The appliance is an electric direct heater for installation on a wall. It is suitable as, for example, a complete heating system in bathrooms, or for use between seasons and use as a booster heater in smaller rooms, such as hobby and guest rooms.
For heating, the room air is drawn in by the appliance fan via apertures in the back panel, heated by the heating element, and blown out evenly, without sensation of a draught, via the air outlet grille at the bottom of the appliance.

4. Operation
The required room temperature can be infinitely adjusted with the temperature selector. The set temperature of the room air is then constantly maintained by repeated, brief heating via the thermostat in the appliance.
If you want to use the appliance as a frost stat, turn the temperature selector anti-clockwise as far as it will go. In this position, the thermostat switches on the heating automatically if the room temperature drops to approx. 6°C.

Note
To shut down, unplug the appliance.
4.1 Appliance type controls
| Rotary selector/appliance type | VH 206 | VH 227 | VH 229 |
| Temperature selector | x | x | x |
| 60 min time switch | x | ||
| 24 hour timer | x |
4.2 Temperature selector
The required temperature range can be set at the temperature selector. When the room temperature falls below the set value, full heating output switches on, and when the set room temperature is achieved, it switches off again.

4.3 60 min time switch

CAUTION Burns
The appliance could continue to heat the room unchecked if it is operated on a time switch. Ensure constant supervision if the appliance is used in a small room and the persons within that room cannot leave the room on their own.
The appliance operates in two output stages:
- In controller mode: The temperature selector is operational; the appliance operates with the standard heating output of 1000 W.
- In operation with the time switch: The appliance operates with full heating output until the end of the set time. During this period, the temperature selector is non-operational. After this the temperature selector takes control of the appliance again. The operating time selected can be interrupted at any point by turning back the time switch.

4.4 24 hour selection

CAUTION Burns
The appliance could continue to heat the room unchecked if it is operated on a time switch. Ensure constant supervision if the appliance is used in a small room and the persons within that room cannot leave the room on their own.
With the switch to the right of the timer, select one of three operating modes

1 Controller mode: In this mode the appliance is operated at the temperature selector. 2 Constant mode: The appliance heats continuously with 2000 W until controller mode or timer mode is reselected. 3 Timer mode switch: The appliance switches on and off in the pre-programmed heating times. During the heating time the appliance heats continuously (2000 W). During the switch-off time, operate the appliance at the temperature selector.
4.4.1 Operating the timer
Standard time setting
Scale on the timer = 24 hour clock.
Set the marking to the current time.

Programming the heating time

Note
To adjust the heating time, set the operating mode to "Timer mode".
1 tab = 30 minutes' heating time
Specify the beginning and end of the heating time or times. Then pull up the tabs opposite the corresponding numbers.

1 tab up (30 minutes): Heating starts: 12:30 h - heating ends: 13:00 h
2 tabs up (60 minutes): Heating starts: 05:30 h - heating ends: 06:30 h

Note
To achieve energy-saving operation in timer mode, at the temperature selector set a lower standard temperature for the switch-off time than the required room temperature. During the heating time the appliance heats with 2000 W. To save energy, never select a longer than necessary usage time.
5. Cleaning, care and maintenance
If a pale brownish discolouration appears on the appliance casing, wipe this off as soon as possible with a damp cloth. Clean the appliance when cold with ordinary cleaning products. Avoid abrasive or corrosive cleaning products.

Material losses
Never spray cleaning spray into the air slot.
