Why does coffee preparation take too long?

This is often due to limescale buildup in the coffee maker. Perform regular descaling to avoid this problem.

Why does the filter basket overflow?

Several possible causes: the basket is not properly closed, the carafe is not centered underneath, the carafe lid is missing, the carafe has been removed for more than 20 seconds, or you are using too much ground coffee (no more than 10 scoops) or an incorrectly sized filter (use filter size 4).

Why is the coffee not hot?

This may be due to a power cut or the activation of the automatic shut-off (for models KF5120). Check the power supply.

Why is there ground coffee at the bottom of the carafe?

The paper filter was not properly inserted into the basket or it folded. Rinse the basket, place a new size 4 filter correctly and restart.

Why is the number of cups brewed less than the amount of water poured?

Some water is absorbed by the ground coffee and evaporates during brewing. The carafe indicates water capacity, not the volume of coffee obtained.

How to use the Aroma Select function?

Use the Aroma Select selector to choose the coffee strength: mild, normal, or strong, according to your preference.

Where can I buy replacement water filters?

Replacement water filters are available in stores, on the Braun website, or by contacting customer service.

What to do if the ON/OFF button blinks?

If the ON/OFF button blinks, this indicates a malfunction. Please contact Braun customer service.

How to descale the coffee maker?

Use a descaling product suitable for coffee makers. Follow the instructions of the descaling product manufacturer. Generally, fill the reservoir with water and descaling agent, run a cycle, then rinse thoroughly.

What is the space compensator for?

The space compensator must be installed in the water reservoir when the water filter cartridge is removed, to maintain the correct water volume. Keep it carefully.
