How to remove the motor shaft from the VAL-MIST95 if it is stuck or jammed?
Frequently Asked Questions - 07/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

According to the VAL-MIST95 manual, here’s how to proceed to remove the motor shaft:

Removal Steps:

  • Blade Cap (F): turn it counterclockwise
  • Grid Nut (H): turn it counterclockwise
  • Once these elements are removed, you can access the motor shaft

If the shaft is stuck:

If you encounter strong resistance, do not force it. First, ensure that the device is unplugged from the power outlet.

The shaft may be stuck due to limescale or mineral deposits. You can:

  • Soak the metal parts in white vinegar for 30 minutes to dissolve the limescale
  • Use a small wrench or suitable tool to grip the nut better and turn it gradually
  • Make gentle back-and-forth movements instead of applying force all at once

After cleaning, you can reverse the assembly steps described in the manual to reassemble the device.

What does the drain plug of the VAL-MIST95 look like and how do I tighten it?
Frequently Asked Questions - 07/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

Appearance and location

The drain plug of the VAL-MIST95 is identified by reference N in your manual. It is a drain plug with a spring clip, located under the water tank of the device.

How to tighten it

After closing the drain plug, ensure that it is well tightened to avoid water leaks. Here’s how to do it:

  • Locate the plug under the tank
  • Close it after draining by turning it gently until you feel slight resistance
  • Make sure it is tight to prevent leaks during operation

What is it for?

This plug allows you to drain the residual water remaining in the device during regular cleaning of the tank or before long-term storage of your misting fan.

Respond (be the first)
Why does the water tank leak as soon as I click to install it?
Frequently Asked Questions - 07/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If the tank leaks during installation, it is usually due to improper placement. Here’s how to fix the issue:

Essential Checks

  • Tank Installation - Make sure the 1-liter tank is properly engaged: tilt it slightly, insert the bottom first, then push upwards until you hear a clear click. The click confirms that the tank is securely locked.
  • Tank Lid - Check that the top lid of the tank is properly closed by turning it clockwise until you feel slight resistance.
  • Drain Plug (N) - Ensure that the drain plug located under the tank is tightly secured. This is often the source of side leaks or dripping.
  • Wait Before Using - Once the tank is installed, wait 1 to 2 minutes before activating the misting. The system needs to fill and stabilize.

If the leak persists after these checks, it is likely an internal sealing defect (seal or misting system). In this case, the tank or the device may require replacement or repair from VALBERG customer service.

Respond (be the first)

  • Fill it completely with fresh tap water
  • Reinstall the tank until you hear a locking click

Frequently Asked Questions - 06/27/2026
Response Notice-Facile

No, the VALBERG VAL-MIST95 does not allow for temperature adjustment or control. The device simply displays the ambient temperature of the room on its LCD screen, for informational purposes only.

  • The ionization (button 5) to purify the air
  • The oscillation (button 3) for side sweeping

How to reduce the noise of the VAL-MIST95 while watching television?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/26/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The acoustic noise of the VAL-MIST95 is 62.88 dB(A), which can indeed cover the sound of the TV in Normal mode. Good news: the device has several solutions to significantly reduce the noise.

Solution 1: use Sleep mode

This is the most effective solution. In Sleep mode, the speed gradually decreases every 30 minutes, making the device much quieter than in Normal mode. Perfect for watching TV.

Solution 2: manually reduce the speed

The device has 3 speed levels (low, medium, high). Set it to low speed using the Speed +/- buttons on the remote control or the device. This significantly reduces the noise.

Solution 3: combine settings

Use the Natural mode (which simulates a breeze with random variations, less constant than Normal mode) at low speed. You can also program an automatic shut-off via the timer (1h/2h/4h/8h) if you do not want the device to run continuously during your program.

In summary: first try Sleep mode at low speed - it's the best noise/effectiveness compromise for watching TV.
