PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY WARNINGS AND THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- The outer surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
- The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below combustible material such as curtains.

they could jam the popup mechanism and cause a fire.
- Be sure to clean the crumb tray often for an accumulation of crumbs could eventually cause a fire hazard.
- Do not place the appliance in or near hot gas or electric burner, or permit to touch a heated oven or mini oven.
- Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food, refer to the section "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" on page 55 of the manual.

Caution, hot surface. The surfaces are liable to get hot use.
SAFETY INFORMATION
- Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the toaster.
- Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or any part of the toaster in water or other liquid.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Place the appliance on a stable flat surface before use.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket when filling or emptying the toaster, before cleaning and when it is not in use.
- When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for circulation.
- Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.
- The appliance is for household use only. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the appliance, as this may cause fire or electrical shock.
- Do not operate the appliance under or near curtains or other flammable materials or under wall cabinets, as the bread may burn which constitutes a fire hazard.
- Do not use the toaster without the crumb tray in place.
- To avoid possibility of fire, do not leave the toaster unattended during use.
- If a slice of bread gets stuck inside the appliance, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before removing the bread.
- Immediately press the cancel button and unplug the appliance if fire or smoke is observed.
- Do not use metallic objects such as knives to dislodge food as these could make the metallic objects hot or cause an electric shock.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food when the appliance is in operation.

inserted in the toaster as they may cause fire or electric shock.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting so as to avoid injuries.
WARNING ! When toasting small bread slices less than 85mm length, you must pay attention to the potential risk of burning when taking out the slices.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Removable crumb tray


BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging materials and wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
Before using the appliance for the first time, it is recommended to let the appliance complete a few toasting cycles without slices of bread on the highest browning setting in a properly ventilated room.

USING YOUR TOASTER

Insert bread slice into the bread slot (1 piece of bread per slot).
-
Only use regular sized bread slices. Never attempt to force oversized bread into the slots.
NOTE: Make sure the crumb tray is correctly positioned in place before use. -
Plug in the toaster.
-
Set the browning control knob to your desired setting.
-
There are 7 browning levels: the lowest "1" is for light and the highest "7" is for dark. The bread slice can be toasted to golden colour in the middle position "4".
NOTE:
- The toasting colour for one slice is darker than that for two bread slices at the same level.
-
If toasting continuously, the toasting colour for the latter bread is darker than that for the former bread at the same level.

Press carriage handle down vertically until it is latched in place.
-
The indicator light on the Cancel button will illuminate and the appliance will begin toasting.
NOTE : The carriage handle can only be latched when the appliance is connected to mains power. -
Once the bread has been toasted to the preset color, the carriage handle will automatically pop up, and you can remove the toast.
NOTE : During toasting, you may observe the toasting color. If it is satisfactory, you can press the Cancel button ⑦ to cancel the operation at any time, but never lift the carriage handle to cancel the toasting.
Defrosting function
If you want to toast frozen bread, set the browning control knob to your desired setting, and then press the carriage handle down vertically until it is latched in place. Then press the Defrost button and the indicator light on the Defrost button will illuminate. In this mode, the bread will be toasted to your desired colour.

Reheating function
If you want to reheat cold toasted bread, press the carriage handle vertically until it is latched in place. Then press the Reheat button and the indicator light on the Reheat button will illuminate. In this mode, toasting time is fixed. The carriage handle will automatically spring up when the reheating process is completed.
CAUTION
- Remove all protective wrappings prior toasting.
If toaster starts to smoke, Press Cancel button to stop toasting immediately. - Avoid toasting the food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.
- Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the mains socket first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
- In order to achieve uniform color we recommend that you should wait for minimum 30s between each toasting so that color control can reset automatically.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the mains socket and let it cool down completely.
Wipe the outside with soft dry cloth.
Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents.
Never immerse the appliance, cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
Surfaces in contact with food should be cleaned regularly to avoid cross contamination from different types of food, the use of a dry cloth is advisable when dealing with surfaces that come into contact with food.
Correct food hygiene practices should always be followed at all times to avoid possibility of food poisoning /cross contamination.
After each use, pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of toaster and empty it. Make sure the crumb tray is correctly fitted before using the toaster again.
To remove any pieces of bread remaining in the toaster, turn the toaster upside down and gently shake.
When not in use or before storing, the power cord may be wound under the bottom of the toaster.
