Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance tasks should not be carried out by children.
• Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.
• Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.

• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
  This symbol means "caution, hot surface". The accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself.

• This appliance must not be operated with timers or external remote control system.

• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is earthed.
• Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
• Place the appliance on an even, heat-resistant surface. Do not place the appliance near heat sources, places with high humidity levels, or combustible materials.

• Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow the cable to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cable hang over

the edge of the working surface or worktop. The accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself.

• Make sure that your hands are dry when you touch the appliance, power cord, or plug.
• Leave a minimum safety distance around the appliance. Do not cover the appliance during use.
• The appliance should not be used in potentially dangerous locations, such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden, or wet atmospheres.
• Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Before using the device for the first time, operate it for 10 minutes without any food on it. This will help removing the scent that the device emits when used for the first time. The device may also emit some smoke. Keep the room ventilated during this process.
• Clean all surfaces that come into contact with food before using the appliance.
• The appliance is not placed on a stable surface.

NOTE:

Smoke might be observed during the first use due to residual manufacture waste. This is not dangerous and does not affect the safety of the product.

3. OPERATION

• Plug the device in.
• If it is the first time the device is used, it is recommended to apply some oil to the surface and then wipe it with a soft cloth.

• Set the selector switch to MIN so that the device starts to pre-heat. This process will take 5-8 minutes. The red light indicator light will turn on, indicating that it has started to heat up. Metallic parts will reach high temperatures. Do not touch them.

• It is also suggested to leave a 15-cm distance between the device and the closest wall.

• Place the pans under the heating element. Set the selector switch between "MIN" and "MAX" position. Turn the selector switch to the "OFF" position when you have finished cooking.
• Unplug the device from the mains after use.
• Use a wooden spatula to turn or take foods out. Metal spatulas can scratch the non-stick coating of pans and the plate.
• Do not use any plates or pans other than those supplied with the product.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Disconnect the device from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Use a soft and damp cloth to clean the product.
• Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not wind the cable around the product, this could damage it.
• Store the appliance in a dry and cool place.
