How to attach the beater to the handle?
Unplug the appliance, push the beater to the end of the handle, then rotate it clockwise until it clicks into place.
What is the maximum continuous use time?
The beater should not be used for more than 30 seconds continuously, the whisk for more than 5 minutes, and the chopper for more than 30 seconds. Let the motor cool for 2 minutes between uses.
Can I blend hot liquids?
Yes, but first remove the pot from the heat and let it cool slightly. Never immerse the blender in boiling or warm oil, as this can cause serious burns.
How to clean the blender?
Unplug the appliance. Clean the blade end of the beater with a nylon brush in soapy water. Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. The whisk, chopper and container are dishwasher safe or can be hand washed. The whisk support and container cover must be cleaned with a damp cloth and not immersed.
Can I use the blender to chop raw meat or ice?
No, the manual advises against crushing ice or chopping raw meat with this appliance. Use it only for soft ingredients (fruits, vegetables, herbs, hard cheese).
How to use the chopper?
Place the chopper on the container shaft, add ingredients without exceeding 500 ml, put the lid with the transmission, attach the handle, then use short pulses. Unplug before removing the lid.
Why does the blender stop during use?
This is likely due to motor overheating. Let the appliance cool for at least 2 minutes before using it again. If the problem persists, check that you have not exceeded the recommended durations.
Can I use the whisk for thick mixtures?
No, the whisk is designed for liquids and light mixtures (cream, egg whites). For thick doughs, use the beater.
Are the accessories compatible with other Russell Hobbs models?
The accessories are specific to model 24702. Only use the supplied accessories to avoid any risk of malfunction or injury.
How to store the blender?

USING

  1. Put the plug into the power socket.
  2. Press the top button for low speed, release it to switch off.
  3. Press the bottom button for high speed, release it to switch off.
Generally, large quantities, thick mixes, and a high ratio of solids to liquids require longer timings and slower speeds.
  4. Smaller quantities, thinner mixes, and more liquids than solids require shorter timings and higher speeds.

THE WAND

Generally, the wand can do anything a normal blender can do, but faster, and with less washing up - make mayonnaise, milkshakes, smoothies, or fruit drinks. You can blend, pulp or puree ingredients in the pan or bowl you're going to cook them in.
- Whatever container you use, make sure it's on a stable, flat surface, and support it with your free hand, to prevent it wandering over the work surface.
- When using it in hot liquids, don't let the blade break the surface at an angle, as you might spray liquid outside the bowl/pan/container.
- Don't switch on till the blade is inside the food container.
- Switch off before lifting the blade from the food container.

THE WHISK

  1. Push the whisk into the bottom of the whisk holder.
  2. To remove the whisk, simply pull it out of the bottom of the whisk holder.
  3. Don't immerse the whisk past the bottom of the whisk holder.

THE CHOPPER

You can use the chopper as a mini food processor.

  1. Hold the plastic part of the chopper - keep your fingers well clear of the blade.
  2. Lower it into the bowl, over the spindle in the bottom of the bowl.
  3. Add the ingredients – don't fill the bowl above the 500 mlmark.
  4. Fit the bowl lid – the top of the chopper fits into the drive in the underside of the lid.
  5. Fit the handle to the top of the bowl lid.
  6. Use the chopper in bursts of a few seconds, otherwise you risk overdoing it.
  7. Unplug the handle, then remove the handle from the lid.
  8. Lift the lid gently from the bowl - take care that any drips fall into the bowl.
  9. Lift the chopper only by the plastic part.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Switch the appliance off, and unplug it.
  2. Take great care with the blades - don't handle them directly, use a nylon washing-up brush.
  3. Wipe the handle surfaces with a soft damp cloth.
  4. Clean the blade end of the wand in hot soapy water, with a nylon brush.
  5. Wash the whisk, chopper and bowl in warm soapy water.
  6. Wipe the whisk holder and bowl lid with a damp cloth. Try to keep them dry, as they contain the gearboxes for the whisk and bowl.

You can wash these parts in a dishwasher.
