Frequently Asked Questions - GC805 SWEEX

How to install the SWEEX GC805 graphics card?
Unplug the computer, discharge static electricity, open the case, locate a free AGP slot, insert the card straight into the slot avoiding touching the gold contacts, then secure it with a screw.
What are the prerequisites to use this card?
A computer with a free AGP slot, sufficient power supply (the card draws power from the slot), and a compatible operating system (Windows, Linux) with appropriate drivers.
Is the card compatible with my computer?
Check that your motherboard has an AGP slot (not PCI Express). The GC805 card is standard AGP. Consult your PC manual to identify the slot.
What to do if the computer does not start after installation?
Check that the card is fully seated in the slot, that the monitor power cable is connected to the card (not the motherboard), and that drivers are properly installed. Try removing and reinserting the card.
How to clean the graphics card?
Use a soft dry cloth to remove dust. Never use liquid or abrasive products. Avoid touching electronic components.
The card makes noise, is this normal?
This card is usually passive (fanless). If you hear noise, check that a cable or object is not touching the components. A hum may come from the power supply.
Can I open the card casing?
No, opening voids the warranty. The card contains no user-serviceable parts. In case of issues, contact the point of sale or Sweex support.
What is the warranty of the card?
Sweex offers a standard 2-year warranty in the EU from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects. Accessories, batteries, and software are excluded.
How to get the drivers?
Drivers are usually available on the Sweex website or included on a CD. Search for model GC805 in the support section. You can also use the system's generic drivers.
Can I use this card for gaming?
This card is an entry-level AGP card, suitable for office and basic multimedia use. It is not suitable for demanding recent 3D games.
