What to do if the ignition does not work?
First check that the batteries are correctly placed (respect the polarities) and sufficiently powerful. If necessary, replace them with new alkaline batteries (4x LR20). Also ensure the tank contains fuel and the wick is soaked (wait 30 minutes after filling).
Why is the flame unstable or producing soot?
This may be due to incorrect burner positioning: it must be vertical and move slightly without forcing. Use new and suitable fuel. Also check that the fuel filter is clean and the flame height is correct (refer to the marks in figure Q).
How to safely turn off the appliance?
Press the extinguishing button (①). The flame will go out after a few moments. Never move the appliance while it is hot or lit. For prolonged shutdown, let the appliance consume all its fuel outdoors before storing.
What fuel to use and where to get it?
Use exclusively liquid fuel for mobile heaters conforming to the decrees of 8/1/1998 and 18/7/2002. Available from heating appliance retailers. Never use used or unsuitable fuel, as this can damage the appliance and pose a danger.
How to fill the tank correctly?
Always turn off the appliance before filling. Remove the removable tank, unscrew the cap, and use the supplied hand pump. Fill to the gauge without overfilling (fuel expands). Tighten the cap and wipe up any spills. Never fill in the room where the appliance is used.
What to do if the appliance turns off slowly?
This may be due to an empty tank (fill it), moisture in the filter (dry it), or a hardened wick. Let the appliance consume all its fuel (outdoors) to clean the wick. Use new fuel at the start of the season.
How to maintain the wick?
To extend the wick's lifespan, periodically let the appliance consume all its fuel until automatic shutdown. If the flame remains weak, clean the filter and check that the wick is not worn. For replacement, follow chapter L of the manual (the appliance must be off and cold).
What are the recommended room volumes?
The appliance is designed for rooms with a volume between 85 m³ and 110 m³ (approximately 34 to 44 m²). For smaller rooms, it is essential to partially open a window or door about 2.5 cm to ensure adequate ventilation.
How to transport the appliance?
Let the appliance cool down, remove the removable tank and the fuel filter. Insert the transport cap in place of the filter. Always transport the appliance in an upright position to avoid leaks.
What to do in case of persistent problem?
