Congratulations for having chosen the quality and reliability of a SEACSUB product. The equipment you have purchased was made with selected and tested materials. Development and constant research allow us to evolve continually. Innovative manufacturing processes, constant controls and testing, as well as testing under real conditions guarantee the reliability that all SEACSUB products are known for.
WARNING
Read this entire manual before using this equipment! This manual must be retained for as long as you own the product!
GENERAL INFORMATION.
- Before using the Led torch you must be familiar with all the safety regulations. Follow the indications in the instruction manual carefully and obey pertinent national and local laws; those concerning the minimum age limit for using this product, proper conduct during its use and transport, the areas where it is allowed, and warning devices, etc. The inappropriate use of underwater equipment may be dangerous and cause damage to objects or personal injury.
- During the assembly and finishing of the Led torch, all possible provisions were made to supply a highly reliable, long-lasting product. Such provisions may become ineffective if the user does not use the Led torch correctly and does not maintain it adequately.
- SEACSUB S.p.A. denies any responsibility for any problem resulting from a lack of observation of the recommendations made in this manual.
- For any other eventuality, please contact your authorized SEACSUB dealer or SEACSUB directly. In order to guarantee maximum safety, every repair or maintenance intervention must be carried out only by authorized SEACSUB workshops.
WARNING
Follow the rules below to avoid problems and prevent risk of damage to objects and personal injury.
On the surface
- Before using the torch, read this entire manual very carefully.
- Current regulations require that batteries must be removed from the torch before being brought on board aircraft.
- We strongly recommend checking the state of the batteries before use.
- Do not insert batteries that present deformations to the casing or loss of liquid.
- Avoid keeping the torch turned on out of the water for extensive periods of time.
- Do not aim the light directly into your eyes or other people's eyes, either on the surface or underwater.
- Keep the torch in a temperate environment, avoiding storage in excessively damp or hot environments.
- Avoid leaving the torch in direct sunlight or in environments with temperatures above 50° C.
- In case of extensive storage and disuse, it is advisable to remove the batteries.
- Do not unscrew the head of the torch if it is still wet.
- Check that the switch is in the blocked position to avoid inadvertent switching on during transport.
- Extensive use out of the water and subsequent dives may cause damage to the device.
- The autonomy declared in the technical specification depends on the quality and state of the batteries used. Please check that the Alkaline batteries (inserted in the correct position) are suitable and of reasonable quality.
Underwater use
- Never, for any reason, point the light into someone's eyes during underwater dives.
- Do not unscrew the head of the torch while diving.
- In case of accidental loss, remember that the torch has negative buoyancy and therefore, if dropped, will fall downwards.
- While diving, check that there is not a constant stream of air bubbles escaping from the torch. If there are such bubbles, turn the torch off and when safely possible, return to the surface.
- Consult a diving instructor to familiarize yourself with international light signals for communications.
- Do not use the torch as a means of sound signaling. Repeated blows may permanently damage internal components.
- Check that the torch is firmly attached to the diver with the fastener provided.
- The fastener provided is fixed to a loop connected to the rear of the torch. Always check the connection and the state of the fastener in order to avoid loss of equipment.
INTRODUCTION
AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
The X-LED/X5-LED torch is a result of research conducted in close collaboration with numerous professional diving operators. The innovative characteristics guarantee a reliability that remains unchanged over time. At the same time, the mechanical and functional aspects allow an extremely simple maintenance regime.
This new torch joins high, long-lasting performance, light quality, and reliability to meet the needs of divers and diving centers.
The strongpoint of the LED system lies in high-quality luminosity with an autonomy that, in most cases, is four times that of the average autonomy for torches with halogen bulbs. The efficiency and the excellent quality of LED guarantee a lifespan of 50,000 hours, eliminating the need for a periodic replacement of the torch itself.
The characteristic white light allows a realistic perception of colors while diving, adding further significant motivation to the dive itself.
The manageability and the practicality, due to the reduced size and anatomical form, allow the diver to keep the torch in various points of the jacket (including pockets), without being bulky, while the elastic band provided guarantees the perfect connection between the diver and the torch.
Another practical advantage can be found in the use of 1,5 V Alkaline batteries that are readily available. It is possible to replace the batteries anywhere without having to find non-standard formats or electrical power sources for recharging.
All the components are of high quality and specially designed for intense diving activity. This is the reason why we recommend the X-LED/X5-LED torch to diving centers where a single recharging with new batteries will allow multiple dives to be carried out.
The switch-on knob allows the use of the X-LED/X5-LED Torch even with thick gloves where a sure grip is required. The switch on the knob offers safe transport without the risk of inadvertently switching on the torch.
A thermal protection system does not allow the LED to be switched on if the torch has been exposed to temperatures above 50° C. As soon as the temperature is lowered, the system will begin working normally.
WARNING
The X5LED version has been set up with an intelligent worn battery warning system: only two of the five LEDs will stay on at maximum power to warn the user that the batteries are low. This means that even the longest dive can be completed safely, knowing that the batteries will require replacing.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Battery replacement for the X-LED/X5-LED Torch requires a simple procedure of disassembly and reassembly.
Here are step-by-step instructions:
Holding the head of the torch in your left hand and the body in your right hand, unscrew the torch casing counter-clockwise (drawing 1 - 2).

MAINTENANCE AND TRANSPORT
- At the end of every dive (sea, lake, pool), always rinse with fresh water and dry.
- It is advisable to have the product inspected annually by an authorized SEAC SUB center.
- In case of prolonged disuse, we advise replacing the old batteries. If the torch will most likely not be used for a period of more than 30 days, it is advisable to remove the batteries from the battery casing.
- Never insert batteries that present deformations to the casing or loss of liquid.
- If water should enter the torch, it is advisable to open it and rinse the inside immediately with fresh water; taking care to first remove the batteries from the battery casing. Dry immediately with a cloth or with a hairdryer on a warm setting, paying particular attention to parts with electrical contacts.
Remove eventual rust from metal parts and proceed with the insertion of new batteries to check proper functioning.
- If a large quantity of water entered the torch or if it remained inside for a long time, it is advisable to open the torch and immediately rinse the inside with fresh water. In this case we suggest you immediately consult a competent repair center or the nearest SEACSUB store.
- Always transport the torch inside a bag that protects it from eventual impact.
- During transport or disuse, the ring switch must be left in the blocking position. In order to block the switch knob, you must activate the blocking button on the knob itself (drawing 14).
