How to charge the battery?
Use the provided D-BC109 charger. Connect the power cord, insert the battery with the ▲ mark facing up. The indicator lights up during charging and turns off when complete.
Can I use AA batteries?
Yes, with the optional D-BH109 AA battery tray. Use four AA lithium, Ni-MH rechargeable, or alkaline AA batteries. Set the battery type in the Preferences menu.
Which lenses are compatible with the K-50?
DA, DA L, D FA, FA J lenses, as well as lenses with an A position on the aperture ring. Some functions may be limited with other lenses.
How to clean the CMOS sensor?
Use the sensor cleaning function in the menu (DR II). For thorough cleaning, contact a PENTAX service center. Never use aerosol or solvents.
What to do in case of an error message?
Refer to the 'Error messages' section of the manual (page 302). Common solutions include reinserting the battery or memory card, or formatting the card.
