Assembly

VALBERG VAL-MIST95 - Assembly - 1

WARNING!

Before assembling or disassembling the unit, always disconnect the unit from the mains supply to avoid the risk of injury.

Tool required: Cross-head screwdriver.

  1. Insert the pole (K) and integrated cable into the body unit by aligning the fastening hole with the fastening knob (L), then tighten the knob.
  2. ② To attach the casters (P), push the casters into the 4 holes on the underside of the base (O).
  3. Carefully lay the main unit on its side on a raised surface. Align the base (O) with the bottom of the main unit, and secure the base with the 3 bolts and washers (M5*20) (Q) provided, turning the bolts clockwise.
  4. Remove the blade cap (F) and grille nut (H) from the motor shaft by turning them clockwise and anti-clockwise respectively.
  5. Align the rear grill (I) with the front of the motor unit (J) and secure it with the grille nut (H) by turning the nut clockwise.
  6. Insert the blades (G) into the motor shaft by aligning the 2 slots in the center with the 2 pins on the shaft, then push the blades in.
  7. Tighten the blade cap (F) onto the motor shaft by turning it anti-clockwise.
  8. Connect the corrugated hose (A) to the misting cap (B) by twisting and pushing it in.
  9. Place the misting cap (B) on the front of the front grille (C) by aligning the 3 screw holes, and secure it with the 3 screws (ST3*7.5) (D) by turning them clockwise.
  10. Align the front grille and retaining ring (C + E) assembly with the back grille (I) and push until the back grille snaps into the groove of the retaining ring on all sides. Lightly tighten the screw on the retaining ring if needed. Make sure the grilles are securely locked.
  11. Connect the other end of the corrugated hose (A) to the mist outlet (R).

Filling the water tank

Fill the water tank to use the mist function:

  1. Press the On/Off button (7) to turn off the unit.
  2. Remove the water tank (M) from the back of the main unit.
  3. Open the cap by turning anti-clockwise, fill the water tank with fresh room temperature tap water, and close the cap tightly.
  4. Insert the water tank into the compartment at an angle, inserting the bottom of the tank first, then push the top in until the tank clicks into place. Make sure the water tank is properly inserted to avoid leaks.
  5. Wait 1 to 2 minutes to allow the water to fill the mist chamber.

NOTE: Turn off the unit and refill the water tank when the Mist indicator light (22) flashes 10 times and turns off. This indicates that water tank is empty or the water level is too low.

Installing the remote control battery

  1. Slide out the battery cover on the remote control.
  2. Insert the new batteries [AAA/R03 x 2, not included] following the "+" and "-" ends indicated inside the battery compartment.
  3. Dispose of used batteries safely.
  4. Close the cover.

Use

The fan can be controlled using the control panel or the remote control.

  1. Place the unit on a dry, level and stable surface.
  2. Make sure the unit is properly assembled.
  3. Fill the water tank if required.
  4. Plug the power cable into a suitable mains socket. The power indicator light (1) will turn on to indicate the unit is connected to the power supply.
  5. Press the On/Off button (7) to turn the fan on or off. The fan starts running at Low speed (default) and the display shows the room temperature.
  6. Press the Speed +/- button (11/10) to set the desired speed (Low/Medium/High).

  7. Press the Mode button (6) to select the desired wind mode:

  8. Normal Mode (19) - The fan operates at the selected speed.

  9. Natural Mode (20) - The fan simulates natural breezes by alternating the speed in random patterns, with the selected speed set as the highest speed.
  10. Sleep Mode (21) - The fan speed decreases every 30 minutes until reaching Low speed.

1 The Mist function is available in any mode and can be used when the fan is turned off.
2 After turning off Al Mode, the fan will exit to Normal Mode at Low speed.

B Product usage

  1. Press the Mist button (8) to turn on or off the mist (humidification) function. The mist indicator light (22) will turn on when the function is activated. This function can be used on hot and dry days to help humidify and cool the room environment.
  2. Press the Ion button (5) to turn on or off the ion function to release negative ions into the air.
  3. Press the Timer button (9) to set an Auto-off timer (1h / 2h / 4h / 8h) . Observe the indicator light of the timer setting selected (12). To cancel a timer, press the Timer button repeatedly until cycling out the timer options.
  4. Press the AI button (4) to turn AI Mode on or off. When the mode is activated, the fan will automatically select a suitable speed level according to the current room temperature.
  5. Turn off the fan after each use. Unplug the fan from the mains socket before leaving it unattended, or if it is not going to be used for a long period of time.

WARNING! To avoid the risk of injury, electric shock or fire:

  • Always turn off and unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning, assembling, or disassembling the unit.
  • Never immerse the unit, power cable or plug in water or any liquid. Do not rinse the unit under the tap.

  • Never use solvents (gasoline, benzene, thinner, etc.), chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp objects or scouring pads to clean the unit.

  • Keep the grilles and air vents on the back of the motor unit free from dust or and dirt.
  • Remove the water tank, empty the tank and rinse out thoroughly. Allow the interior of the tank to air dry completely before closing the cap if the unit will be stored for a prolonged period.
  • Remove the drain plug with spring clamp (N) to empty any remaining water inside the unit. Close the drain plug with spring clamp.
  • Clean the motor unit, main body, water tank compartment, and base unit with a soft cloth slightly moistened with water or soapy water. Dry completely with a soft, dry cloth. Do not allow water or any liquid to enter the motor unit or main unit during cleaning.
  • For a quick cleaning, you can use a vacuum cleaner to clean the grilles and air vents.
  • For a thorough cleaning:

  • Remove the grilles and fan blades for cleaning by reversing the steps in the "Assembly" section.

  • Clean the grilles and fan blades in soapy water with a soft sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reassembling them into the unit.

Storage

  • Always unplug the unit before storing it.
  • Store the unit in a fresh, dry and dust-free place, out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Please retain the packaging and use it to store your unit when it is not in use for an extended period of time.
  • To disassemble the unit for storage, reverse the steps in the "Assembly" section.
