How to reverse the door opening direction?

It is recommended to entrust the door reversal to the after-sales service. If you do it yourself, first unplug the appliance, place a cushioning material under the back, then carefully lay the appliance on its back. Follow the order of numbers shown in figure 1. Door reversal must be done with the power off.

What are the minimum clearances from a heat source?

For an electric or gas cooker, the minimum clearance is 3 cm. For an oil or coal heater, the minimum clearance is 30 cm. If installation next to a heat source is unavoidable, use a suitable insulating panel.

How to install the appliance side by side with a refrigerator?

Place the refrigerator on the left of the freezer. The refrigerator slightly heats its right side wall, which prevents condensation between the appliances. Use the supplied spacers: glue them to the four corners, each 5 cm from the side edges, after degreasing the surfaces with stain remover or alcohol.

How to mount the wall spacers?

The wall spacers are mounted to achieve the stated energy consumption. If the clearance to the wall is lower, operation is not restricted but energy consumption may differ. Follow figure 5 in the manual.

How to adjust the appliance to be level?

Place the appliance in the intended location, then adjust the front screw feet using a spanner. Use a spirit level to check that the appliance is perfectly vertical on a level floor.

Where to place the appliance?

Choose a dry and ventilated area, sheltered from direct sunlight and away from heat sources (cooker, radiator, etc.). The floor must be stable and level. If necessary, reinforce it and compensate for unevenness with packings under the appliance.

How to change the door handle?

If necessary, change the door handle following the order of numbers shown in figure 2 A/B. No specific tool is mentioned, but proceed with care.

What to do if the floor is uneven?

Compensate for unevenness using the two front screw feet of the appliance. Use a spanner to adjust them and check the level with a spirit level. If necessary, place packings under the appliance.

Can I use a joining kit for side-by-side installation?

Yes, you can obtain a joining kit from your retailer. It allows you to securely connect the two appliances side by side.

Should I entrust door reversal to a professional?

The manual recommends entrusting the door reversal to the after-sales service for safety reasons. Contact the after-sales service for the price of this service.

Installation location

A dry, well ventilated room is suitable as an installation location. The installation location should not be exposed to direct sunlight and not placed near a heat source, e.g. a cooker, radiator, etc. If installation next to a heat source is unavoidable, use a suitable insulating plate or observe the following minimum distances from the heat source:

3 cm to electric or gas cookers.
30 cm to an oil or coal-fired cooker.

The floor of the installation location must not give way; if required, reinforce floor. If the floor is uneven, compensate with supports.

When installing the appliance, ensure that the door can be opened by 90^ .

When installing two appliances, ensure that the refrigerator is on the left and the freezer is on the right.

The right side panel of the refrigerator is heated slightly. This prevents condensation from forming between the appliances.

1. On the right side of the refrigerator, degrease the adhesive areas with petroleum ether or spirit.
2. Stick spacers in all four corners at a distance of 5cm from the side edges to ensure a minimum gap between the appliances.

Changing over the door hinges

We recommend that you have the door hinges changed over by our customer service. You can find out the costs for changing over the door hinges from your appropriate customer service.

Warning

While changing over the door hinges, ensure that the appliance is not connected to the power supply. Pull out the mains plug beforehand. To prevent damaging the back of the appliance, place adequate padding underneath. Carefully place the appliance on its back.

If available:

Fit wall spacers to obtain the indicated energy absorption of the appliance. A reduced wall gap will not restrict the function of the appliance. The energy absorption may then change slightly.

Aligning the appliance

Place the appliance in the designated location and align. The appliance must be level. If the floor is uneven, use the front height-adjustable feet. Adjust the height-adjustable feet with a wrench.

Note

The appliance must be upright. Please align it with a spirit level.
