How to assemble the Tristar BL-4431 food processor?

Place the base on a flat surface. Mount the bowl by turning counterclockwise until it clicks. Insert the desired accessory (blade or disc), then close the lid by turning until it locks. Plug in and select the speed.

How to use the grating/slicing disc?

Place the plastic disc in the bowl, then the grating/slicing disc on top. For slicing, the side with the slot should be facing up; for grating, turn the disc over. Insert food into the chute and use the pusher.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the bowl and lid are properly locked (you should hear a click). Make sure the speed selector is not on 0. If the problem persists, let the motor cool down for 15 minutes before trying again.

Can I wash the parts in the dishwasher?

No, the removable parts (bowl, lid, accessories) are not designed for the dishwasher. Wash them in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.

How to clean the motor base?

Never immerse the base in water. Clean it with a soft, clean, damp cloth. Dry immediately.

What types of food can I prepare?

With the metal blade: for chopping, mixing or blending preparations. With the grating/slicing disc: for grating hard vegetables (carrots, potatoes) or slicing fruits and vegetables (cucumbers, onions).

How to avoid injuries with the blades?

The blades are very sharp. Never touch the blades with bare hands. Always use the pusher to introduce food into the chute. Unplug the appliance before changing accessories.

What to do in case of motor overheating?

The appliance is equipped with overheating protection. If the motor stops, set the selector to 0, unplug and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before using again.

What is the warranty period?

The appliance has a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. Keep the receipt for any claim. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not normal wear or misuse.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging of the device.
• Check if the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the main voltage of your home. Rated voltage : AC220-240V 50Hz.
• Always place the unit on a flat stable surface and ensure at least 10 cm. free space around the unit. This device is not suitable for outdoor installation or use.
• Wash before using the device for the first time all supplied loose parts in a warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. These parts are not dishwasher proof.
• Caution! Never immerse the base (no. 5) in water or other liquid. Clean the base with a clean soft, damp cloth.
• Beware! The blades of the slicing and chopping disk (no. 8) and the chopping blade (no. 9) are very sharp, avoid physical contact, you can seriously injure.

Safety closure

• Place the base (no. 5) on a flat stable surface and not near a sink filled with water or something, make sure the plug is not placed in the socket and the speed selector (no. 6) is selected on the 0 mode.
• Place the bowl (no. 4) on the base and turn it counter clockwise until you hear a click, otherwise the device will not work for safety reasons. Place the chopping blade (no. 9). Place the ingredients in the bowl.
• Turn the lid counter-clockwise on the can and make sure the appendix of the lid slides in the safety lock, otherwise the device will not work for safety reasons.

For a slow working select mode 1, mode 2 for faster, 0 for disable mode. For a short fast operation, select the Pulse mode, you should continue to hold down the switch in this position, due to possible overheating of the engine. Allow the unit to cool down before further use.

• Place the bowl (no. 4) on the base and turn it counter clockwise until you hear a click, otherwise the device will not work for safety reasons. Insert the supplied plastic disc (no.2) in the bowl, place the slicing and chopping disc on the plastic disc. For cutting discs ensure that the knife is at the top. For grating turn the disc, so that the grating part is at the top.
• Turn the lid with the filling shaft (no. 1), counter clockwise, on the can and ensure that the appendix of the lid slides in the safety closure, otherwise the device will not work for safety reasons.

For a slow working select mode 1, mode 2 for faster, 0 for disable mode. For a short fast operation, select the Pulse mode, you should continue to hold down the switch in this position, due to possible overheating of the engine. Allow the unit to cool down before further use.

• Place the cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables in the filling shaft. Always use the supplied pistil to press the fruit and vegetables into the shaft. Never do this with your hands, you can seriously injure by touching the rotating blades. Also do not use other objects, the device may malfunction.

• Always place a large bowl under the eject gap (no. 2), to catch the cut or grated fruit and vegetables.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always remove the plug from the outlet before storage or cleaning the device.
• Clean the loose parts in a warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. These parts are not dishwasher proof.
• Clean the outside of the device with a clean soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid.

Caution! The blades of the slicing and chopping disk (no. 8) and the chopping blade (no. 9) are very sharp, avoid physical contact, you can seriously injure.

GARANTEE

• Tristar is not liable for damages occurred through:

o In case the appliance has fallen.

o In case the appliance has been technically changed by the owner or another third party.

o In case of improper use of the appliance.

o In case of normal wear of the appliance.

• By executing repairs the original warranty period of 2 years will not be extended, nor the right to a complied new warranty. This warranty is only legal on European soil. This warranty does not overrule the European directive 1944/44CE

• Always keep your receipt, without this receipt you can not claim any form of warranty whatsoever.

• Damage caused by not following the instruction manual will lead to a void of warranty, if this results in consequential damages Tristar will not be liable.

• Tristar will not be liable for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use or if the safety instructions are not properly executed.
• Cleaning, as mentioned in this manual, is the only necessary maintenance for this appliance.
• When the appliance should be repaired, make sure that this will be performed by an authorized company.
• This appliance may not be amended or changed.
• If problems arise during the 2 years from the date of purchase, which are covered by the factory warranty, you can go back to the point of purchase to replace it for a new one.
• For questions or compliances please contact your retailer "point of purchase."
• This appliance is covered with a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).
• Only material or manufacturing defects are included in this warranty.
• If you wish to make a claim please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.
• Damage to accessories does not mean automatic free replacement of the whole appliance. In such cases please contact our hotline. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts are always subject to a charge.
• Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of these parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!
• The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.
• After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
