How to set the DMX start address?
Use the DIP switches on the back of the fixture. Each switch has a value (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256). Add the values of the switches in the ON position to obtain the address. For example, for address 5, set DIP 1 and 3 to ON (1+4=5). For master mode, the address must be 001 (DIP 1 ON, all others OFF).
What to do if the fixture does not power on?
First, check that the power cord is properly connected and that the mains socket works. Then, check the fuse located in the fuse holder next to the IEC inlet. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a fuse of the same type: 250V 2A fast blow (20mm glass). If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.
How to clean the lenses and mirror?
Unplug the fixture and allow it to cool. Use a soft cloth and glass cleaner. Clean external optics at least every 30 days, and internal optics every 90 days. For internal cleaning, have it done by qualified personnel.
How to set up master/slave mode?
Connect the units together with XLR 3-pin cables. The master unit must have DMX address 001 (DIP 1 ON). Slaves must have an address different from 001 (for example, set the first three DIPs ON). The master is the unit that does not have a cable connected to its DMX input. To reverse the behavior of a slave, set DIP 10 ON.
What type of DMX cable to use?
Use good quality balanced XLR 3-pin cables. Avoid Y-splitter cables which do not work. At the end of the DMX chain, place a termination plug of 90 to 120 ohms to avoid interference.
Can I use the fixture outdoors?
No, the fixture is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain or humidity to avoid any risk of fire or electric shock.
How to replace the fuse?
Unplug the fixture. Open the fuse holder located next to the IEC inlet. Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type: 250V 2A fast blow (20mm glass). Never short-circuit or repair a fuse.
What to do if the light flickers abnormally?
First check the operating mode: in standalone mode, flickering may be normal (sound activated). If the flickering is random or annoying, switch to DMX mode and check the configuration. Ensure DMX cables are in good condition and termination plugs are correct.
How to connect the CA-8 remote control?
The CA-8 remote control connects via a 1/4'' stereo jack to the input on the back of the master unit. It allows control of black-out, mode, and function. The LED indicator on the remote shows the selected mode.
How to activate standalone mode?
Simply plug the fixture into mains and play music. The internal microphone picks up sound and the fixture automatically reacts to the beat. No additional configuration is needed for standalone mode.
