

DC CHARGING

Make sure the unit is turned off before charging.

1. Insert the DC charging plug into the charging jack located on the bottom of the handle of the spotlight.
2. Plug the other end into the 12V cigarette socket of your vehicle.
3. The LED indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the spotlight is charging.
4. The LED indicator light will go out when fully charged (about 9 hours)

MAINTENANCE

Store and operate in a clean and dry environment. It is advisable to recharge the spotlight after using, otherwise the battery life will be shortened. As with all sealed lead-acid batteries, when storing, be sure to recharge the battery fully every 1-2 months to prolong the life of the battery. DO NOT leave the spotlight plugged in after the charging time or you will damage the internal battery. The lifespan of the internal battery depends on how it is treated.

BATTERY

The battery is not intended to be removed from the spotlight by the user.

LED LIGHTS

The Brite-Nite 3W Sport uses bright LEDs that do not need changing. Do not attempt to alter or change the LEDs.

A Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) is REQUIRED when sending in any defective item. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any item(s) returned without an official Returned Merchandise Authorization number. The item(s) must be returned with prepaid shipping. WAGAN Corporation is not responsible for any shipping charges incurred in returning the item(s) back to the company for repair or replacement.
