Frequently Asked Questions - VH 227 AEG

How do I turn on the AEG VH 227 heater?
Plug the heater into a suitable mains socket and turn the power knob to the desired setting (e.g., I or II). Then adjust the thermostat knob to your preferred temperature.
What should I do if the heater stops working suddenly?
Check if the tip-over safety switch has activated; place the heater on a level, stable surface. Also verify that the overheat protection hasn't triggered—allow it to cool down and reset automatically.
Can I use the heater in a bathroom?
No, this heater is not splash-proof and should not be used in wet areas. It is rated for indoor use only, away from water sources.
How do I clean the VH 227?
Always unplug the heater and let it cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, abrasive cleaners, or immerse the unit. The air inlet/outlet can be vacuumed gently.
What does the oscillation feature do?
The oscillation function makes the heater rotate side to side (about 70°) to distribute warm air more evenly across the room.
Is the heater safe to leave unattended?
While the heater has safety features (overheat protection, tip-over switch), it is recommended not to leave it unattended for long periods. Keep flammable materials at least 1 meter away.
Why does the fan run even when not heating?
The heater has a fan-only mode (setting 0 or fan symbol) to circulate air without heat. Also, after the thermostat reaches temperature, the heating element may switch off but the fan continues briefly to cool down the unit.
How can I improve heating efficiency?
Place the heater in the center of the room away from obstructions. Close doors and windows to retain heat. Use the thermostat to maintain a constant temperature rather than running at max continuously.
What does the thermostat do?
The thermostat regulates the room temperature. Turn the knob to a higher number for more heat; the heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.
Where can I find spare parts or accessories?
Contact AEG customer service or visit authorized service centers. Spare parts such as knobs, feet, and fan blades may be available. Refer to the user manual for part numbers.
