How to load paper in the tray?

Remove the tray, adjust the guides to the paper size, fan and flex the stack, then load the paper print side down. Make sure the stack height does not exceed the maximum fill indicators. Insert the tray and set the paper type and size from the control panel if necessary.

How to print from a USB flash drive?

Insert the flash drive into the USB port on the front of the printer. On the home screen, press USB Drive, then select the document to print. You can adjust print settings before starting the job. The printer supports PDF, XPS, Microsoft Office, and various image formats.

How to scan a document to a computer?

Make sure the computer and printer are on the same network. From the computer, run Lexmark ScanBack Utility (downloadable from www.lexmark.com). Configure a scan profile by adding the printer's IP address. Place the document in the ADF or on the scanner glass, then from the printer, press Scan Profiles and select the created profile.

How to clear a paper jam?

Identify the jam area on the screen. Remove the jammed paper by pulling gently in the direction of extraction. Possible areas are: behind door A, behind the rear door, in the standard output bin, in the duplex unit, in the trays, in the multipurpose feeder, or in the ADF. Follow the on-screen instructions for each location.

How to set up fax on the printer?

Connect the telephone cable to the LINE port on the printer and to an analog wall jack. On the home screen, go to Settings > Fax > Fax Setup. Follow the initial setup wizard. You can adjust the number of rings before answer, reception mode (auto or manual), and set up forwarding if needed.

How to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network?

From the control panel, go to Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless. Enable Wi-Fi, then select your network and enter the password. You can also use the WPS method (button or PIN) if your router supports it. Verify the connection by printing a network setup page.

How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open door A (front cover). Remove the old cartridge by pulling it toward you. Take the new cartridge out of its packaging, remove the protective tapes, then insert it by sliding it in until it clicks into place. Close the door. The printer will perform a calibration cycle.

How to make a duplex copy?

Place the original document in the ADF or on the scanner glass. On the home screen, press Copy > Settings > Sides. Select Duplex or Duplex (long edge/short edge flip) as needed. Press Copy to start the job.

How to send a scanned document by email?

First, configure the SMTP server settings in Settings > Email > Email Setup. Place the document in the ADF or on the glass, then on the home screen, press Email. Enter the recipient's address and, if necessary, adjust file settings (format, resolution). Press Send.

How to update the printer firmware?

Download the latest firmware file from the Lexmark support website (http://support.lexmark.com). Access the printer's Embedded Web Server by entering its IP address in a browser. Go to Settings > Firmware or Firmware Update, select the downloaded file, and apply the update. The printer will restart automatically.

The replacement item assumes the remaining warranty period of the original product.
