Do not connect or disconnect the power cable. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar power cable available from the supplier or the supplier's after-sales department.

Use this device only according to the instructions given in this manual. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and those with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the risks involved. Children must not play with the appliance. It must not be cleaned or handled by children without supervision. Do not use accessories that are not recommended by LANAFORM or that are not supplied with this device. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar one available from the supplier or its after-sales department. Do not use this device if the power plug is damaged, if the device is not working properly, has been dropped on the floor or if it is damaged or has been dropped into water. In this event, have the device examined and repaired by the supplier or its after-sales department. Do not carry this device by its power cable or use the cable as a handle.

Do not use drawing pins or any other metal fastenings with this device. Always unplug the device after use or before cleaning it. If it falls into water, unplug it immediately before retrieving it. Electrical appliances should never be left unattended when connected. Unplug it when not in use. Keep the power cable away from hot surfaces. Do not use this product before going to sleep. Massage acts as a stimulant that may delay the onset of sleep. Never drop anything or insert any object into any of the openings. Never use this device in a room in which aerosols (sprays) are used or in a room in which oxygen is administered. Do not use this device under a cover or under a cushion. Excessive heat can cause fire, electrocution or injury. To disconnect the device from the mains, make sure that the "On/Off" button has been deactivated before unplugging it. If you are concerned about your health, consult a doctor before using this device.

Do not use the device:

• If there are any pathological changes or lesions affecting your back (e.g. herniated disc, open wound);
• During pregnancy;
• When sleeping;
• In a vehicle;
• For animals;
• During activities in which an unforeseen reaction could be hazardous;
• After taking any substances which limit sensory perceptions (e.g. pain-re-lief medication, alcohol).

If you experience any pain when using this device, stop using it immediately and consult your doctor. Do not use this device for more than 15 minutes at a time (risk of overheating) or allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before re-using. Never use this device on a body part that is swollen or inflamed or if you have a skin rash. Seek medical advice before using this massage device:

- If you suffer from a serious illness or if you have undergone surgery on your upper body;

• If you have been fitted with a pacemaker, implants or any other ancillary device, have thrombosis, diabetes;
• For any pain of an unknown cause.

This product is a non-professional massage device designed to relax tired muscles. Do not use this device as a substitute for medical treatment. It is intended only for home use and non-professional use.

Presentation

Thank you for choosing LANAFORM's Shiatsu Massager. The Shiatsu Massager is a massage seat cover with 4 gel rotating massage heads which simulate Shiatsu massage perfectly.

The massaging effect is particularly effective in relieving contracted muscles and toning tired tissues. The device brings you beneficial relaxation that will make you forget daily stress. Massages complete both your wellness, sport and fitness programme. The gel massage heads ensure a gentler, more natural massage than conventional heads.

Installing the Shi- atsu Massager

01 Place the cushion upright on a suitable seat with a base and back. Make sure the seat is set up so that it is fully in contact with its base and at the appropriate height for the back.
02 Use the fastening straps to attach the shiatsu cushion.
03 Plug the device into the mains.

Massage function

01 Ensure that you are sitting comfortably on the seat, with your back straight. Make sure you are sitting in the middle, so that the massage heads can move along both sides of your spine.
02 Switch on the massage device by pressing key [1]. Select the area to be massaged using the A+B/A/B buttons [5/6/7].
03 The LED indicators display the massage area selected.
04 You can activate the massage head heating function and the lumbar area by pressing the heat button [8].
05 The Shiatsu massage unit with its rotating massage heads slowly moves up from its starting position on the lower back and moves up and down the selected massage area.
06 When selecting the massage area, the automatic off function is activated and set to 15 minutes. The automatic off function can be set to 5, 10 or 15 minutes by pressing the timer button [2].
07 NB: the counter is reset after changing the timer setting. To prevent the device from overheating, select the maximum massage duration

from the outset and do not change this setting during the massage.

08 Use the massage device for no more than 15 minutes, then allow it to cool down. You can stop the massage at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button. When the massage heads are switched off, make sure they first return to their initial position in the lower back area. An LED indicator then starts to flash. Once it has returned to this position, the device switches off.
09 Do not unplug the device from the mains while in operation. Always switch off the device and wait a few moments for it to go back to its starting position.

Vibration function

Select the vibration key [3] in succession for a vibrating leg massage. This function with 3 levels of intensity can be activated separately from the shiatsu massage.

Heating setting

The Shiatsu Massager seat cover has a heating function in the 4 massage heads. To activate this function, first press on the massage area you want [5/6/7], followed by the heat button [8].

Demo function

Press on the Demo key [4] to show the functions of the Shiatsu Massager seat cover.

Maintenance

Unplug the cushion from the mains and wait a few minutes before cleaning.

Clean it using a soft, slightly damp sponge.

Never let water or any other liquid come into contact with the cushion.

Do not immerse in liquid to clean it.

Never use abrasive detergents, brushes or a solvent to clean it.

Wait until the device is completely dry before re-using.

Storage

Put the Shiatsu Massager in its box and store in a dry place.

Avoid contact with sharp edges and other pointed objects, which might cut or pierce the fabric surface.

To prevent the power cable breaking at any point, do not wind it around the cushion.

Do not hang the cushion up by the manual control lead or power cable.

Problem	Cause	Solution
The massage heads are rotating slowly.	The massage heads are under excessive strain.	Reduce massage pressure.
The massage heads are only rotating in the upper or lower back.	The massage has only been activated for a certain area.	Press on the A+B/A/B keys to change/extend the area.
The massage heads are not moving.	The device is not plugged in.	Plug in the device and switch on.
	The device is not switched on.	Switch on the massage device by pressing on the key. Select the area to be massaged.
	The overheating protection system is activated; the device is damaged.	Contact the retailer or a customer service point.

Advice on waste disposal

The packaging consists entirely of environmentally-friendly materials that can be taken to your local waste sorting centre to be used as secondary materials. Cardboard can be placed in a paper collection container. Packing film must be taken to your local sorting and recycling centre.

When you are no longer using the device, dispose of it in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with the statutory requirements.

Limited warranty

LANAFORM guarantees that this product will be free from any material and workmanship defects for a period of two years from the date it was purchased, other than as specified below.

The LANAFORM warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear on this

product. In addition, the warranty on this LANAFORM product does not cover damage caused as a result of any abusive, inappropriate or incorrect use, accident, attachment of any unauthorised accessory, modification of the product or any other situation of whatever kind, beyond the control of LANAFORM.

LANAFORM shall not be held liable for any type of incidental, consequential or special damage.

Any implied warranties of the product's fitness for purpose are limited to a period of two years from the original purchase date on presentation of a copy of the proof of purchase.

Upon receipt, LANAFORM will repair or replace your device, as appropriate, and return it to you. The warranty may only be used at the LANAFORM Service Centre. Any maintenance and repair work carried out on this product by any person other than the LANAFORM Service Centre will invalidate this warranty.
