Frequently Asked Questions - Optimus ARGRILL02 ARDES

How should I clean the grill plate after use?
Allow the plate to cool completely, then wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residues, use a soft brush. Never immerse the grill plate in water or use abrasive cleaners that could damage the non-stick coating.
Can I use metal utensils on the non-stick surface?
No, metal utensils can scratch and damage the non-stick coating. Always use wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils to preserve the surface.
Is the grill plate dishwasher safe?
It is not recommended to put the grill plate in the dishwasher. The high temperature and detergents may damage the non-stick coating. Hand washing is advised.
What is the maximum temperature of this grill plate?
The exact maximum temperature is not specified, but typical electric grill plates reach up to 230°C (450°F). The adjustable thermostat allows you to set different heat levels for various foods.
How long does it take to preheat the grill plate?
Preheating usually takes about 5 to 7 minutes depending on the selected temperature. The indicator light will turn off or change color when the plate is ready.
Can I cook frozen food directly on the grill plate?
Yes, but it is recommended to thaw frozen food first for even cooking and to prevent excessive splattering. If cooking directly from frozen, increase cooking time and reduce heat to avoid burning the outside.
Is this grill plate suitable for induction cooktops?
No, the Optimus ARGRILL02 is a standalone electric appliance with its own heating element. It is not designed for use on induction or any other cooktop.
Does the grill plate have a non-stick coating?
Yes, it features a non-stick coating for easy release of food and simple cleaning. Avoid using cooking sprays as they can build up and reduce effectiveness.
How should I store the grill plate when not in use?
Ensure the plate is completely cool and clean. Store it in a dry, upright position if space allows, or flat with a protective layer (like a cloth) to prevent scratches on the non-stick surface.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
Discontinue use immediately. The power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a qualified technician to avoid hazard. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
