Frequently Asked Questions - XT 200 WEED EATER

What type of fuel to use for the XT 200 brush cutter?
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-stroke oil in a ratio of 40:1. Mix thoroughly before filling the tank.
How to start the device when cold?
Set the choke to 'Cold', pump the primer bulb several times until you see fuel, then pull the starter cord gently until you feel compression. Pull firmly. Once the engine starts, open the choke gradually.
How to replace the nylon line?
Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Open the cutting head cover, remove any remaining line. Wind a new line (Ø 2.4 mm) in the indicated direction, leaving 15 cm on each side. Replace the cover.
When should the air filter be cleaned?
Clean the air filter after each use or more often in dusty conditions. Remove the cover, take out the filter, wash it in soapy water, dry it, and lightly oil it before reinstalling.
What to do if the blade turns at idle?
This indicates an idle speed that is too high. Adjust the idle screw (usually marked 'L' or 'T') to reduce the speed until the blade stops. If the problem persists, check the throttle cable.
How to sharpen the blade?
Remove the blade and clamp it in a vise. Use a flat file to sharpen each tooth, maintaining the original angle (about 30°). Always file from inside to outside. Balance the blade after sharpening.
What safety precautions to wear?
Always wear safety glasses, heavy gloves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and hearing protection. Do not wear loose clothing. Use a harness if necessary.
Engine won't start: what to check?
Check the spark plug (clean, gap 0.6 mm), the air filter (clean), the fuel mixture (fresh, properly mixed). Ensure the tank has fuel and the emergency stop is not engaged.
How to store the device during winter?
Empty the tank and let the engine run until it stops. Drain the carburetor by removing the drain plug. Clean the machine, oil the cylinder through the spark plug hole, and tighten the spark plug without connecting it. Store in a dry place.
