How to use the ECG RM 995 SET immersion blender?

Insert the shaft into the motor block until you hear a click. Plug in the appliance, immerse the shaft into the food and select the desired speed (1 or 2) or use the Turbo function for maximum power.

Can I blend hot foods?

Yes, but be careful not to exceed 80°C to avoid damaging the shaft. Use a suitable container and proceed in short bursts.

How to clean the immersion blender?

Unplug the appliance. Disassemble the shaft by pressing the release buttons. Wash the shaft with soapy water or in the dishwasher. Clean the motor block with a damp cloth, never under water.

What to do if the blender does not start?

Check that the shaft is properly engaged. Make sure the power outlet is functional. If the problem persists, contact ECG after-sales service.

What are the different speeds for?

Speed 1 is ideal for delicate preparations (sauces, soups). Speed 2 is suitable for thicker mixtures. The Turbo function provides an extra boost of power for hard foods.

Can I blend directly in the pot?

Yes, provided the pot bottom is flat and non-stick to avoid scratching the shaft. Preferably use the provided bowl for more stability.

How to use the included whisk?

Attach the whisk (accessory) instead of the shaft. Use it to beat eggs, cream, or light sauces. Do not exceed speed 2.

Is the shaft removable?

Yes, the shaft can be easily disassembled for cleaning. To remove it, press the side buttons and pull gently.

What is the warranty of the appliance?

The ECG RM 995 SET has a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Keep your receipt for any claims.

Warning: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this manual, do not include all conditions and situations possible. To protect against a risk of fire or electric shock, basic precautions shall be taken while using electrical appliances, including the following:

1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed according to valid safety instructions.
2. Do not operate blender with a damaged cord. All repairs including cord replacements shall be performed by a professional service centre! Do not remove protective covers of the appliance, risk of electric shock!
3. Protect the appliance against direct contact with water and other liquids, to prevent potential electric shock.
4. Do not operate the immersion blender outdoors or in a moist environment and do not touch the cord or appliance with wet hands. Risk of electric shock.
5. Close supervision is necessary for operating the immersion blender near children!
6. Do not leave the immersion blender running unattended.
7. Hair, fingers or parts of clothing shall be kept far enough from the moving parts of the appliance. Do not place any tools or hands into the bowl while blending, risk of injury or damaging the appliance. You may use the spatula only if the blender is switched off.
8. Before switching the appliance on, set the container in place, attach the blades to the motor and only then insert the plug in the power outlet. This reduces the risk of injury.
9. Pay close attention when handling attachments, blades are very sharp and can cause injury.
10. Use the immersion blender for processing foods only. The highest possible temperature of processed food is 80^ C. Do not use boiling food.
11. Leaving the blender cord connected to outlet unattended is not recommended. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to performing maintenance. Do not pull the cord from the outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.
12. Do not use the immersion blender near a source of heat, for example, an oven. Protect it from direct sunlight.
13. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.
14. Always unplug from outlet immediately after use.
15. Use accessories only approved by the manufacturer, otherwise you risk voiding the warranty.
16. Use the immersion blender only in accordance with the instructions in this manual. This immersion blender is intended for domestic use only. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by the improper use of this appliance.
17. The appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or if they were instructed how to use the appliance safely and understand potential dangers.
18. Children may not play with the appliance
19. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and power supply away from children.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - BLENDER

The immersion blender is intended for preparing gravies, icings, soups, mayonnaises, children's dishes, cocktails and milkshakes.

Before fi rst use:

Before using the blender for the first time, fill the bowl half way with water, immerse the blade of the blender to the bottom of the bowl and blend for several seconds. Rinse the entire attachment and bowl well afterwards.

1. Insert the ingredients into the mixing bowl or another higher kitchen container. Do not use the blender to crush ice, cut nuts or other hard food.

2. Place the removable attachment on the motor until it "falls" into place.

3. Uncoil the entire cord and plug into the outlet.

4. Insert the appliance into the mixing bowl containing food and press the desired speed button on the upper part of the appliance body. Blend in circular motions from the bottom.

5. Release the button to stop the blender. Unplug the power cord from the outlet after you are finished blending.

Note: The maximum time for continuous operation of the appliance is 1 minute, let it rest for at least 3 minutes prior to further use. Otherwise the appliance will overheat and become damaged.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - CHOPPER

The chopper is designed to chop hard foods, like meat, cheese, onion, herbs, garlic, carrots, nuts, almonds, plums etc. Do no chop very hard foods, like ice cubes, nutmeg, coffee beans or grains.

Before fi rst use:

Carefully remove the plastic cover from the blade before using the appliance for the first time. Attention: The chopping blade is very sharp! Always hold it by the top plastic part.

1. Place the chopping blade on the shaft inside the chopping bowl. Push the blade down and lock the bowl. Always place the chopping bowl safely on an anti-skid surface.

2. Put food into the chopping container.

3. Place the lid on the chopping container.

4. Place the body of the appliance (the part with motor) on the lid of the chopping container until it snaps into place.

5. Press button to start the operation of the appliance. During the chopping process, hold the appliance body with one hand and the chopping bowl with the other.

button for replacing the attachments to disconnect the appliance body from the bowl.

1. Then remove the lid of the bowl.

2. Remove the chopping blade carefully and take out the processed foods.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - BEATER

Use the beater only for making whipped creams, egg whites, baked goods and mixed desserts.

1. Insert the beater in the beater holder and then place on the body of the appliance until it clicks into place.
2. Insert the spatula into the bowl before pressing the button to switch the appliance on.
3. After you are finished, unplug the appliance from the outlet and press the button for replacing the attachments to disconnect the beater holder. Afterwards, remove the beater from the holder.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet prior to performing any maintenance.
• Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
• Do not use scrubber, abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Wipe the body containing the motor using wet cloth. Never immerse in water!
- All other parts may be washed in the dishwasher. However, we recommend that you rinse the parts immediately after use, when processing very salty foods.
• Take care that you do not use too much of detergent or descaling products in the dishwasher.
- When processing foods with food dyes, the plastic parts of the appliance may become stained. Wipe these parts with vegetable oil before you load them into the dishwasher.
• The blades are very sharp, be very careful when cleaning the appliance!

Quick rinsing

Immerse the tool in a glass half filled with water and let it run for a few seconds between individual uses.
