3 Features of the Backstage Ion Seduction hair straightener

Achieve a catwalk hairstyle at home

These sophisticated second generation hair straighteners are inspired by the backstage salons at fashion shows. Learn the tricks and get a catwalk look by visiting www.backstagesolac.com, where you will find the products and tips you need to get a high-fashion look for your hair. A professional stylist will give you a step-by-step demonstration of how to get the look you love using the straightener.

The Backstage Ion Seduction straightener is the only tool you need to get curls, movement, volume and perfect straightening, thanks to its advanced technology and special features.

Tourmaline plates: maximum softness

- The ceramic tourmaline plates make hair softer than conventional plates, allowing the hair to glide through without friction, and protecting it from damage. As the hair glides through, the cuticle is sealed, eliminating frizz. Extra care for your hair, which will look healthy and shiny.

Ionizer: the seduction of glossy hair

  • Backstage Ion Seduction applies ions to the hair, making it naturally seductive.
  • The ions come directly into contact with the hair, reducing the stress caused by friction and static electricity, and leaving it shinier and softer.

Advance Movement Technology: straight and curly hair

- This model has tilting plates, and the slight movement allows the plates to adapt to the hair without exerting pressure or pulling. The plates glide along the hair easily, smoothly, without pulling. This feature makes it much easier to straighten, wave, curl and give volume to the hair.

New, more rounded shape

- The new, more rounded shape helps you create radically different styles: Perfectly straight, gentle waves and even the most romantic of curls. Learn to do it yourself by visiting www.backstagesolac.com.

Ultra fast heating

- These straighteners have a high-performance professional element, which makes it ready to use in just 40 seconds.

Warning buzzer

- When the straighteners have reached the desired temperature, they will make a sound to let you know they are ready for use.

Safety auto-off system

- For safety reasons the straighteners will switch themselves off after 20 minutes if not touched.

Memory feature

  • To make it easy to use your Backstage Ion Seduction straighteners, they will memorise the last temperature set.
  • The straightener stores the most recently used temperature in its memory, provided the appliance is not unplugged from the power. The information is lost from the memory when the straightener is unplugged.

It adapts to you: Intelligent temperature control

- Thanks to its advanced temperature control system, which uses a sophisticated microprocessor and its LCD display screen, you can adjust the temperature of the plates to your hair type (from 150°C to 220°C in 5°C steps).

4 Use

This appliance has been designed to wave, curl, curl ends in and out, add body and straighten hair.
While operating, the plates may reach temperatures of up to 220°C. The plastic parts near the ceramic plates may also be hot. Do not allow the hot parts to come close to the skin to avoid possible burns.
Under no circumstances should you use flammable substances (gel, etc.) on your hair before using the straighteners.
Do not use the straightener on wet hair.

Recommended temperatures

HAIR STRUCTURETEMPERATURE
Fine, porous, coloured, bleached150°C - 165°C
Normal170°C - 185°C
Strong, resistant190°C - 200°C
Very curly and strong, and for a professional result205°C - 220°C

The higher the temperature, the faster and more professional the results.
When used at the maximum temperature, we do not recommend using the straightener more than once on the same lock of hair.

Operation

1 Place the straightener on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
2 Plug it in.
3 Press the on button (1), and the digital screen will light up (2) in red, showing the straightener is operating, (Fig. 1).
4 Choose the temperature you need using the + and - buttons (3), (Fig. 2).
5 While it is heating up, the temperature indicator will move.
6 When the chosen temperature is reached, the iron will make a sound, the screen will go blue and the temperature indicator will stop moving (fig.3).

The straightener will maintain the preselected temperature constant.

To straighten (Fig. 4)

1 Take a lock of hair (approximately 4 cm wide) and place it between the plates. Close them and slide the straightener down the lock of hair from the roots to the tips.
2 Repeat this operation until all your hair is completely straight.
For best results, we recommend you begin with the lower layers of hair and continue with the top layers.

To curl tips outwards (Fig. 5)

1 Place the tip of the lock of hair between the plates and close them.
2 Turn the straightener outwards as if it were a hairbrush.
3 Keep it in this position for a few seconds.

To curl tips inwards (Fig. 6)

1 Place the tip of the lock of hair between the plates and close them.
2 Turn the straightener inwards as if it were a hairbrush.
3 Keep it in this position for a few seconds.

To add body (Fig. 7)

1 Place the lock of hair between the plates at the roots and close them.
2 Place the lock of hair in vertical position with a slight forward movement to add the desired volume.

To wave (Fig. 8)

1 For a wavy or curly look, separate vertical locks so the curls fall more naturally.
2 Take thicker sections for bigger curls or natural-looking waves and finer strands for romantic ringlets and tighter curls.
3 Wrap each lock of hair around the straightener using a circular motion (as through it were a round brush) to get a wave and ringlet-shaped lock.
4 Wrap the hair around as you slide the straightener downwards.

5 After Use

1 Switch off the straightener using the on/off button (1).
2 Unplug the appliance.
3 You can use the thermal bag to store the straightener, even if the plates are still hot.

6 Cleaning and Storage

Only clean the appliance when it is cold. Do not use solvents, detergents or abrasive products.

1 Unplug the appliance.
2 Use a dry cloth to clean the outside.
3 Clean the plates with a damp cloth and then dry them.
