NOTICES TO THE USER Keep this user guide with your appliance. If you sell or pass on this appliance to another person, make sure you give the new owner this guide. Please take heed of this advice before installing and using your appliance. These instructions are intended to protect your safety and the safety of others.
a) Safety instructions
This appliance is solely intended for domestic use for cooking and reheating food. It may only be used in a roofed, enclosed and heated environment such as a kitchen or any other room fulfilling these conditions.
Before use, place the appliance on a flat, dry and heat- resistant surface such as a kitchen worktop. Leave at least 10 centimetres of space around the appliance for correct air circulation.
Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children under 8.
The appliance is not designed to be switched on using an external timer or a separate remote control system.
Never pull on the power cord; unplug the appliance by taking hold of the plug itself.
If this appliance is covered or in contact with flammable material, including curtains, wall hangings and similar items, there is a risk of fire during operation.
Children must not play with the appliance.
D This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities only after they have been correctly informed in the use of the appliance so that they are aware of the hazards involved.
The accessible parts of the appliance may become hot during operation.
Young children must be kept away from the oven unless they are supervised at all times.
Do not touch the hot surfaces in this appliance during use. Do not place any element on the appliance during use.
Do not cover any part of the oven with aluminium foil. This may result in a malfunction and is a fire hazard.
Do not let the power cord come into contact with hot surfaces.
Do not place any of the following materials inside the oven: cardboard, plastic, paper or similarly heat-sensitive materials.
Be careful not to insert utensils or food items that are too big. Utensils and food items must not come into contact with the heating elements.
This appliance is intended solely for the purpose of cooking or reheating foods. Uses including drying foods, serviettes, reheating damp serviettes or any other similar use may cause a fire hazard or result in injury.
Handling accessories supporting the weight of a dish is dangerous. In order to prevent the accessories (wire racks or trays) from tilting forwards and to prevent injury,
systematically remove the dish from the oven and always use the tray handle when inserting or removing accessories.
The use of accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in hazards or injuries.
Appliance cleaning and care must not be carried out by children under 8 or by unsupervised children.
Disconnect the appliance when not in use or before cleaning. Wait for the appliance to cool down before placing objects in the oven or removing objects from the oven, and before cleaning.
In order to protect against risks of electric shock, do not submerge any part of the oven in water or any other liquid.
Do not clean the appliance using an abrasive sponge or metal scouring pads.
The power cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, dispose of your appliance.

This appliance is equipped with a tempered glass door that does not crack; instead it shatters into tiny pieces that do not have sharp edges. Avoid scratching the glass or deforming the door frame. If the door shows signs of scratches or impacts, please contact the customer service department before using the oven.
The light bulb must be exclusively used to light the oven. It must not be used in lights designed to illuminate rooms.

2) INSTALLING YOUR APPLIANCE
a) Installing your appliance safely
If the oven is placed too close to a wall, the wall may become burned or discoloured. Ensure that any curtains, etc. are not in contact with the oven.
Do not put anything between the base of the oven and the surface on which it is installed. Any object placed under the oven could become burned. Do not put anything on the top of the oven when in use as the heat could deform, crack or otherwise damage the item.
Do not heat food items directly in bottles or tins as the recipient could break and the contents could scald the user.
Always use the handle when inserting or removing the tray. Touching the tray could result in severe burns.
Never pour water into the oven when the oven is hot, as this may cause the glass to break.
When unplugging the appliance, always take hold of the plug itself. Never pull on the cord. This could break the wires inside the cord.
When in use, never position the appliance near a gas burner, any other significant heat source or near an electric fan etc. Doing this could affect the temperature control.
Do not spray the power cord and do not handle the appliance with wet hands. Always unplug the cord after use and whenever the appliance is left unattended. À malfunction while the plug is inserted into the mains could cause a fire.
When cooking fat-spitting dishes such as roast chicken, we recommend using 2 sheets of aluminium foil to reduce projections. Place one sheet on the tray and the other over the chicken. The oil will therefore drip between the two sheets.
VAN Ensure that your appliance has not suffered any damage during transport (deformed door or seal, etc.). If you notice any kind of damage whatsoever, please contact your dealer before using the appliance.
b) Electrical connections
The oven must be connected to a suitable power socket. Insert the plug fully into the socket. If not properly connected, it could overheat. Do not use an electric light socket. Never connect multiple plugs to the same power socket.
c) Description of your appliance

a) Before using your appliance for the first time
e Take the appliance out of its packaging and check that no parts or accessories are missing or damaged.
e Check that all packaging elements (plastic, cardboard, polystyrene) have been removed from inside the appliance.
e Clean all parts according to the instructions provided under the chapter "caring for and cleaning your appliance".
e Carefully dry and assemble all parts; the appliance is now ready for use. Heat the oven with nothing inside it: e Insert the tray and wire rack.
e Set the cooking function switch to = and set the temperature control knob to "240°C", then heat the empty oven for about 10 minutes.
e After allowing the oven to cool, unplug the power cord and clean all spare parts again. Note:
The oven may produce a smoky or burning smell when first used. This is perfectly normal.
b) Setting the temperature
Set the "temperature control knob" to the suitable temperature for the dish you are cooking by turning it in the clockwise direction (temperature range from 70°C to 240°C).
c) Setting the cooking time
Set the timer to the suitable cooking time (in minutes) for the dish you are cooking by turning it in the clockwise direction.
You can check that the heating elements are working properly by looking at the front indicator light. The oven will turn off automatically at the end of the selected cooking time and a beep will be emitted.
The oven can be turned off manually during cooking by turning the timer in the anti-clockwise direction to the "O" position.
Note: If the inside of the oven is dirty, cooking may take slightly longer than usual.

You can adjust the height of the tray on the 3 different tiers to suit the dish you are cooking. For example, when cooking a pasta, potato or vegetable bake, to have the top part cooked the most, use the third tier. To roast a chicken, use the first or second tier.
4) CARING FOR AND CLEANING YOUR APPLIANCE
a) Cleaning instructions
Always unplug and allow the oven to cool completely before cleaning or moving it. Clean the grill pan, wire rack, tray handle and baking tray after each use. Clean the interior of the electric oven and all removable parts with a mild non-abrasive detergent and a plastic scouring pad after each use. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not scrub the oven's interior surfaces too hard as this could cause scratches to appear. Clean the exterior of the glass oven door using a glass cleaner or mild detergent and a damp cloth or plastic scouring pad. Do not use abrasive detergents or pads as they may scratch the oven window. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. Allow to dry before closing the glass door.
b) Storage instructions
Unplug the oven, allow it to cool and clean it before storage. Store the electric oven in its original box in a cool, dry place. Never store the appliance while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance. Do not pull on the cord where it joins the appliance as this could cause the cord to fray and break.
