How to clean the Gorenje HBC802QB immersion blender?

The blender shaft is removable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. For hand washing, use a soft sponge and dish soap. Never immerse the motor block in water.

Can I blend hot liquids with this appliance?

Yes, but let it cool to maximum 80°C to avoid damaging the plastic and seals. Do not fill the container more than halfway to prevent splashes.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the shaft is properly engaged until it clicks. Make sure the plug is inserted and the speed control is in the on position. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to change the speed of the immersion blender?

Use the speed slider located on the handle. Slide it toward the high-speed symbol for faster blending, or toward the low-speed symbol for slower speed.

Is the immersion blender shaft removable?

Yes, the stainless steel shaft detaches from the motor block. Press the eject button located at the back of the handle to easily remove it.

Can I blend ice cubes with the Gorenje HBC802QB?

Yes, but use the pulse function in short bursts to avoid overloading the motor. Make sure the ice cubes are not too large (maximum 2 cm).

Is there a pulse function on this immersion blender?

Yes, the pulse function is activated by holding the power button pressed with the speed set to the maximum position. Release to stop.

How long can I use the blender continuously?

It is recommended not to exceed 1 minute of continuous use, then let it cool for 2 minutes. For thick mixtures, reduce the time to 30 seconds.

Can I blend directly in a pot?

Yes, the stainless steel shaft is heat-resistant, but avoid hitting the bottom of the pot. Preferably use a large container to avoid splashes.

ENVIRONMENT

• Unwind the power cord completely.
• Attach the blending attachment (4) to the appliance (1).
• Place food in the provided container or another suitable container.
• Hold the blender and the container. To prevent splashing, first immerse the blender in the food, then press the on button (2).
• When using the normal speed button, you can adjust the speed with the speed selector. The higher the speed, the less time is needed for processing. To select a different speed setting, turn the speed selector (3) to the desired setting before pressing the normal speed button or while pressing it (2).

• Insert the whisk (5) into the blending unit and turn it clockwise until it locks. • Place food in the container.
• Hold the appliance and the container, and press the on button (2). You can use the speed adjustment button (4) or the turbo button (3).

How to use

This hand blender is a household appliance and is not intended for commercial use. Use it for processing food in the usual quantities for domestic use.

Store these instructions in a safe place and pass them on if the appliance changes hands. Before first use, wipe the handle of the blender with a damp cloth. Assemble the appliance properly before you put the plug in the wall socket. Cut large ingredients into pieces of approximately 2cm before you process them. Let hot ingredients cool down before you chop them or pour them into the beaker (max. temperature 80°C).

Important safeguards

When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

- Read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.

This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). This guideline is the frame of a European-wide validity of return and recycling on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

• Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the appliance by the cord or yank it to disconnect it from the outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
• When using an extension cord with your appliance, make sure the extension cord is correctly wired and rated for its use.
• This product is intended for household use only.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself; instead, take it to your nearest Service Centre or Authorised Service Agent for repair.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Handle the sharp blades carefully, especially during removing and emptying the container and during cleaning.
• Do not touch the blades of the blender bar, especially when the appliance is plugged in. The

blades are very sharp.

• If the blades get stuck, unplug the appliance before you remove the ingredients that block the blades.
• Be very careful when you handle or clean the blade unit or the combination disc. Their cutting edges are very sharp. Be especially careful when you clean them and when you empty the bowl.
• The bowl is not suitable for use in microwave ovens.

Handling the appliance

The appliance is used for mixing mayonnaise, gravy, shakes, baby food, and for chopping onions, ice, cooked fruit and vegetables.

Caution! Hand blender is not suitable for the preparation of mashed potatoes.

• Attach the blending device (4) to the appliance (1).
• Insert food into the beaker or any other suitable bowl.
• Grip both the blender and the bowl. To prevent splashing first dip the blender blade into the food and then press the ON button (2).
• Caution! When finished first switch the blender off and then lift it from the bowl.
• Press and hold (2) button to switch on the appliance. When you use the normal speed button, you can adjust the speed with the speed selector (4). The higher the speed, the shorter the processing time required. To select a different speed setting, turn the speed selector to the preferred setting before or while you press the normal speed button.

Warning: Do not process more than 30 seconds without interruption. Let the appliance cool down to room temperature before you continue processing.

Using the beater

Before connecting the beater onto the motor unit, make sure the blender is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

• Insert the whisk (5) by grasping it into the beater body (6). Screw the beating attachment to the main unit by turning it counterclockwise.
• Place the ingredients to be mixed in the bowl/beaker.
• Hold the appliance and the bowl, and push the start button (2). Use the speed control knob (3) to select a speed.

Warning: Do not process for more than 30 seconds without interruption. Let the appliance cool down to room temperature before you continue processing.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Caution! Do not immerse the appliance in water and do not wash it in the dishwasher.

• Wipe the appliance first with a damp cloth and then with a dry cloth.
• Blending Attachment (4): wipe first with a damp cloth and then with a dry cloth.

Remark: During the processing of vegetables with aggressive coloring, e.g., red cabbage, plastic parts may be subject to discoloration. This may be removed by rubbing such surfaces with a few drops of cooking oil.

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.
