How to load paper in the standard trays?

Pull the tray towards you, adjust the guides according to the paper size (A4, A3, etc.), insert the stack of paper without exceeding the maximum capacity marks (250 sheets per tray). Make sure the side to be printed is facing up. Push the tray back in all the way.

How to use the bypass tray?

Open the bypass tray located on the right side of the machine. Adjust the guides according to the media (envelope, transparency, cardstock). Insert a single sheet or a stack of sheets (max 100). For light (52 g/m²) or heavy (up to 256 g/m²) paper weights, use this tray. Select the media type in the printer menu if necessary.

How to replace the toner?

Open the front cover of the printer. Remove the used toner by pulling it towards you. Insert the new compatible toner (RICOH PxP™) until it clicks into place. Close the cover. The machine performs a distribution cycle. Do not throw the used toner in the trash; recycle it according to local regulations.

How to clear a paper jam?

Check the printer screen which indicates the jam location. Open the indicated covers (front cover, rear cover, or tray). Gently remove the jammed paper by pulling in the direction of the paper path. Make sure no fragments remain. Close all covers. Once the jam is cleared, printing resumes automatically.

How to set up automatic duplex printing?

In the print settings of your application (Word, PDF, etc.), select the 'Duplex' or 'Two-sided' option. For default printing, access the print driver via the Windows Control Panel, on the 'Finishing' tab, check 'Duplex'. The device has a standard built-in duplex unit.

How to scan a document to a network folder?

Place your documents in the automatic document feeder or on the glass. On the touch screen, press 'Scan' then 'Folder'. Select the preconfigured destination folder (via Web Image Monitor). Adjust settings (format, resolution, color). Press 'Start'. The scan is sent directly to the shared folder.

How to send a fax with the fax option installed?

Place the document in the automatic document feeder or on the glass. Press 'Fax' on the touch screen. Dial the recipient's number using the numeric keypad or an address book. Press 'Start'. For memory transmission, the document is scanned and then sent automatically.

What print drivers are available?

The standard driver is RPCS™ (Ricoh Printer Controller System). Optionally, you can install the PCL5c or PCL6 driver. All are available on the Ricoh website. The drivers support Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Server 2003/Server 2008 as well as IBM iSeries and AS/400 environments.

How to clean the exterior and glass of the device?

Turn off the device and unplug it. Use a soft, dry cloth for the exterior. For the glass, use a slightly damp cloth (clean water) then wipe with a dry cloth. Never use solvents or abrasive products. Clean the document feeder regularly to avoid marks on copies.

What is the maximum paper capacity of the device?

The maximum capacity is 1,600 sheets, achieved by combining the standard trays (2 x 250 sheets), the bypass tray (100 sheets), and the two optional trays (2 x 500 sheets). The maximum output capacity is 550 sheets on the output tray.

They accept sizes between A3 and A6, from light (52 g/m² via the bypass tray) to heavy (256 g/m² via standard and bypass trays). Glossy and coated papers or card stock are processed effortlessly. Even envelopes and transparencies can conveniently be fed via the standard bypass tray.
