3. Slide the battery cover in until it clicks firmly into place.

Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the product for a long period of time. Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

- Effective distance between the remote control and DVD player remote sensor is three metres.
- When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp or any other strong light shines on the remote sensor of the unit, the remote operation may be unstable.
- When the battery becomes weak, the operating distance of the remote control reduces significantly and you need to replace the battery. Charging the built-in lithium battery Your DVD player is equipped with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Fully charge the battery before using it for the first time.

Headphones connection On the right side of the unit is a headphones socket, suitable for any normal earphones. When the headphones are in use, the speakers are turned off. CAUTION: Too high volume, especially when using headphones, can damage your hearing. For this reason, please turn the volume down before connecting the headphones. Note:

1. Slide the POWER switch to the ON position and then open the lid of the DVD player.
2. Press the PRESS button on the player to open the disc tray.
3. Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces and place it on the tray with the
printed title face up (for a Double-sided DVD Disc, put the disc with label A / 1 up).
4. Close the tray; the disc will load automatically.
If it is a DVD disc, the main menu or the title page will be displayed. Use the direction keys / / / of theFonctions remote controldes or oftouches the device to select the desired option, and then press the PLAY key or the ENTER key to confirm.
- If it is a CD, the first track will play automatically.
- If it is a CD containing files saved in folders, use the direction keys of the remote control to select a folder or files and press the ENTER key to select and open it.

Use the direction keys to select the desired option and press the ENTER key to confirm. Subtitle Press the SUBTITLE key repeatedly to turn on and change the subtitle language shown on screen. - During audio CD / VCD playback, press the AUDIO key repeatedly to select ‘Stereo’, ‘Left’ or ‘Right’. Search You can jump to a specific time location, track, chapter or title.

Title Press the TITLE key to return to the DVD title menu. Display Press the DISPLAY key to show the time and status information on the screen (elapsed time, remaining title, elapsed chapter...) on discs that support this feature. Press this key repeatedly to hide the information. Zoom Press the ZOOM key repeatedly to select zoom levels (2 - 4 and 1/2 - 1/4) or turn this feature off. 1. If a DVD disc contains multi-angle feature, the viewing angles may be selected.

General Setup Page TV DISPLAY Selects the aspect ratio of the playback picture: - 4:3 PANSCAN: if you have a normal TV and want both sides of the picture to be trimmed or formatted to fit your TV screen. - 4:3 LETTERBOX: if you have a normal TV. In this case, a wide picture with black bands on the upper and lower portions of the TV screen will be displayed. - 16:9: wide screen display. - Wide Squeeze: Set screen mode to 4:3. ANGLE MARK Display current angle setting information on the right hand corner of the TFT screen if available on the disc. OSD LANGUAGE You can select your own preferred language settings. CLOSED CAPTIONS Closed captions are data that are hidden in the video signal of some discs. Before you select this function, please ensure that the disc contains closed captions information and your TV set also has this function. SCREEN SAVER This function is used to turn the screen saver ON or OFF AUTO STANDBY This function is used to select auto standby settings after 3 or 4 hours. 3/4 HOURS: the unit will turn to standby mode after 3/4 hours if there is no interaction from user within this period of time. OFF: the auto standby function is disabled, and unit will stay in “on” mode even if no interaction from user. DOLBY DIGITAL The options included in Dolby Digital Setup are: ‘Dual Mono ‘ and ‘Dynamic ‘. - Dual Mono Stereo: Left mono sound will send output signals to Left speaker and Right mono sound will send output signals to Right speaker. L-Mono: Left mono sound will send output signals to Left speaker and Right speaker. R-Mono: Right mono sound will send output signals to Left speaker and Right speaker. Mix-Mono: Left and Right mixed mono sound will send output signals to Left and Right speakers. - Dynamic: Dynamic range compression. Video setup Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation: setting the video quality. Preference Page TV TYPE Selecting the colour system that corresponds to your TV when AV outputs. This DVD Player is compatible with both NTSC and PAL. - PAL - Select this if the connected TV is PAL system. It will change the video signal of a NTSC disc and output in PAL format. - NTSC - Select this if the connected TV is NTSC system. It will change the video signal of a PAL disc and output in NTSC format. - Auto: Change the video signal output automatic according to the playing disk format. AUDIO Select a language for audio (if available). SUBTITLE Select a language for subtitle (if available). DISC MENU Select a language for disc menu (if available). PARENTAL Some DVDs may have a parental level assigned to the complete disc or to certain scenes on the disc. This feature lets you set a playback limitation level. The rating levels are from 1 to 8 and are country dependent. You can prohibit the playing of certain discs that are not suitable for your children or have certain discs played with alternative scenes. DEFAULT Go back to the initial settings. Password Setup Page PASSWORD MODE Set password mode ON/OFF. If set to off, change parental level will not check password. OLD PASSWORD Enter the OLD password (initial password is 1369), and the cursor will jump automatically to NEW PASSWORD. NEW PASSWORD Enter the NEW password. Enter 4 digits from the remote control unit numeric buttons, and the cursor will automatically jump to CONFIRM PASSWORD. CONFIRM PASSWORD Confirm the NEW password by entering it again. If the confirmation is incorrect, the cursor will stay in this column. After entering, the correct new password again, the cursor will jump automatically to OK. NOTE: If the password has been changed, the parental and disc lock code will also be changed. The default password (1369) is always active even the password has been changed. Picture CD Picture CD
1. Load a picture CD into the tray. Use the direction keys to select ‘JPEG’ and press
ENTER key to confirm.
2. Use the
/ keys to select a folder, then press the ENTER key to start browsing through the files.
3. Use the / keys to select a photo, then press the ENTER key to launch a slide show

7. To view the thumbnail list of photos stored on the CD, press the key during slide

Recharge the battery. No picture on the screen. - Check the battery power. No sound. - If the player is connected to other devices (TV or audio amplifier), check the connections. - Make sure the connected devices operate properly. - Check the unit’s volume. The player does not play the inserted disc. - Make sure the disc is properly inserted. - Clean the disc. The remote control does not operate properly or the player does not respond properly to the remote control. - Make sure there are no obstacles between the remote control and the player’s remote sensor. - Make sure to aim the remote control at the remote sensor on the front panel of the player. - Check the remote control’s battery and replace it if necessary. - Make sure to use the remote control within three metres of the remote sensor. Low quality picture. - Check the disc for dirt and scratches. - Shut down the player, wait 10 seconds, and restart the unit. The player’s keys don’t operate properly. - Power surges or other electrical phenomena may cause malfunction. Shut down the player, wait 10 seconds, and restart the unit. Maintenance To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning. The finish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with plain, lukewarm water to clean the exterior of the unit. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts. Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel. Warranty This product is covered by our 2 years warranty program, except for the integrated battery which is covered by a 6-month warranty.
