What is the maximum capacity of the PROLINE KTEMP kettle?

The maximum capacity is 1.5 litres. It is recommended not to exceed this level to avoid any risk of hot water splashes.

How to set a temperature other than 100 °C?

Press the temperature setting button to choose between 40 °C, 60 °C, 80 °C or 100 °C. The set temperature flashes, then stays on when the water reaches the set point.

Is the keep warm function automatic?

No, you must activate it by pressing the Keep Warm button. It turns off automatically after 30 minutes.

How to clean the kettle filter?

Remove the filter located in the lid, rinse it under running water, then put it back. Regular cleaning prevents limescale buildup.

Can I open the lid while the water is boiling?

No, it is dangerous to open the lid during boiling because very hot steam can escape and cause burns. Wait for the appliance to stop.

What to do if the kettle stops heating?

Check that the base is properly plugged in and the switch is ON. If the problem persists, contact customer service. Do not attempt to repair yourself.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

× Place the appliance on a stable flat surface before use.

× Be careful when opening the lid immediately after the water has boiled, the steam coming out of the kettle is very hot constituting a risk of scalding.

× Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water. Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum level indication. Do not operate the kettle if water is below the minimum level.

Do not fill the kettle when positioned on base. Dry the water on the bottom of the body before placing it onto the base.

OPERATION

Before first use, fill the kettle with water up to the maximum level and let the water boil once, pour out the hot water and rinse the kettle once more.

Boiling Water

1. Remove the kettle from the base.
2. Fill the kettle with desired amount of water through the spout or the open lid.

Press the lid release button to open lid.

The water amount ranges from the minimum amount 0.5L to the maximum amount 1.5L.

1. Close the lid until a click is heard and place the kettle on the base.
2. Insert the plug into the mains socket.

3. Press the ON/OFF button. The water is being heated.

4. The power indicator light will illuminate.

5. The factory set temperature (100^) indicator light will flash.

6. You can set the temperature to 40^ C, 60^ C or 80^ C by pressing the temperature setting button.

7. The set temperature can be changed while the water is being heated.

8. While the water is being heated, the current temperature will light up and the set temperature indicator light will flash.

9. When the water has reached the set temperature, the kettle will switch off automatically and the temperature indicator light will stay on and then all indicator

lights will go out.

• You can turn off the kettle at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button.

NOTE: Use the kettle only when the lid is closed and the filter is in place.

Keep Warm Function

You can activate the keep warm function with any temperature setting.

Press the keep warm button and the keep warm indicator light will illuminate.

To deactivate the function, press the button again.

NOTE: The keep warm function will switch off automatically after 30 minutes. All indicator lights will go out.

CLEANING AND DESCALING

Always unplug the appliance from the mains socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning.

Do not use chemical, steel wool or abrasive cleaner to clean the appliance.

Clean the outside of the kettle and the power base using a damp cloth.

Remove the filter on the lid. Clean it under running water and then replace it.

Dscaling the kettle

1. Fill the kettle with water up to 1.5L level and add a small amount of white vinegar and leave the solution overnight.
2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Wipe off the deposits with damp cloth.
3. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and then discard the water. Repeat before using again.
4. Repeat the procedure if there is still some scale in the kettle.
