Before Initial Use
GB
Before using the wok for the first time, please clean it as described under "Cleaning and Care".
Initial Operation of the Fondue Set
Please select a suitable non-slip base on which to place your wok.
- Unwind the cable of the hotplate to its full extent
- Place the fondue equipment on the heating stand.
- Fill the pot with fat or stock (0.7 litres to 1.5 litres). The most suitable types of oil are frying oils or vegetable oil.
- Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230V,50Hz safety socket.
- Switch on the device and set the highest level. Leave the oil to heat. With a wooden stick (e.g. shashlik spit or wooden cooking spoon) you can test whether the correct temperature has been reached. When this is inserted into the oil, small air bubbles should rise up along the wooden stick. Alternatively, you can place a piece of the food to be fried into the hot oil. If bubbles are formed, the frying fat has reached the right temperature.
- Place the pieces of meat on the fondue forks and then dip them into the oil. Depending on the size of the meat pieces, the cooking process takes between 4 and 7 minutes, i.e. the smaller the pieces of meat or other food are, the faster they are cooked.
ATTENTION: Place the ingredients carefully into the hot oil. Care is required as you are frying in an open vessel and it is not possible to avoid oil splashes. Dry off the ingredients beforehand with a cloth.
- Adjust the temperature with the regulator such that the oil simmers.
- If you would like to stop the cooking process, turn the temperature regulator to the minimum setting and remove the mains plug from the socket. Allow the frying oil a considerable time to cool down. Before continuing to use the full frying pot, please ensure that it is no longer at a dangerous temperature.
Cleaning and care
- Before cleaning the machine always remove the mains plug and wait until the machine has cooled down.
- External stains can be removed with a moist cloth without using detergents.
- Clean the wok, cover and accessories in the usual way in water. Only clean the base with a lightly moistened cloth without using detergents. Do not place the base in water.
Clean the fondue pot with a damp cloth.
