Frequently Asked Questions - AIRCLEAN 10G Ulsonix

How long should I run the AIRCLEAN 10G for a room of about 150 m³?
For 150 m³, use Auto mode and select program P2 (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, repeated 5 times). Alternatively, set the timer to approximately 20-30 minutes of continuous operation. Always ventilate the room for 15–30 minutes after treatment and wait at least 2 hours before re-entry.
Can I use the ozone generator in the same room as people or pets?
No, never. Ozone is a toxic gas. Ensure all humans and animals leave the treated area, close external doors, seal gaps, and switch off mechanical ventilation. Post a warning sign and only re-enter after adequate ventilation (at least 2 hours after the cycle completes, preceded by 15–30 minutes of ventilation).
What are the differences between the AUTO programs P1, P2, and P3?
P1 operates 10 minutes on / 20 minutes off, P2 operates 20 minutes on / 20 minutes off, and P3 operates 40 minutes on / 20 minutes off. Each program repeats 5 cycles. They are designed for different room sizes: P1 for rooms smaller than 140 m³, P2 for 140–210 m³, and P3 for 210–280 m³.
How do I set a custom timer interval on the control panel?
Press the Timer button to activate timer mode, then press Set until the time blinks. Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the delay (from 5 minutes to 24 hours) and press Set to confirm. The device will turn on immediately and operate for the set duration before deactivating.
How often should the ozone plates be replaced?
For optimal performance, replace the ozone plates every 6 months. Use only original spare parts from Ulsonix to ensure safety and compatibility.
Is it safe to stay in the room while the device is running if I wear a mask?
No. The manual strictly forbids any person from being in the room during ozone treatment. Even with a mask, there is a serious health risk. If you must enter briefly to turn off the device, wear full protective equipment including a chemical cartridge mask and sealed goggles, and leave immediately.
What type of power outlet is required?
The AIRCLEAN 10G operates on standard mains power: 230 V~ / 50 Hz. The plug must be earthed (grounded). Ensure the socket matches the plug and is properly grounded.
How do I change the fuse if the device stops working?
Disconnect the device from the power supply, remove the fuse holder from the power socket, and replace the fuse with one of identical parameters (typically 10A, but verify on the label). Reinstall the holder securely. If unsure, contact a qualified electrician.
Can I treat a car interior with this ozone generator?
Yes, as long as you follow the room size guidelines for the given volume. Seal the car, run the device on a suitable time (e.g., 10-20 minutes for a standard car), and air it out thoroughly afterward. Never stay inside the vehicle during treatment.
What maintenance does the air filter require?
Clean the air filter regularly with a soft, damp cloth to prevent dust accumulation, and ensure it is completely dry before reinserting. Do not wash the device with water or submerge it. Check for damage regularly.

Ulsonix AIRCLEAN 10G - Safe device use - 1

ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device and its protective features, and despite the use of additional elements protecting the operator, there is still slight risk of accident or injury when using the device. Stay alert and use common sense when using the device.

When operating an ozone generator and if it's absolutely necessary to be in its vicinity, the type and protection level of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.

a) Respiratory Protection

  • Air-Purifying Respirators: Use a respirator equipped with an ozone-specific filter. NIOSH assigns ozone a specific filter designation, such as N, R, or P series filters with a rating of 100 (e.g., N100, R100, P100) for high efficiency. For ozone, a particulate filter is not effective by itself, and the respirator should have a combination chemical cartridge that can absorb ozone, such as an activated carbon filter. The exact type of respirator filter required can depend on the ozone concentration.
  • Supplied-Air Respirator (SAR) or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA): For very high concentrations of ozone or for long durations, a more protective approach might be necessary, such as an SAR or SCBA, which provides clean air from a source independent of the surrounding environment.

b) Eye Protection

- Safety Goggles: Closed, air-tight safety goggles are recommended to protect against eye irritation caused by ozone exposure. Ensure they form a seal around the eyes.

c) Skin Protection

- Protective Clothing: Wear long sleeves, long pants, and gloves to minimize skin exposure. Materials that provide a barrier to gases or are less permeable to ozone are preferable. Ozone can degrade certain materials, so it's important to choose protective clothing that is resistant to oxidation.

d) Other Considerations

  • Ensure proper fit and training: For respirators, a proper fit test is essential to ensure the effectiveness of the mask. Users should also be trained on the correct use and limitations of their PPE.
  • Monitor ozone levels: Use ozone detectors to monitor the concentration of ozone in the area to ensure it does not exceed safe levels as recommended by health and safety guidelines.

Ulsonix AIRCLEAN 10G - d) Other Considerations - 1

Reactivity of Ozone: Ozone is a highly reactive gas. It can react with various substances and materials. Avoid contact with flammable materials, fuels, and reactive chemicals.

Ulsonix AIRCLEAN 10G - d) Other Considerations - 2

Danger of Reaction Products: Ozone reactions can produce potentially harmful by-products. Some of these by-products can be highly reactive or toxic. To minimize risks, ensure proper ventilation to dissipate by-products.

Ulsonix AIRCLEAN 10G - d) Other Considerations - 3

Explosiveness of Ozone: Ozone gas is not inherently explosive, but it can react with certain substances to form explosive mixtures. Avoid mixing ozone with substances that can lead to explosive reactions.

Ulsonix AIRCLEAN 10G - d) Other Considerations - 4

Timers and Automation: Use timers or automation features to control the duration of ozone generation. Set treatment times according to room size and ozone concentration guidelines.

Ulsonix AIRCLEAN 10G - d) Other Considerations - 5

Safety Gear: When entering ozone-treated areas, wear appropriate personal active equipment (PPE) such as full masks, gloves, and eye protection to minimize exposure to ozone and its by-products.

3. Use guidelines

Ozone generator produces ozone from surrounding air.

The user is liable for any damage resulting from unintended use of the device.
