Product usage Installation CAUTION! Make sure the unit is turned off and unplugged from the mains socket before installing or changing any parts. Selecting a suitable Location for the unit + The appliance must be installed, used, and stored in a room with a floor area greater than 13 m°. + Place the unit on a stable, level surface. + Ensure there is at least 50 cm of space around the entire unit to allow for good ventilation and prevent the cold air outlet/air intake covers from being blocked by household items, such as curtains, furniture and walls. + Position the unit near a window or door, and close to a mains socket. Installing the exhaust system Ô Attach the Exhaust pipe connector to one end of the Exhaust pipe, and then turning the Exhaust pipe connector clockwise until it fits tightly in place. Similarly, attach the Window connector to the other end of the Exhaust pipe, and then turning the Window connector clockwise until it fits tightly in place. [2] Assemble the Bolts, washers and wing nuts but do not tighten the wing nuts yet. Open the window and extend the Adjustable window frame to the desirable length to be fitted to your window. Connect the Exhaust pipe [the end with the Window connector] to the Adjustable window frame and press firmly until it is securely in place. Place the frame horizontally for sash windows or vertically for horizontal sliding windows. Close the window and then secure the Adjustable window frame by tightening the wing nut. Use duct tape to secure the Adjustable window frame and cover all gaps around the Adjustable window frame or Window connector, to ensure maximum efficiency. Attach the other end of the assembled Exhaust pipe to the back of the unit by aligning the grooves on the Exhaust pipe connector with the slots on the Exhaust outlet. Then, slide the Exhaust pipe connector downwards to slot it in. Qi: the length of the Exhaust pipe, and avoid bending the pipe. Position the unit in the desired location and near a mains socket. The Exhaust pipe measures 30 to 150 cm long.
Product usage NOTE: [@) Take care not to overstretch, crush or sharply bend the Exhaust pipe, as this may result in damage and/or a malfunction. Make sure there is a gap of at least 50 cm between the unit and any other objects. Insufficient ventilation can lead to overheating 5 . Installing the drain hose (dehumidifying] When using the unit as a dehumidifier or if you run the unit continuously, the Drain hose must be installed. Ô 1... Remove the Dehumidifier drain outlet plug.
2. Attach the Drain hose to the drain outlet.
3. Place the other end of the Drain hose into a bucket, water outlet pipe or drain. Make
sure the hose is inclined at an angle of at least 20 degrees towards the floor. NOTE: [ To avoid blockages, airlocks and potential flooding, do not bend or crush the hose. Make sure that the end of the hose will not become submerged in water or blocked in any way, Install remote control batteries C7] 1. Slide open the remote control cover in the direction of the arrow.
2. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries [to be purchased separately] into the battery compartment.
Make sure you follow the polarity (+ and -] as shown.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover. Make sure it clicks firmly back into place.
4. The remote control is now ready to use.
CAUTION! Remove the batteries if you will not be using the remote control for a Long period oftime. Operation WARNING! Before switching on the unit, make sure it has been kept in an upright position for at least 24 hours. Switch on the unit
1. Connect the power plug to a mains socket. The unit will beep and the current temperature
2. Open the Air outlet cover and adjust its position. Then, press © to switch on the unit.
3. The Fan mode (default mode] will begin in low speed. The fan # and low speed Y indicators
light up. Switch off the unit
1. Press © to switch off the unit.
2. Unplug the unit from the mains socket to completely power it off.
NOTE: [@) If you switch off the unit but do not unplug it, the unit will remember the last used settings (except for the timer settings] when it is switched on again. If you unplug the unit, the unit will reset and restore to the default settings. Select a mode Main unit
1. Press € on the main unit to select Cool, Dry, Fan or Heat mode [the corresponding
indicator will light up]: Indicator Mode Description Le Cool + Cools the air in the room to the set temperature {Air conditioner) (16°C to 32°C). NOTE: The unit automatically stops cooling when the room reaches the set temperature. Under this mode, you can: Set temperature > see Temperature section. Set fan speed > see Speed section. Set swing > see Swing section. Set timer > see Timer section. Set sleep mode > see Sleep section. IMPORTANT: The Exhaust pipe must be connected to the main unit for expelling the hot air outside (see Install the exhaust system section). Removes moisture from the air. The fan speed is set to low . Under this mode, you can: Set swing > see Swing section. Set timer > see Timer section. NOTE: You cannot set the fan speed, temperature or sleep mode. IMPORTANT:
1. When Ft displays on the screen, you need to empty
the water in the main unit (see Manually drain the unit section).
2. The Drain hose must be connected to the units
Drain outlet (see Install the drain hose section).
Product usage 4 Fan * Circulates the air without cooling or heating it. + Under this mode, you can: Set fan speed > see Speed section. Set swing > see Swing section. Set timer > see Timer section. NOTE: No drain hose or exhaust pipe is required. 2 Heat Heats the air in the room to the set temperature (16°C to 32°C]. NOTE: The unit automatically stops heating when the room reaches the set temperature. Under this mode, you can: Set temperature > see Temperature section. Set fan speed > see Speed section. Set swing > see Swing section. Set timer > see Timer section. Set sleep mode > see Sleep section. IMPORTANT: The Drain hose must be connected to the unit's Drain outlet (see Install the drain hose section). Remote control + Pressth or [&] button on the remote control to select [the corresponding icon will be displayed on the remote control]: Icon Mode # Cool & Dry Fan JÉ Heat Temperature (Cool mode or Heat mode only) + Repeatedly press @/© on the main unit or &/= on the remote control to adjust the temperature displayed on the screen (from 16°C to 32°C). After the target temperature is set, it will be displayed on the screen. + When in Cool mode, if the room temperature is Lower than the set temperature, the cooling function wilL stop but the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes before turning off. + When in Heat mode, if the room temperature is higher than the set temperature, the heating function will stop. If the unit detects that internal temperature is higher than 34°C, the fan will continue to run. + The unit will turn the cooling or heating function on and off to maintain the set temperature.

2. Press @/© to set the number of hours after which you would like the unit to turn off. The
number of hours will flash on the display until it is set. After a few seconds, the display shows the current room temperature. [@) NOTE: The Timer indicator remains on while the timer is running Remote control

NOTE: The TIME OFF timer icon and the set time (e.g. 2.0h) will be displayed on the remote control. To set ON time [when powered off): Main unit
1. When the unit is powered off, press ©.
2. Press @/O to set the number of hours after which you would Like the unit to turn on. The
number of hours stops flashing and remains steady on the display whenit is set.
Product usage NOTE: + The Timer indicator remains on while the timer is running. + lfyou set the timer while in Cool mode or Heat mode, you can also press 1° to change the desired temperature when the unit is turned on by the timer. The temperature will flash on the display until it is set. The screen then displays the timer countdown in hours. Remote control

Sleep (Cool mode or Heat mode only) When in Sleep mode, the unit increases or decreases the temperature to rise or lower gradually to accommodate the drop or rise in body temperature that occurs when you fall asleep. Frost protection The unit is featured with frost protection. lt will prevent frost from building up on or around the cooling or heating components when operating at Low room temperatures. While operating in Cool or Dry mode: + The unit will detect the internal temperature. If the temperature is -1°C or below for 3 minutes continuously, it will automatically stop the compressor and run the fan at high speed. During this time, the power indicator will flash. Once the internal temperature has risen to 7°C or above, and the compressor has stopped for at least 3 minutes, the power indicator Light stops flashing and the fan will turn off. Then, the unit will restart the compressor. While operating in Heat mode: + The unit will detect the internal temperature. If the temperature is below 40°C, and the difference between the internal temperature and the room temperature is below 19°C for more than 20 minutes, the unit will start defrosting for 5 minutes. During this time, the power indicator will flash. Once the internal temperature has risen to 40°C or above, the power indicator Light will stop flashing and the unit will restart. Overload protection Ifthe unit is turned off due to power cut or overheating, there will be a 3-minute delay before the unit can be restarted. lfthe plug is removed, all programmed timer settings will be lost and the unit wilL start in the default mode. The overload protection may not work ifthe temperature goes above the optimal working temperature of 35°C. NOTE: © If any windows or doors are Left open while the unit is in Cool or Dry mode, and the relative humidity is above 80%, condensation may drip from the cold air outlet. Remote control To use the unit with the remote control, point the remote control to the front of the unit. Make sure you use the remote control within 5 metres of the unit (with no obstacles in between). If the remote control is not working, move it closer to the unit or change the batteries.
Product usage NOTE: Other infrared sensors can interfere with the remote controls performance Move such devices away from the remote control. When you use the remote control to change the settings, the remote control screen will display the corresponding icons. If you change the settings from the main units control panel, the changes will not show on the remote control screen
Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning and maintenance WARNING! + Before cleaning, always turn off and unplug the unit from the mains supply. + When cleaning the unit, never use flammable or abrasive products (such as benzene or white spirit), metal brushes, scouring pads, wire wool or sharp utensils. + Never immerse the unit, cable or power plug in water. + Regularly clean your appliance and keep it dust free to optimise its performance, reduce the need for repairs and ensure product longevity. + Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Make sure that no liquid enters the unit. Clean the air inlet/outlet/filter Clean the Air outlet cover and Air inlet filter and cover every 2 weeks in dusty environments or after approximately 100 hours of use to prevent the airflow from becoming restricted, and consequently, damaging the unit.
Turn off the unit and unplug the unit from power supply. Detach the Air inlet cover from the back of the unit, and then remove the filter from the cover. Remove any dust from the filter using a vacuum cleaner. Wipe the Air inlet cover and Air outlet cover with a soft, damp cloth. Rinse the filter under running water on the opposite side to the air flow's direction. Use a mild detergent to remove any stubborn dirt. Allow the filter to air-dried completely before attaching it back to the unit. CAUTION! Do not operate the unit without the filter attached, or the evaporator may be contaminated. Manual drainage Q
Cleaning and maintenance Condensation may collect in the unit, especially in humid environments or areas in which the day and night temperatures vary considerably. When the drain pan is full, the unit will automatically turn off and Ft shows on the display. 1.Carefully position the unit over a drain or place a container under the drain plug to collect the water. Remove the Drain outlet plug and attach the Drain hose. Let the water run out and, if necessary, tilt the unit backwards to remove the last few drops of water. 2.0nce the drain pan has been emptied, close the Drain outlet with the plug firmly. 3.Restart the unit. NOTE: + When the Air inlet cover is removed, be careful not to touch the components inside the unit, as you could damage them or injure yourself. + Never operate the unit without the Air inlet cover and filter in place. This could damage the unit's evaporator and other internal components. Safety measures to be taken in the event of a refrigerant Leak WARNING! Refrigerant gas is extremely flammable. Please always bear in mind that refrigerant gas is odourless. Follow all the safety precautions to avoid the risk of fire, personal injury or death. If a Leak is suspected because: ° The unit's housing is damaged; - There is a weak airflow or hot air is being released from the unit in Cool mode; or + You hear a faint hissing sound from the unit. You must immediately:
Cleaning and maintena Unplug the unit from power supply; Open windows; Evacuate the area; and Call the fire service. Troubleshooting Symptom The unit is not working property. Possible cause + The power source has been incorrectly connected. The fuse has blown. There is too much water in the unit and the unit has switched off. The ambient temperature is outside the operating range. Solution + Firmly insert the power plug into the mains socket. Replace the 2A / 3.15 À, 250 VAC fuse [to be performed by qualified technician only). Drain the unit by removing the drain plug (see Manual drainage section). Make sure the unit is placed in a location with temperature ranging from 5 to 35°C. The unit works with reduced capacity.
The air inlet filter/cover are dirty. The exhaust pipe or drain hose is clogged. Doors and windows have been left open. The incorrect mode is being used. The exhaust pipe has detached.
Clean the air inlet filters/cover (see Clean the air inlet/outlet/ filter section). Remove any blockages. Keep doors and windows closed. Change the mode. If Cool mode is being selected, set the temperature below the current ambient room temperature. Make sure the exhaust pipe is securely attached (see Install the exhaust system section]. There is a water Leak. Water has spilled out of the unit. Drain the unit. The unit is making too much noise.
The unit has been placed on an uneven surface. + Some parts are Loose and vibrating. + Gurgling noises can be heard. Place the unit on a horizontal and stable floor. Secure and tighten the parts. This is normal. The noise comes from the refrigerant.

Storage If you are not planning on using the unit for an extended period of time [more than a few weeks), we recommend that you clean the unit and let it dry thoroughly. Then, store the unit as follows: 1.Unplug the unit from mains socket and remove the Exhaust pipe and Adjustable window frame. 2.Drain allthe water from the unit. Remove the Drain hose from the unit. 3.Remove and clean the Air inlet filter. Let it dry thoroughly in a dust-free place for a few days before re-attaching it to the unit. This will also allow the evaporator to dry. When the water has been drained, the unit can also be run in fan mode for approximately half a day at Low speed to thoroughly dry the interior of the unit. Then, re-attach the Air inlet filter and cover to the unit and close the Drain outlet plug.

5.Remove the batteries from the remote control. 6.Store the unit and its accessories in a dry, dust-free, well ventilated environment away from direct sunlight. WARNING! The unit's evaporator must be dried before putting the unit away, in order to prevent mould from forming or damaging the internal parts.
