Frequently Asked Questions - EFB90463OX ELECTROLUX

What is the minimum installation distance between the cooktop and the hood?
For electric cooktops, the minimum distance is 50 cm. For gas or mixed cooktops, it is 65 cm. Strictly adhere to these distances for safe operation.
How to clean the grease filters of the hood?
The grease filters should be cleaned once a month. They can be washed by hand with a mild detergent or in the dishwasher at low temperature and short cycle. Slight discoloration may occur without affecting efficiency.
When and how to change the activated charcoal filter?
The activated charcoal filter is not washable and must be replaced at most every 4 months, or more frequently depending on use. To replace it, contact authorized service or purchase a genuine Electrolux part.
How to reset the filter saturation indicator?
Turn the hood on, then press button 1 (ON/OFF/speed decrease) for about 3 seconds. If both indicators 'F' and 'C' flash, repeat the operation twice.
What to do if the hood stops on its own or displays a flashing 't'?
This means the temperature alarm has been triggered: the display area is too hot. The hood then switches to speed 3. When the temperature drops, the alarm stops. You can also press button 2 to exit this mode.
How to enable or disable the charcoal filter saturation indicator?
Turn off the hood, then simultaneously press buttons 2 and 3 for 3 seconds. To enable, letters 'F' and 'C' flash; to disable, only letter 'F' flashes.
What type of bulb to use for the hood lighting?
The hood is equipped with integrated LED lighting. In case of failure, contact authorized after-sales service for replacement. Do not attempt to replace the LEDs yourself.
How to use the Hob2Hood function?
This function allows wireless connection with a compatible cooktop. The hood automatically adjusts its speed based on cooking. Refer to the cooktop manual to activate the function. After a power cut, wait 1 minute for reconnection.
What do the letters 'F' and 'C' on the hood display mean?
'F' indicates that the grease filter needs cleaning. 'C' indicates that the charcoal filter needs replacement. These indicators flash to remind you of periodic maintenance.
What to do if the hood does not turn on or does not work?
First check that the hood is properly plugged in and that the main circuit breaker has not tripped. Make sure the grille is properly mounted. If the problem persists, contact Electrolux after-sales service with the model and serial number.
