Warnings and guidance on safety

Read these instructions carefully before using the baby carrier and retain them for future reference. If you fail to follow these instructions you may be jeopardising your child's safety.

CAUTION: Never leave your child unsupervised.

CAUTION: Keep the plastic packing materials out of the reach of children to prevent the risk of suffocation.

CAUTION: Before using the carrier, make sure that all the belts are done up.

CAUTION: Bear in mind that the child in the carrier is more exposed to the weather conditions than the adult carrying the child.

CAUTION: A child sitting in the carrier may be higher up than the head of the adult. This may result in a hazard, e.g. a risk of knocking into a door-frame.

Make sure that your child has enough breathing space in front of its face to ensure a supply of air.

Always make sure that the adjustable belts are perfectly adjusted to your child's needs.

Bear in mind that the child's and the adult's movements may upset the balance of the adult carrying the child.

Make sure that the adult carrying the child is very careful when bending or leaning forwards. So always bend with your knees and never from the hip.

Remember that the carrier is designed for leisure activities but not for sporting activities.

Make sure that your child is always well strapped in and is sitting securely in the child carrier seat. The belts have to be done up properly.

Bear in mind that the child sitting in the carrier may become tired. Frequent, regular stops are recommended.

Never use a damaged baby carrier.

Use only original hauck accessories and original hauck spare parts.

Care instructions

In general

From time to time check that the stitching on the fabric is intact and that the plastic parts are in good condition. Defective or worn out parts subject to wear must be replaced straight away. Likewise replace components that are broken, torn, defective or worn thin. Use only original hauck spare parts.

Cleaning

To look after the fabric carefully, clean it by just wiping the baby carrier own evenly with a damp cloth. Let the fabric dry naturally.

The bib can be separated from the carrier and washed in a washing machine at 30^ (delicates).

Make sure you follow the care symbols sewn into the carrier, too!

Only a few movements will be necessary for putting your child into the baby carrier and transporting him or her safely, after you have adjusted the baby carrier to suit your personal needs. You can use the baby carrier from when your child is one week old and for as long as his or her weight is less than 7 kg (approximately 12 months old).

The baby carrier has two basic functions.

  1. It can be carried in front of your abdomen with your child facing towards you (figure2)
  2. It can be carried in front of your abdomen with your child facing towards the direction in which you are walking (figure 1)

Adaptation of the baby carrier's seat to the child's size (figures 3a, 3b and 3c) Adapt the baby carrier's seat to your child's size by adjusting the seat's height accordingly, with the aid of the adjustable loop between the baby carrier's seat and the baby's carrier's supporting system. Care must be taken to ensure that all of the belts are adapted to the baby carrier and that the locks on the belts are closed, when carrying the baby carrier's seat.
