How to charge the battery of the BCS82BL24 vacuum cleaner?

You can charge the battery in two ways: using the provided charging cable (plug it directly into the appliance) or with the fast charger (remove the battery and insert it into the charger). You can also place the appliance on the base station to charge it.

What is the runtime of the vacuum cleaner?

The runtime depends on the battery used (3.0 / 4.0 / 5.0 Ah) and the suction mode. For example, with a 4.0 Ah battery in standby mode, you can vacuum up to 65 minutes. In turbo mode, the runtime is reduced to about 10 minutes.

How to clean the vacuum cleaner filter?

Turn off the appliance and remove the dust container. Take out the filter unit (fluff filter and lamella filter). Never let the filters come into contact with liquids. Tap them to remove dust or use a soft brush. Put them back after cleaning.

What types of batteries are compatible?

Use only batteries from the Power for ALL 18 V series by BOSCH, with capacities of 3.0 Ah, 4.0 Ah or 5.0 Ah. Do not use other batteries.

How to mount the base station on the wall?

Check that the battery is correctly inserted and charged. If the error display lights up red, the battery or appliance may be overheated or undercooled. Turn off the appliance, unplug it and wait until it returns to room temperature.

How to empty the dust container?

Press the dust container release button (located on the side) and remove the container. Open the lid and empty the contents into a trash can. Put the container back until it clicks into place.

Can I use the vacuum cleaner on hard floors?

Yes, the vacuum cleaner comes with a hard floor electric brush (reference I). You can use it to vacuum hard floors without scratching. Remember to clean the brush regularly.

How to clean the electric brush?

• Keep clothing, hair, fingers and other body parts away from the openings on the appliance and the moving parts.
• Never point the pipe or the nozzles towards eyes, hair, ears or mouths.
• Ensure that children do not play with the appliance, even when it is in the base station 1 .
• Persons with electronic implants must stand at least 10 cm away from the appliance.
• Keep packaging material away from children. Do not let children play with packaging material. Protect the battery against fire, heat and constant sunlight. Protect the battery against water and penetrating moisture.
• Never open the battery.
• When not in use, keep the battery away from metal objects, e.g. paper clips, coins, keys, nails or screws. Supply fresh air. If there are any problems, seek medical advice from a doctor.
• If these come into contact with the skin, wash immediately with cold water. If these come into contact with the eyes, seek medical help.

Preventing material damage

To prevent material damage to your appliance, accessories or any other objects, follow these instructions.

• Check and clean any wet objects. Replace damaged objects. Regularly check the outsides of the nozzles for wear. Replace the worn nozzle.
• Never use the nozzle without the brush roller in place.
• Never operate the appliance without the filter unit.

Notes

• Like every Li-ion battery, the batteries from the Power for ALL 18 V series wear out over time, meaning that the battery capacity and the runtime decrease. This is a natural aging process and not the result of a material error, manufacturing error or material defect.
• You can delay the natural wear by using the following measures:
• Only charge the battery in the temperature range between 0°C and 45°C.
• Only store the battery in the temperature range between -20 °C and 50 °C.
• Do not store the battery for an extended period of time if it is fully charged or fully discharged.

Installing the base station

• Check whether any household wiring could be damaged in the installation area.
• Do not install the base station horizontally or vertically above, below or next to a socket.

Charging

Only charge the battery in chargers that are recommended by the manufacturer. - Only use the battery in connection with the Bosch appliance. - Charge the battery using the original charging cable 1 or the original quick charger 1 . - Only use batteries from the Power for ALL 18 V series.

Note: The power supply unit on the charging cable 1 and the appliance heat up while charging. This is normal and harmless.
