USER MANUAL Natural juice 1000 73917 TERMOZETA

The present manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of installation, use and maintenance. Keep it with care.

• After taking off the packing make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA.
• Do not leave pieces of packing (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities since these are potential sources of danger.
• Before connecting the plug to the outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
• Use of adaptors, multiple outlets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of necessity use exclusively approved devices in conformity with the current safety regulations while making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
• Any installation which doesn't comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires.
• The appliance must be used only for extracting juice from fruit and vegetables for domestic use.

• For safety reasons pay attention and:

• do not use the appliance when you are barefoot or having wet hands or feet

• do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment
• do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc.)
• never pull the feeding cable or the appliance itself in order to disconnect the plug from the outlet
• do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the main power supply

• never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids

• The feeding cable of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre

authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.

• In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.
• The appliance is not intended for being used by people (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental capacities are reduced, or who are lacking in experience or knowledge, unless they can benefit from the presence of someone who is responsible for their safety and who is provided with the instructions for use.
• At the end of the life-cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the feeding cable after disconnecting the plug from the outlet. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.
• TERMOZETA cannot be considered responsible for any damage to persons, animals or things caused by the incorrect installation or as a result of an illegitimate, mistaken or unreasonable use.

FIRSTUSE

Thoroughly wash and dry all the parts which will be in contact with food: the pusher (1), the opening in the lid/lid (2/3), the filter (4), the collector (5), the juice collector (12).

DISASSEMBLY

WARNING!

These operations must be carried out when the appliance is off and unplugged from the outlet.

• Extract the pusher (1) from the opening (2) in lid (3).
• Make the two locking handles (9) slide towards the front part of the appliance as shown in the picture and according to what is indicated on the appliance itself.

• Lift the lid (3) by grasping its opening (2).
• Extract the filter (4) by pulling it towards yourself and then remove the collector (5).
• At this point it is possible to remove also the juice collector (12) easily.

ASSEMBLY

To assemble the appliance, carry out the operations described in the previous paragraph in the reverse order.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Lay the appliance on a stable and flat surface.
• Unwind the feeding cable completely and make sure that all the components are correctly assembled on the motor unit, that the lid (3) is correctly placed and that the two locking handles (9) are closed.

At this point, connect the plug to the power outlet.

• Never leave the feeding cable dangling from the base plane where the appliance is positioned.

WARNING!

The appliance is provided with a double safety system preventing operation if the two locking handles (9) are positioned incorrectly, since they ensure the correct closure of the lid (3).

• Start the juice extraction by rotating the selector (11) to the position: “1” (low speed) for softer and more juicy fruits/vegetables such as melons, peaches, grapes, etc.; “2” (high speed) for harder and less juicy fruits/vegetables such as carrots, apples, etc.
• Insert the fruits or the vegetables (see paragraph "SUGGESTIONS FOR USE") in the opening (2) of the lid (3), only after starting the appliance. Fruits and vegetables can be continuously added during operation. Push the fruits or the vegetables towards the filter (4) by using the pusher (1) only.

Never insert utensils, other objects or yours hands in the opening to push the food in the lid opening.

• If it is necessary to remove some fruits or vegetables which have become entangled during use, switch the juicer off and wait for the filter to stop before beginning to disassemble the appliance.

Never open the lid while the appliance is running or while the filter is still moving after switching the juicer off.

Never use the juicer for over 2 consecutive minutes.

• After finishing to use it, set the selector (11) to position "0" and disconnect the plug from the power outlet.

• Extract the juice collector (12) in order to empty it, by unlocking the locking handles (9) and removing the lid (4) as shown in the paragraph "DISASSEMBLY".

• Empty the peel/pulp collector after each use so as to avoid that residues may ferment inside it.

WARNING!

The filter is an easily breakable item. Avoid any handling which could damage it.

Immediately replace the filter if it is damaged or worn. Contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for an original spare filter.

Never use the juicer if the filter is worn, broken, cracked or deformed because it has fallen.

Anyway, we recommend replacing the filter every two years of use.

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE

Wash and prepare the fruit or the vegetables:

• peel oranges, lemons, mandarins, mangos, kiwis, melons, pineapples, carrots...
• core apples, pears...
• seed or stone fruits such as peaches, apricots, cherries, prunes...
• remove the white skin from citrus fruits, otherwise the juice will be bitter.

If necessary, cut fruits and vegetables into pieces so that they can be inserted in the lid opening (2).

If the appliance begins to vibrate and produce less juice, switch it off and clean the filter (4).

Always supervise the juice collector (12) in order to prevent the juice from coming out.

Notes:

• It is impossible to extract juice from certain fruits and vegetables such as bananas, avocados, aubergines, figs...
• Natural juices should be drinken soon after their preparation, otherwise their taste, colour and nutritive substances can alter.
• We suggest adding some lemon drops in order to preserve the juices for some hours.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!

Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before carrying out any cleaning operations.

We recommend cleaning the juicer after every use in order to avoid moulds and bad smells because of the fermentation of food residues.

To disassemble the juicer, proceed as shown in section "FIRST USE". Wash the pusher (1), the opening in the lid/lid (2/3), the filter (4), the collector (5), the peel/pulp collector (6) and the juice collector (12) in tepid water with a washing-up detergent.

To clean the filter, use a nylon brush.

Do not wash the components in the dishwasher.

To clean the appliance body (7) use a soft slightly damp cloth only.

Never submerge the appliance body (7) in water.

Make sure that the safety device couplings are not clogged with dust or residues of fruit or vegetable. If necessary, clean these areas using a dry soft brush.

Before assembling the components again, wait for them to be completely dried.

Never submerge the juicer in water or other liquids.

Do not wash the juicer under running water.

Do not use chemical or abrasive products.

In accordance with European Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal.

• The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
• Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
• The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
• Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws in force.
