DuoSet™ with Firefly™ Headset
Thank you for selecting the DuoSet™ with Firefly™ Headset from Plantronics.
The DuoSet™ is a noise-cancelling headset featuring an In Use Indicator designed for use with the Plantronics CA40 DECT Adapter.
This user guide provides instructions on the assembly and usage of your headset.

The headset boom features an In Use Indicator which, when used in conjunction with the CA40 DECT Adapter, will flash to visually notify your co-workers that you are talking on the telephone using a headset. The boom also features a noise-cancelling microphone.
HEADSET ASSEMBLY: OVER-THE-HEAD
To identify headset components, please refer to the above diagram key (1-14). For assembly instructions, please refer to the diagrams A-F on page 3.
Fig. A Attach the ear cushion to the receiver ensuring that the two notches on the ear cushion align with the boom.
Fig. B Insert the ball joint of the headband into the socket on the back of the receiver.
Fig. C Plug the 2.5mm connector into the headset port of the CA40 DECT Adapter.
Fig. D Place the headband over the top of your head with the ear cushion resting comfortably on your ear. The T-bar should be positioned above your other ear. If necessary the length of the headband can be adjusted. The headset can be worn with the receiver on either ear - simply position the receiver on the appropriate ear and rotate the boom into a suitable position.
Fig. E Position the boom towards your mouth. You are now ready to make or receive calls.
Fig. F The clothing clip helps to keep the headset free from the weight of the headset cable. Attach the clip to your clothing at a comfortable level.
HEADSET ASSEMBLY: OVER-THE-EAR
To identify headset components, please refer to the diagram key (1-14) on page 7. For assembly instructions, please refer to the diagrams G-L on page 4.
Fig. G Attach the pivot ball ring onto the receiver ensuring that the mounting socket for the earloop is parallel with and touching the boom.
Fig. H Depending on which ear the headset is to be worn, insert the earloop point into the mounting socket of the pivot ball ring from either the left or right hand side.

Fig. J Slot the headset cable into the earloop cable retainers. Then position the headset as shown and gently press the receiver against your ear. Adjust the conformable earloop around your ear to obtain a comfortable fit.
Fig. K Position the boom towards your mouth. You are now ready to make or receive calls.

Replace the ear cushion every 6 months.
Clean the cable and headset with a moist cloth once a month or when necessary.
PROBLEM
Callers cannot hear me.
Ensure that the boom is correctly positioned towards your mouth.
Check that the headset is correctly plugged into your CA40 DECT Adapter.
PROBLEM
I cannot hear callers.
Ensure that the receiver is correctly positioned against your ear.
Check that the headset is correctly plugged into your CA40 DECT Adapter.
PROBLEM
The headband is uncomfortable.
Adjust the headband by lengthening or shortening the band.
PROBLEM
The earloop is uncomfortable.
Adjust the conformable earloop to suit your ear.
PROBLEM
The headset works but the In Use Indicator does not flash whilst I am making a call.
The In Use Indicator is designed to work exclusively with the CA40 DECT Adapter.
