Frequently Asked Questions - THIC47923 THOMSON

How to use the THIC47923 ice cream maker?
Before first use, place the refrigerating bowl in the freezer at -18°C for at least 12 hours. Prepare the ice cream mixture and refrigerate it for 2 to 4 hours. Assemble the appliance: bowl, paddle, cover. Plug in, set the timer (20-40 min) and press Start/Pause. Pour the mixture through the chute while the paddle is turning. Once the time is up, unplug and remove the ice cream.
How long does the bowl need to be frozen?
The refrigerating bowl must be placed in the freezer at a temperature below -18°C for at least 12 hours. Shake it before use: if no liquid moves, the liquid is completely frozen.
Can I add ingredients during operation?
Yes, you can open the cover and add ingredients (e.g., fruits) through the chute while the paddle is turning. Close quickly to avoid heat.
What to do if the paddle does not turn?
Check that the bowl is properly inserted into the base, that the paddle is correctly engaged in the gear of the control housing and that the cover is properly closed. Also ensure that the mixture is not too thick or frozen before starting. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to clean the appliance?
Unplug the appliance. Remove the paddle from the cover. Wash the bowl, paddle and cover with warm soapy water, rinse and dry. The control housing and base should only be wiped with a dry cloth. Never immerse the base in water.
What is the maximum capacity of the bowl?
The suggested quantity is 400 to 500 ml of mixture. Do not exceed this amount to avoid overflow and ensure efficient mixing.
Can I make sugar-free sorbets?
Yes, you can adapt recipes with sweeteners or naturally sweet fruits. However, sugar helps with texture and preservation. Consult online recipes or experiment.
Does the appliance make noise?
The 12 W motor produces a slight operating noise, which is normal. If an abnormal noise (grinding, clicking) occurs, stop the appliance and check the assembly of the paddle and bowl.
What to do if the power cord is damaged?
Do not replace the cord yourself. It must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person to avoid any danger. Contact your retailer or customer service.
