Frequently Asked Questions - PAS 2000 EDEN
How to install the PAS 2000 pump?
Place the pump on a stable surface or immerse it vertically in water. Connect the suction hose (inlet) and discharge hose (outlet) respecting the indicated flow direction. Connect the 230V power supply and ensure the pump is primed (filled with water) before starting.
Why does my pump not start?
First check the power supply (cable, socket, circuit breaker). Make sure the capacitor is not defective. If the pump is blocked, disassemble the hydraulic part to free the rotor. Refer to the wiring diagram in the manual.
How to bleed air from the system?
To remove air, open the bleed plug (or discharge valve) located on the pump body while allowing water to enter. Close as soon as water flows without bubbles. Some models have an automatic bleed screw.
What regular maintenance is required?
Clean the suction strainer every month in dirty water. Descale the pump body if the water is hard (diluted white vinegar). Check the condition of the mechanical seal and rotor once a year.
The pump makes an abnormal noise, what to do?
A clicking noise often indicates foreign objects in the impeller. Disassemble and clean. A humming noise may be due to lack of water (cavitation) or worn bearings. Stop immediately and inspect.
What is the maximum immersion depth?
The maximum depth is 7 meters. Beyond that, the seal may be compromised. For deep well installation, use a suitable support cable.
Can I use this pump with hot water?
No, the maximum water temperature is 35 °C. Hotter water would damage the seals and electrical parts. Do not pump flammable or aggressive liquids.
How to replace the capacitor?
Disconnect the pump from the mains. Open the electrical box (usually 4 screws). Locate the capacitor (metal or plastic cylinder). Note its capacitance (e.g., 10 µF) and voltage (450V). Disconnect the wires, replace with an identical model. Close carefully.
Why is the flow rate low?
Possible causes: clogged strainer, leak in suction hose, discharge head too high, or blockage in impeller. Also check that the pump is properly primed (no air pockets).
Does the manual include the wiring diagram?
Yes, the complete manual (222 pages) contains the detailed wiring diagram, exploded views of parts, and disassembly procedure. Download it for free at notice-facile.com by selecting your language.
